September Story Of The Month
For the penultimate Story of the Month competition for the FM14 season, the total number of stories has magnificently dropped as we all eagerly await Football Manager 15's release. However, a few brave souls have continued writing stories-- no, not just writing, but beautifully crafting their tales of management for us all to enjoy. Our judges have graciously nominated six stories for us to choose which is September's Story of the Month. Here are the judges for the month, with Feliks kindly stepping in to fill a few absences:
- Me (Neal)
- Feliks
- Justice
- Walter
And, the moment you've all been waiting for. The nominated stories are (there is a sixth story because technically Feliks had two stories nominated):
Feliks's Doing It Down Under! v2.0
Neal's Francesco Totti - Il Gladiatore di Roma
TodayAtTomorrow's Liverpool FC: Winning With Kids
Justice's Ryan Ferguson - The Path to Power
Feliks and Griffo's Derby Della Madonnina
tbendis' [FM13]The Adriatic Adventure [Hajduk Split]

I'm very surprised, but very grateful, that I was nominated. My vote is undecided yet; its between tbendis and Feliks who both deserve a victory. I'll have to give this some serious thought....
My vote isn't based on preference, and I don't only take into account the story writing and graphics themselves as the actual idea that made them process the will to write it, and for me the network derby story was an amazing idea, which was then wrote into perfection almost.
There are other great stories, and it was hard to choose, but I think the derby story takes it for me.
this is a no contest for me, all the stories are great but tbendis's effort is awesome and amazing

Wow! I'm honoured to be nominated, but timmy has to get my vote: one of the best stories on the site, consistently

Thank you
Thank you one and all for making my story into what it is. An especially notable SOTM nomination that, as always, is a pleasant surprise. There were many, many times when I was concerned that I didn't have the audience, that I didn't have the readership, that I didn't have the time, or the interest, in making this story into what it once was, and what it deserves to be. As long, and as difficult updates are to read, they are difficult to write, and receiving recognition for my efforts in bringing that plucky Croatian club to the world stage... it really means a lot to me.
So thank you, those who read my story, and those who pretend to have done it; like so many people have pretended that they've seen the Wire. It is a pleasure and a delight in writing for you all.
With reference to my earlier comment, I have made a decision. It is tbendis who earns my vote this month, although it was a tough call to make.
It's a nice way to close out my wondrous journey with Roma to have the story nominated just after it has ended. My vote has to go to tbendis of course, though, with his amazing streak of updates, all of them wonderfully written.
Meanwhile, I'm sitting here, wondering which one of my roommates reads this, since someone already voted from my IP address. No idea who, no idea for whom...
