Other than the signing of Wilson Palacios, Truro has signed defensive players heading into the season. Goalkeeper Daniel Lincoln and defenders Paul Black, Andrai Jones, Ryan Higgins are expected to help out a defence which conceded 74 goals last season.
Despite all the defensive signings, Truro has also signed former Portsmouth right winger Bradley Tarbuck, who is set to provide competition for Kelvin Etuhu who performed poorly last season.

After dealing with the match fixing scandal throughout the off-season, Truro released Dan Green and Ladjie Soukouna as soon as the club had knowledge of their involvement. Captain Arran Pugh also left the club after it was decided that he was no longer needed.
Truro released back up keeper Robert Miles, who had been with the club for six seasons, playing only 22 games during his time with the club. Niall Thompson was loaned to Salisbury, a club he has previously spent time at on loan while with Torquay.

Truro put together a perfect pre-season, facing teams who are from the Cornwall and Devon area. The form of striker Aiden O’Brien was particularly pleasing, scoring 9 goals in 6 games.
Out of the sides Truro is scheduled to face in the league during August, Shrewsbury, Bury & Chesterfield finished mid-table in the Sky Bet League 2 last season, with Wrexham promoted last season after winning the Skrill Premier.
In the Capital One Cup, Truro has drawn Wolves who currently play in the Sky Bet Championship and have players such as Loic Remy and Danny Wilson in their squad.
