Zimmermann gets a contract renewel

VFB Speldorf manager Zimmermann today signed a new one-year contract at his club, after the board was very pleased with his managerial over the season and how he handled the riot from the fans and now he can count on a hugh support from them!

Zimmermann said, that he is happy that the club offered him to extend their work together and that he is not done with this work here and is hoping to stay here for a long time to get this club a better reputation. Also will I try to get us into the DFB-Pokal and gain promotion to the Regionalliga in the near future, even though this will be a really hard task

End of Season Review

The first Season seemed to be a up and down!
The first few weeks and months were really tough, as we hadn't performed on a level, which we wanted and we really struggelt to keep up with the Top10 and faced some serious relegation problems.
After 3 or 4 Months, we changed one or two things and from then on we rised in the table and our performances stepped on a completly different level!
The last 8 games really costs us an awesome place in the table, we fought for the 4th place in mid-february and then our performances went back to were we started and we only got 4 points out of the last 8 games, so it was 4 out of 24!
That was not enough and we dropped down to the 14th place right before the last game and it didn't look like we could achieve my personal goal the 10th place!
And then there was our last game and we did it and claimed the 9th place.

Fixtures

The last game of the Season was a win for us and our fans, who really supported us this year, they deserved it!

Niederrheinliga

9th Place, loads of places before the boards goals which was a mid-table position. We achieved what I thought we were capable of, but we could've gone even higher up in the table, if we were on our top level the whole Season!
I guess we could've challenged for the one Playoff-spot, but we had a bad start to the Season, were we had given away many points. At the end of the Season it was the same, we gave away loads of points in the last 2 1/2 months.

Player of the Season

Miles Adeoye

Miles was outstanding this Season. He scored loads of goals and assisted on loads of them. He played in 36 of 38 games and scored 15 times and assisted 9 times. That means in two out of three games he assisted or scored for our team, a real keyplayer!
Hopefully I can convince him to stay as he seems to claim for more!

Severel Teams looking to sign Zimmermann

VFB Speldorf Manager Zimmermann just signed a new One-Year Contract at his club, despite that other Managers seems to want to sign him for their team!

Last Years Niederrheinliga-winnerWuppertaler SV, TV Jahn Hiesfeld and Schwarz-Weiß Essen are looking to sign Zimmermann for the upcoming Season, to gain Promotion!
Zimmermann just said a few days ago, that he wants to "gain a place in the Top6 with Speldorf and won't say no to the Playoff-spot!
Now that he has the chance to gain that with the 3 Top-favourites for the upcoming Season.

Fan Day in Speldorf

A fan day was been made at VFB Speldorf and a public viewing at the FIFA World Cups final between Canada and France!

At the fan day attendet loads of fans and some potential sponsors!
Also there were some other clubs Chairmans to talk to Zimmermann about a possible move to another club. The Hiesfeld ans SW Essen Chairman have been seen by some regional press reporters and we guess they weren't their because of the delicious BBQ!

Some fans otherwise made perfectly clear that they want Zimmermann as their Manager and made a very hugh banner for him!

Canada are the FIFA World Cup Champions!

Canada won the World Cup after Penalties against France and absolutely stunned the Footballworld! No one, not even the Canadian player ever thought that this was possible and the Bookmakers had Canada as the biggest outsiders on their lists, but they came up against the odds!

Miles Adeoye and Jean-Claude Nanevie leave Speldorf

Two Speldorf players leave the team, to look for better clubs! Portsmouth and Bournemouth seem to be interested in the players!
Speldorf Manager Zimmermann is disappointed and thinks that his teams chance to fight for the Playoffspot has now been destroyes, as the two Players were a key part of his plans and squad!

Zimmermann said that "I'm will now be looking for other talents to bring into the squad. We also need to step up a little bit and raise our reputation in order to keep players like Miles and JC. I wish both of them loads of luck and success in their new clubs and they're always welcomed here in Speldorf, as it is their home!

Fans disappointed with Speldorf players

Some Speldorf fans destroyed Adeoyes' car. Miles Adeoye announced his intention to leave VFB Speldorf to sign at a English club. The fans seem to be angered with the former Speldorf player.

Niederrheinliga about to Start!

This weekend the Niederrheinliga kicks off and it is going to be a hard fight for the first spots. Wuppertal, SW Essen, Baumberg, RW Essen II, Duisburg II and of course last years Champions TV Jahn Hiesfeld want to gain Promotion or at least the Playoff-spot.
Some Insiders say that VFB Speldorf could be a outsider to gain that one Playoff-spot, after their Pre-Season. The bookmakers surely see Speldorf as an outsider and think they will get a mid-table place, if they perform permanent on their top level

In addition to that Zimmermann (Speldorf Manager) made perfectly clear that no club needs to contact him, as he is unwillingly to leave Speldorf, as he wants to build the team and make it better and better!
He doesn't want to leave "as long as MSV Duisburg and RW Essen have a better Reputation than we have! And we won't achieve that in the next Season or two!"

Pre-Season Update

In the first games you could really see, that we need to find ourselves, as almost the whole team had left, except for our two centrel defenders and a few players had been added to the squad from the youth team and on a free!
The matches against former 2.Bundesliga clubs TUS Koblenz and Rot-Weiß Ahlen were really nice for our fans and we won against Ahlen in a fancy way!
In the last two games the team really played like a title contender! And that is what we will aim for in the next two or three years!

