That, ladies and gentlemen, is the sort of win I'd like to pour on my strawberries. ;)

What a win!!! It seems only yesterday you told me your squad was s**t and you didn't have enough money to build a competitive squad, and know here you are, potentially becoming professional.

I sincerely congratulate you on your achievement, Griffo. *thumbs up*

Skrill Premier

Predicted to be relegated, Truro put together an amazing season to finish first in the Skrill Premier. Truro was up and down the top half of the ladder in the first half of the season, still playing well above expectations. Truro then reached the halfway point of the season moving into first and never looking back.

Truro will now move up to the Sky Bet League 2 where they will be once again predicted for relegation.

FA Cup

Truro received a tremendous draw in the FA Cup which saw the side progress all the way to the FA Cup 4th Round. They faced four non-league sides in a row until they drew Manchester United where Truro played in front of 72,016 fans losing 8-1.

Truro did not walk away from the fixture empty handed with the club earning well over a million pounds from that fixture alone.

FA Trophy

Attempting to defend what they had won in the previous year, the FA Trophy saw the only low point of Truro’s season. Aldershot eliminated Truro in the FA Trophy 1st Round, winning 2-0.

Top Goalscorer

Stewart Yetton

Once again Stewart Yetton has been awarded the award for Truro’s top goalscorer. Yetton scored 24 goals in 45 matches, proving that despite the club continuing the progress up the leagues he still plays a pivotal role in the clubs success.

Most Assists

http://s105.photobucket.com/user/chrisgriffin89/media/Untitled_zpse102addc.png.html

Jared Sims

Jared Sims truly came of age this season as he finished the season with the equal most assists in the Skrill Premier with 20. Sims also scored 11 goals, equalling his goal tally from his previous three seasons at the club.

Fans Player of the Year

http://s105.photobucket.com/user/chrisgriffin89/media/billyjones_zpsa46392f3.png.html

Billy Jones

The unsung hero of Truro’s campaign this season, free kick specialist Billy Jones in his second year at the club contributed with 10 goals and 14 assists as well as impressing defensively at left back throughout the season.
Brilliant season Griffo! :D

Great sesson. But the question is can Yetton keep banging them in at a higher level?

Will be interesting to see

Truro Turn Professional

http://s105.photobucket.com/user/chrisgriffin89/media/DavidCardozaNorthamptonTownFCPressConferenceCruwzvlEgZ9l_zpsc3f95165.jpg.html

Truro City chairman David Cardoza has announced that the club will turn professional after the club was promoted from the Skrill Premier to the Sky Bet League 2.

“Since I took over this was always the plan, regardless of whether we managed to get promoted or not” said Cardoza. “This move will see Truro City Football Club become the first professional football side in Cornwall’s history, something football in England has needed for some time” he added.
congrats on becoming professional, I can see big things ahead for this club

keep going!!

And there it is! Forget the FA Trophy, the Skrill Premier title, the promotion, the FA Cup loss to Manchester United. This is the pivotal moment in your career. Good luck.

Turning pro will be beneficial for the club, it was certainly to me :)
Great, great news for Truro! I hope you can continue like this! Onto the Premier League!

Hodges Thrilled At Truro Turning Professional

http://s105.photobucket.com/user/chrisgriffin89/media/LeeHodges_zpsc4b75022.jpg.html

Former Truro City player and manager Lee Hodges has commented on the side turning professional after being promoted to the Sky Bet League 2.

“Cornwall having a professional side in the English leagues is going to do wonders for Football in the region” said Hodges. “The manager has done a terrific job with the side and the whole squad should be proud of what they have achieved” he added.

Hodges is currently the assistant manager at Torquay United who will be one of Truro City’s division rivals in the Sky Bet League 2 this season.
Um, why is there a former Truro player not in your staff? ;)

Now that you're pro, you should scour England and build a backroom comprising completely of former Truro players, with a coaching spot reserved for Yetton. ;)
