Boreham Wood part ways with Ian Allinson

Earlier today,Boreham Wood announced his resignation from the Hertfordshire club. It was confirmed in his press conference this morning that he would be leaving the club based on a mutual agreement between him and the club chairman Danny Hunter. During his time at Boreham Wood (which lasted 6 years) Allinson managed to take Boreham Wood to promotion in the Isthmian League Premier Division via the play-offs in the 2009–10 season, defeating Kingstonian 2–0 in the final.

During his press conference, he said "It was a magnificent 6 years for me at the club but I just feel that it wouldn't be right to continue due to personal term between me and the club"

It is believed that Allinson left his managerial role at Meadow Park due to a disagreement between him and the board. According to reports, They had different ambitions for the club and were not happy in the way the club was heading. Ian Allisnon will now remain unemployed however reports suggest that Skrill North Club Colwyn Bay are interested in signing the 55 year-old following the sacking of their manager, Frank Sinclair earlier this month.

Club Chairman Danny Hunter also spoke about the resignation saying "It is a real shame that Ian [Allinson] has had to leave the club. He gave the fans some great moments to cherish and he will be missed". The search for a new manager now begins as unemployed managers Matt Elliot and Morell Maison are in line to take over.

Nike announce partnership with Borehamwood

It was announced this morning that American Kit Manufacture Nike will form a partnership with Skrill South club Borehamwood. The deal will take effect as of 1st July and Nike will also produce the Club's training kits. The deal was done in an attempt to drive the club forward. Nike, whose existing portfolio of clubs includes Manchester City, Barcelona and Juventus, will take over from errea's white jersey for the 2012/13 season.

The new kit sponsorship deal, negotiated in close collaboration with the Club’s retail and merchandise partner Kitbag, represents Nike’s first association with Borehamwood and will allow the wood the opportunity to extend their retail opportunities. With the club's home and away kit being released this week, Borehamwwod fans generally seem pleased with their new strip for the upcoming season. The home kit features a traditional white shirt with a black collar and sleeve with the away shirt being very similar to last season's. It features a light blue Shirt with a black pointed flat collar. The club sponsor (Barnet South gate College) will remain the same.

“Nike has an impeccable reputation and
we are confident that our supporters will be
excited by the new partnership.”

Borehamwood appoint unknown manager

Skrill South Club Borehamwood have announced the appointment of 38 year-old English Manager Richard Peterson on a 1 year contract at Meadow park. Everyone has been shocked by the appointment due to the stature of the manager, this is Peterson's first venture into senior management having only managed at U21 level. Former manager Ian Allinson resigned last week due to a disagreement between him and the board, who said last week that a new manager was already in line to take over despite the speculation that Colwyn Bay manager Frank Sinclair would take the post at Meadow Park.

From the little that is known of new Manager Richard Peterson, He is a very demanding and old-fashioned manager who wants 100 percent from every player. It is believed that He is already venturing into the transfer market and reports suggest that he is interested in Irish internationals Oliver Kelly and Barry Quinn.

A great start to a story! Good luck with the upcoming season.

I got this 18 year-old on loan from AFC Wimbledon. He's a right midfielder which is a position that really lacked cover so I decided to loan him due to the financial restrictions that come along with LLM. He's also got decent fitness and If he develops very well, I can decide to buy him as he has very good potential.

Factfile
Age: 18
Position: M(R/C)
Current ability:
Height: 5'10"
weight: 66 kg
Wages: On-Loan
Nationality:

After I loaned Tom Beere, I realised that my current winger (Graeme Montgomery) was covering both MR and ML but his best position war ML therefore I had to sign a MR that I could could put straight into the first team. I signed Oliver Kelly on a free transfer. He's got decent overall stats and suits my system very well.

Factfile
Age: 20
Position: D(R)
Current ability:
Height: 5'6"
weight: 68 kg
Wages: £200 p/w
Nationality:

Barry Quinn was signed simply for cover in the DC position. The other centre backs are by far better than him so he will only play if there is a case of injury or fatigue, and maybe the odd cup game. I got him because he was on really low wages compared to the other CBs I was looking to sign but he will only last a few more years.

Factfile
Age: 34
Position: DM, M(C)
Current ability:
Height: 6'0"
weight: 78 kg
Wages: £60 p/w
Nationality:

Again, This player was signed as a rotation player for the box to box midfielder position which Mario Noto currently occupies. He's got pretty good stats and hopefully he can develop into an important first team player in the future.

Factfile
Age: 21
Position: M(C)
Current ability:
Height: 6'2"
weight: 82 kg
Wages: £50 p/w
Nationality:

Unlike the other signings, I believe that this player can compete with our current DR Mark Jones. He's on low wages and has got good general stats and hopefully he can do a decent job despite his old age.

Factfile
Age: 31
Position: D/WB(L)
Current ability:
Height: 5'10"
weight: 75 kg
Wages: £70 p/w
Nationality:
Did Arsenal's firendly against Boreham Wood tempt you to try this? Anyways, cool choice of team. Good luck :)
Some good signings, good luck for the season!
