FA Cup third round draw

Third round of the FA Cup sees us drawn against Watford with the tie to be played at Vicrage Road. this round hasnt really drawn any real big names together but no doubt the clash of the round is Manchester United vs Everton to be played at Old Trafford

December - back in business
what a month and a turnaround in fortunes December proved to be, despite losing to Sunderland in the Barclays Premier League weve been absolutely ruthless in front of goal whilst also remaining very strong at the back. our aim for next month will be to stay undefeated and continue to push on

Finally we have managed to get a string of strong results together and push our way back up the table where we now sit in 5th, only 3 points off that final Champions League place

Southampton was our next opponent in the Capital One Cup, though we won the match 2-0 we werent in complete control and were kept scoreless until the second half when Diego Costa and Gary Cahill came up with the goals to send Chelsea through.
this win put us in the hat for the semi final draw where we will play Manchester United

though we had already qualified for the knockout round i felt no need to field a weakened team as first place was still well and truly up for grabs. we raced to a 2-0 lead early on, but Sporting Lisbon came back strong and eventually pulled 2 goals back to draw the match 2-2
the draw with Sporting Lisbon left us in second place in the group because Juventus destroyed AaB in the final group game

Champions League Knockout Round Draw

well..... the team that everyone wanted to avoid drawing in the next round we've ended up getting, Bayern Munich is our next opponent in the UEFA Champions League, the first leg to be played at Stamford Bridge, we will be heading to the Allianz Arena for the return leg 2 weeks later
Very unlucky at the draw as you'll have to face Bayern...but the thing that I can't explain is how on earth is Man Utd playing so well??
@AAN Jose Mourinho took charge of Manchester United that's why :)
Good luck against Bayern, good to see you working your way back up the table!
that'll be a tough match, but best of luck!

Awards night

Cesc Fabregas has been named in the FIFA World XI, this is a great accomplishment for Cesc as hes trained his socks off week in week out and racked up a hatful of assists and is form is a main reason why Chelsea have climbed the Premier League ladder in the last month and a half

Thibaut Courtois has won the young player of the month for December after a string of top quality performances for Chelea this past month, his form has kept Petr Cech out of the squad

Semi Final first leg

very interesting first leg at Stamford Bridge with Manchester United obviously set out to disrupt our game with foul after foul adn it worked when Adnan Januzaj put them ahead in the 27th minute with Micheal Carrick doubling Manchester Uniteds lead four minutes later, Oscar pulled a goal back for Chelsea right before halftime as the score went to halftime at 2-1, it was all Chelsea in the second half hitting the post on two occasions, with time running out Chelsea youth starlet Mario Pasalic scoring a close range tap in to ensure the tie at Old Trafford in two weeks time is well and truly on
Going to Old Trafford will be tough, good luck!
Semi Final second leg

well what can I say? it was a great game for the neutrals, but as manager it was very frustrating to watch as my team gave away an early goal and never really recovered from it. w did manage to score 3 goals against the current run away Premier League leaders but our defence never looked stable, changes will need to be made in future matches to rectify this problem. Next season we will come back better and go onto win the competition
Tough loss to take but keep going, the results will come!

January
January proved to be a mixed bag of results really, we crashed out of the COC in the semi final, but weve managed to progress in the FA Cup which is a positive. 3 losses really isnt good enough though, especially that loss to Stoke

how weve managed to stay within touching distance of the top 4 astounds me really, we only won two matches in the league this month but luckily other results have swung our way. surely it cant be to late for a title push, though Manchester United are looking pretty comfortable right now

the third round of the FA Cup took us to Vicrage Road to play Watford, we were always in full control of this match despite conceding alot of possession. we eventually went on to win the match 4-2 and progress to the 4th round

We were never in any danger of exiting against a very poor QPR side, we dominated from start to finish scoring two goals in the process and winning the match 2-0, this win outs us in the hat for the 5th round

FA Cup 5th round draw

So, a home tie against either Wigan or Blackburn awaits us in the 5th round and we are very confident we will progress to the quarter final stage of the competition, undoubtedly the match of the round is Liverpool v Arsenal @Anfield

A Jordan Rhodes brace helped Blackburn Rovers overcome Wigan in the FA Cup 4th round replay which means we now now Blackburn in the 5th round at Stamford Bridge, ill be expecting us to progress but we will have to closely watch Rhodes cause he is a threat

You should be able to finish in the Champions League spots, hopefully you can also have a good run in the FA Cup as well!
Quite an easy draw, and I think you should be able to maybe win the FA Cup! Good luck in the FA Cup, and in the league, I think you can finish at least 4th!
February

only six matches this month, we managed to pick up 3 wins, 2 losses and draw so it wasnt the best of months but we are still in the race for all 3 comps left in the year. hopefully we can make one major final this season to really give the fans something to cheer about

With only 11 matches left of the season we sit 8 points behind fourth placed Manchester City, slowly we are looking very likely to miss out on Champions League football next season. a big month in march could change that though so we will be hoping to take maximum points next month

Quarter Final here we come, Blackburn Rovers did not provide much resistance against us and we should have won by alot more but from some poor finishing from my strikers, Jordan Rhodes was the only threat to us but Lars Bender marked him out of the game completely and didnt register one shot at goal

Quarter Final draw

Liverpool awaits us in the Quarter Final of the FA Cup with the match to be played at Anfield, this should be a very interesting match up between two sides that have struggled in the Premier League so far this season

First Knouckout Round
1-1 at Stamford Bridge and tbh we were very lucky to get a draw out of this match because we were outplayed, Bayern had several chances to wrap up the match but Thibaut Courtois had a tremendous match and really kept us in it
