Who Am I:

I will be taking on the role of current 55-year-old Italian manager, Carlo Ancelotti. Ancelotti was born in Reggiolo on 10th June 1959. In a playing career which spanned 15 years from 1976 to 1991, Ancelotti made 338 appearances and scored 35 goals. He scored on his Italy debut against Holland in January 1981 and has gone on to make a further 26 appearances for his country. During his time with Giallorossi, Ancelotti's team lifted the Italian Cup in 1980, 1981, 1984 and 1986 and won the Serie A in 1981 and 1983. He finally decided to hang up his boots at the age of 31 in 1991 after four years playing for AC Milan.

Real Madrid: Club Background

Real Madrid's major trophies over the past years

Real Madrid is without doubt one of the most successful and known clubs around the world. The club was founded in 1902, and since then, has been a major fear to all football clubs around the world. The first team plays their home matches in the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium and trains at Ciudad Real Madrid.
Great start, I will be following!
Real Madrid presents New Manager
Real Madrid have presented new manager Carlo Ancelotti and announced that Zinedine Zidane and Paul Clement will be his assistants.

Ancelotti was introduced at a press conference at the Santiago Bernabeu by club president Florentino Perez.

Speaking in Spanish, the 54-year-old Italian said he was 'happy to be at the most prestigious club in the world.''This is the most prestigious club in the world and we have to win by playing the most spectacular football because the history and tradition of this club is in playing offensive football, and we're going to work hard to play the football that will make the fans happy,' said the former Chelsea and AC Milan boss.

'We have been to the training ground - it's fantastic. Everything that we need is there. I think this is going to be a very good project. I have the support of the club, the president and the fans, so I think this will be a very happy season for Real Madrid.'

Club president Florentino Perez outlined why he felt Ancelotti was the right coach for Madrid.

'His style and character fits the profile of this club perfectly,' he said. 'He is a proper football man, an intelligent man and a natural winner.

'He is the coach our directors and members wanted the most and he was also the coach I wanted the most.'
@Griffo Please do. Thanks
Real Madrid set to upgrade youth training facilities by the start of the next season
Florentino Perez is pleased to announce that plans are in place to improve the club's youth facilities
"Carlo has discussed this with me and I am sure that our bright young players will regularly rise up to the first team and will develop into quality players under Ancelotti's management. We already have two or more players currently in the first team who have graduated from the Real Madrid academy such as Jesé and Morata. I am confident that there will be several players who will play a role in the first team in the future", said Perez.

"I am of course delighted that Perez has agreed to my proposal to upgrade the youth training facilities. A football club's youth players are incredibly important. You can't just keep buying players, you must develop your own, and that is what I'm focusing on.", said Ancelotti.

The upgrade is expected to cost in the region of €6,250,000. The construction work will begin at the end of the season and is scheduled to finish by the start of next season.

Real Madrid Announce Official Champions League and La Liga Squad

Real Madrid have announced their squad for this season's Champions League and La Liga competition. Several key summer arrivals will have made Real Madrid even stronger than they were last year, with Isco and Gareth Bale joining the Spanish side from Malaga and Tottenham respectively. The departure of Mesut Ozil has caused a bit of discomfort within the Real Madrid camp, but Los Blancos possess enough quality to compete for the treble under new boss Carlo Ancelotti.
Good luck!

Player of Pre Season

Even though Ronaldo did not standout against the weaker teams, he stood out against the bigger ones. Ronaldo played a crucial role in our victories over Dortmund, Inter Milan, and Tottenham by scoring at least 1 goal in each match. The whole team impressed, but Ronaldo helped the team in the bigger matches.

We had an extremely good pre season. Beating big teams like Borussia Dortmund and Tottenham Hotspur with most players not fully fit was great. I am fully aware that I should not get complacent and think of myself as a legendary manager, well, not yet at least.
Flawless pre-season!
@Griffo: Yup!
@fzemdegs: Thanks
@captainbrickarms: Thanks