The Squad

We have some promising young talents in our squad like Florian Lense or Mike Rakowski, whom both were signed up for the U19 squad, but got promoted right away after their Pre-Season performances.
Former Germany u21 international Semih Zorlu is the Captain of the Squad and former Speldorf player who signed again at his home club, Andre Ujma is the vice-captain.
Two players have a double job at the club! Goalkeeper Marko Kirchhoff, 36, is my new Assistant Manager and veteran Striker Pierre Bendig, also 36, is a part of the coaching team.

August Update

Fixtures

Two Favourites in the first month, a really hard start into the Season! We fought a epic battle against SW Essen in the opening league game and this game might be the best of the season, a game where no one thought about defence! The other favourite is MSV Duisburg II and we send them home in a way no one would ever had expectet it, a 3:0 against our big neighbour!

Niederrheinliga

4th place, this Season we start right there, where we wanna end the Season! We don't have to claim from the bottom of the table this Season, maybe this could kickstart our campaign!
And the table looks like last year Wuppertal is dominating and Hiesfeld are right behind them, just like last Season!
Surprisingly FC Kray and SW Essen already lost the first spots out of sight and are at the bottom of the table (Essen 15th, Kray 17th).

September Update

Fixtures

It should've been a month only with wins, but we weren't good enough in front of the goal, this is a thing which is really need to improve in order to create a succesful Season.
After the 3:0 against MSV Duisburg last month, we won against the other big rival from our neighbourhood Rot Weiß Essen with a clean sheet (2:0)! That might boost our fan numbers and hopefully the attendance will increase!

Niederrheinliga

We show that we mean business this Year! Awesome display for now, dispite the hugh amount of good teams, we are fighting for the Top-Spots! Only Wuppertal look like they will dominate this years campaign!

October Update

Fixtures

Only 3 matches this month and we made the best out of it! 9 Points! Awesome display from the team and a very important win against last years Champion TV Jahn Hiesfeld! It only gets better and now I need to make sure, that we keep our feet on the ground!

Niederrheinliga

3rd place and a match less than the 1st, 2nd and 4th placed team! Hopefully we win that one match to close up to Wuppertal and RW Essen II and we would be 6 points clear to the next team, but it is not even a third of the season behind us and we need to keep up that level!

November Update

Fixtures

You could call it a good month, but I won't! We didn't win at the fan day against Rheden, a team which we should beat easily! So we did fail to attract new fans, almost 400 people had been there, normaly we only have about 240!
Also we lost against Wuppertal, the league leader and they now are totally out of sight for us!

Niederrheinliga

7 points away now and one match more to come, in comparison to Wuppertal! We look solid right now. We want to ensure that we remain in that position, of course that will be hard and I had the goal to be in the Top6, but we can aim for more! Also the board is very happy, as they aimed for a Top10 place and we seem to get that easily!

Zimmermann declines every Job Interview!

VFB Speldorf Manager Zimmermann is doing an awesome Job, by leading VFB Speldorf into the Playoff-spot area! This attracts other teams into offering him the Managerial job.

Zimmermann confirmed, that almost 20 Job interviews had been offered! Most of the teams are from the 5th tier, but one or two are from 4th tier teams, like SG Wattenscheid and former 1.Bundesliga team TSV Alemania Aachen.
Zimmermann said that their interest in signing me is awesome and says a lot about the job I'm doing here, but I won't go! I've got a plan with Speldorf and I'm unwilling to leave as long as the Speldorf board and fans want me here!

End of the Year Review

Over half of the Season is behind us and we're doing great at the moment! I'm very happy about our game performances and that we already have almost as many points as in the whole last Season, which we finished in the Top10!
Our talents are doing very good so far and we are looking to even increase this over the next Seasons!

Fixtures

We won every game! Our form didn't drop, after the loss against Wuppertal last month hadn't break our moral do fight them for the League Title!

Niederrheinliga

This year there are only 36 games, 2 less in comparison to last year! And we achieved 46 Points out of 20 Games! Last year we had 49 Points out of 38 Games.
We really need to step up our Goals and I would be dissapointed if we didn't finish within the Top3 Teams at the end of the Season!

Player of the Year!

Florian Lense

Florian put in Performances of the highest Standart on the left wing! He played 15 games, scored 7 times and assisted 4 times!

January Update

Fixtures

A very bad month for us and we didn't expect that coming! 4 points out of 5 games is clearly not enough for us to battle for the Top3!
Hopefully this form will end as soon as possible.

Niederrheinliga

11 Games to go and we've lost our good position and the 4th place is only 1 point behind us! That had been 8 points a month ago! I don't know what to say, but we need to make sure that we claim one of the Top3 spots!

February Update

Fixtures

We still have lost our form from the first half of the Season and I'm very disappointed that the team seem to do the exact same thing like last Season! Having a faboulus first half of the Season and the second half is a pure nightmare!

Niederrheinliga

We seem to lose sight to the second placed team. We had that place very secure two months ago and now we struggle to keep up with the best teams of the league!
At least the 5th placed team is 10 points away!
