An injury is an injury , if a player isn't on the pitch playing then it doesn't matter what the reason is , they're not doing what they're paid to do. What I meant was Hargreaves has been injured and hasn't played much , Owen has been injured and hasn't played much but Sir Alex payed something like £17 million for Hargreaves whereas Owen is 0 so if he spends the same length of time on the sidelines as Hargreaves it's not as bad.

I don't know exactly what's wrong with Hargreaves knees but obviously it's something major , surely they should of noticed something in the medical before signing him?
Owen will most likely be a good sub for United. He moved to Man U because he wanted to revitalize his career. As long as a goal scoring, determined, Michael Owen shows up on the pitch week in and week out, no one is going to complain. The likelihood of that happening, in my opinion, would probably be 60%. +10% than the usual 50-50 chance because he's determined to make his career spike up again.

yeh when you elaborate on that point i dont disagree.

but i think with owen hargreaves he wasnt injured right away, it wasnt like he had really bad knees.

its been more of like this: injured, then coming back, not fully recovered and injured again, operation etc. the first season was just a bit of problem now and then. but after that he needed a operation etc. and now he seems to be back in what october? hopefully anyways.

M.Owen though has had more different muscle injuries as well as anything else.

of course when you take money into the perspective its something else. but looking at O.Hargreaves he is a fantastic player and wasnt brought in at an good age. And also had a great first season.
Alberto Massacci having talks with united Sky Sports
another controversial signing, the italians really hate man utd hehe

reminds me, i would love to see rossi back at the club

so do the english :satisfied
never been a big fan on rossi
I heard a quote from Owen, made me chuckle.

"I want to score a few goals"

He clearly doesn't even rate himself!
i seen a quote from owen

Owen Im confident i will have the last laugh
im sure he will because of the money he is on and he wont play
he was saying that because of all the critics apparently!
Just come up on the BBC website

"Manchester United: Sir Alex Ferguson says United will make no more signings over the summer."

Fantastic!!! He takes £80million and decides to horde it away in a bank account!!! I mean Obertan was a good signing for the future, Owen a free super sub, Valencia he paid well over the odds, but all in all some good business. But with that amount of money to splash and then he doesnt?! Brilliant!!! :yes
Sir Alex has inched closer to penning a deal for eto worth £150,000–a–week for 4 years
hes also on the verge of signing douglas costa for around £20m
the xavi thing is insane coz he has asked barcelona to bring in frank ribery to play alongside him. . .
ashley young is an option for sir Alex if he fails to land david silva

i have got enough evidence suggestin the intrest of john terry in having talks with man city over a possible transfer move
finally chelsea are preparin a £50m+deco/carvalho bid for swedish sensation ibrahamovich. . .
i hope that isnt the end of the signings for united

hoping ashley young and douglas costa come in
I think that really is it for United over the summer now, Fergie wouldnt come out and say that unless he meant it.
Sir Alex is right though , the market is overinflated thanks to Real and Man city.

yep, it will take years of sensible/realisic buying by all clubs to sort this mess out
Lets be honest though, sure Man City are moving up in the world, and theyve made some huge and truly ridiculous bids, but theyve hardly set the transfer market on its head.

Barry - £12mil (Fair price? I think thats reasonable, last season Villa had him at £18mil)
Santa Cruz - £18mil (Over priced a little, but its not huge; look what he did at Blackburn in his first season)
Tevez - FREE!!! (A bargain, his wage demands are well within their means.)

Ok Adebayor may be coming too, but theyre hardly blitzing the transfer market buying every player they want for double the money. Thats Reals job.
