After Aston Villa embarrassing 8-1 aggregate defeat against Chelsea, they launch straight back into the Premier League this Saturday Lunchtime against, yes you guessed it Chelsea. The London side are top of the pile with 56 points and what seems to be a game where they have figured out the Midlanders are seem to be failing to captalise on last season's good form.
Aston Villa do have some new signings available this weekend though in Callum Chambers, James Ward-Prowse and Jordan Rhodes. They should all bring a certain quality to a Villa side already oozing with talent but how can they reverse there fortunes against the current champions?
Well they need to defend a lot more solidly than they did in the Capital One Cup Semi Final and if that means maybe going to a three at the back in Caulker, Stones and Sule then McGrath, who prides himself on his defending should do that. I also think that a return to the side in warrented for Delph, Peruzzi and McCarthy. I think you need your most consistent players in the team and although playing peruzzi would mean new signing Chambers misses out, then that is what McGrath should do.

All eyes on new signing Jordan Rhodes this weekend
Obviously with Salomon Rondon nip and tuck for the Chalsea match, all eyes will no doubt be on Jordan Rhodes. The Scottish striker comes in alongside the likes of Sturridge and Sterling, along with Rondon has shown he can score in the Championship and in two seasons with Forest, scored 20 times but is yet to really show his prowess on the big stage, so when McGrath shelled out a lot of money to sign him he now
has to repay the faith shown in him and lets face it, if you can not score with such creative players that Villa have then you really are not a very good striker.
Villa will give Chelsea a great game but we expect Chelsea to emerge victorious.
