You certainly weren't the boss over Oxford in this game, but congrats with the victory nonetheless
James Brown's season review

I joined after so many failed job requests. Dagenham and Redbridge were in 21st position, where 22nd gets you relegated out of league football. I was only out of the relegation spot on goal difference. This is what I managed to do:
Dag & Red 1-0 Oxford
Zavon Hines (60) (Dag & Red)
Wycombe 1-0 Dag & Red
Stuart Lewis (74) (Wycombe)
Dag & Red 2-1 Portsmouth
Rhys Murphy (4) (Dag & Red)
Abu Ogogo (38) (Dag & Red)
Ryan Taylor (61) (Portsmouth)
Torquay 2-2 Dag & Red
Rhys Murphy (35) (Dag & Red)
Ben Harding (45+1) (Torquay)
Jayden Stockley (51) (Torquay)
Scott Doe (90+2) (Dag & Red)
Dag & Red 1-2 Chesterfield
Ollie Banks (3) (Chesterfield)
Rhys Murphy (4) (Dag & Red)
Tendayi Darikwa (25) (Chesterfield)
Dag & Red 0-0 Northampton
This match saved us from relegation.

This is me celebrating my victory.
Cheltenham 3-1 Dag & Red
Sean Thornton (27) (Cheltenham)
Jason Gavin (34) (Dag & Red)
Pavol Suhaj (39) (Cheltenham)
Terry Gornell (83) (Cheltenham)
Not bad for a guy who was dead a year ago. For once in my life I am a great football manager.
Maik Taylor retires
http://www.sporting-heroes.net/content/thumbnails/00186/18497-zoom.jpg
Today, Dagenham & Redbridge and Birmingham fans are celebrating the career of Maik Taylor, who announced his retirement from football, despite manager James Brown attempting to convince him to stay in the club.Taylor, 42, said "I feel that my career was a very successful one. I will always be proud of my 88 caps for Northern Ireland and my many more appearances for Birmingham and Fulham. They are times I will treasure for the rest of my life.
He began his career at Farnborough, where he only stayed for one season, but made a big impression in the first team. He rejected a contract offer from Farnborough, in favour of starting his professional career with Barnet.
Southampton, then in the Premier League, signed him, and he was a rotation option. He later left for Fulham in seek of more first team football. It was during his time here that he made his international debut for Northern Ireland, against Germany in March 98.
After a loan spell at Birmingham, he signed permanently for them in 2004. There, he was in the first team up until 2009, making many appearances until he joined Millwall.
At the end of his career, he joined the resurrected James Brown at Dagenham and Redbridge, where he became a fan favourite quickly during his 7 appearances.
His retirement isn't a shock, as his left knee is rapidly giving way, but fans will still be saddened by the decision. It will, however, be a good story to see who will take over the gloves at Dagenham and Redbridge.
It was just a funny thought that I had while watching Soccer Saturday. I don't think there has been another story like this before...

Transfers In
I wont do the transfers out, I released so many regen youth players. Here are my signings for the summer. I wanted these guys so bad.

Lee Desmond - $225k - Bought from Shamrock Rovers - Irish Left Back
Not our best player, but he will develop into that.
Dean Wells - Free from Braintree - English Centre Back
Sadly, he will feature mainly as backup this season.
Nat Wedderburn - $38.5k - Bought from Cowdenbeath - English Centre Mid
This guy will be in the starting lineup for most of the season, quality player.
Chris Weale - $140k - Bought from Shrewsbury - English Goalkeeper
Since Maik Taylor retired (in the middle of his contract) we needed a new goalkeeper. He was affordable, so we bought him.
Jordan Slew - Loan from Blackburn - English Striker
I'm playing with a lone striker, and this guy plays too well in that position.
Ryan Brown - Free - American Right Winger
Released from Houston after 3 appearances. They made a mistake...
Leo Fasan - Free - Italian Goalkeeper
Backup to Chris Weale. As far as our goalkeeping is concerned, it's a new day. I'll stop now.
Martin Samuelsen - Free - Norwegian Right Winger
Backup to Ryan Brown. I can see why Man City released him.
Bersant Celina - Free - Norwegian Striker
Backup again, I'm guessing that he's friends with Martin.

Good results, it must be said. Also, this isn't the strangest story on FMScout. The weirdest one always will be "Asda God". I don't think that you were a member when that was on, though.

Oh baby, don't you weep
This was bad on my part. It was a backroom advice meeting, and somebody decided that we should make Dean Wells a backup defender. He wasn't too happy about this.
Dean: Why am I now backup in the team? I've been in the starting lineup for the whole season!
Me: It was the goddamn coaches, not me.
Dean: I've heard this all before.
Me: No you haven't.
Dean: Yeah, you just don't want me in the team, you creepy twat.
Me: The hell you on about, kid?
Dean: You would have been a better manager when you were dead.
Me: Don't forget I have your contract. The shredder is over in that corner.
Dean: Go on, put it in.
Me: I will, and I'll make sure you wont get a team again. Now, go back to jail, dips**t.
I wont be seeing him at a club again.
September

Penalty shoot-outs. I had my first one this month. It was a good month, we are still top, now one point over Mansfield (Burton are now 7th, I don't know what happened). It was my first experience of penalties, and to be honest, I'd rather take concrete slippers to a swimming pool.
Daggers 0-0 MK Dons - Johnstone Paint Trophy First Round N
Daggers won 6-5 on penalties.
Stevenage 2-2 Daggers
Filipe Morais (11) (Stevenage)
