West Ham - Europe Awaits!

Hey lads, I am doing a story with West Ham and heres why. They have made some really great signings over the summer and they're doing really well. My target is to get them into the Europa League and then win it. If I make very good progress and generally enjoy the save I will also hope to get into the top four, however that will be very challenging. I think West Ham can be very interesting especially with some additions to the squad in the future.

About Me:
I used to have an account on here but I forgot the password and username. I love reading stories so I thought to make one of my own, I wanted to make it interesting and I think being a mid-table team is different to being the 'big teams'. I hope everyone enjoys. I will try to get the right level of detail I just ask for any feedback to improve the quality of this.

Budget:
Transfer: £3M
Wage: 900k (£700 remaining)

Board Requests: Play Attacking Football, Develop Players Using the Youth System
Board & Team Targets: Respectable Table Position
Personal Target: Depening how well the first season goes, I will hope to finish in the top half of the table.

Squad:

Final Notes:
I hope readers enjoy this as much as I do. I'm not sure how long my save will last but my target is to win the Europa League and once that is achieved, I will see how much I am enjoying it. I will be updating with tactics and transfers in my next update. After pre seasons I will be doing monthly reports. Hope you enjoy! :)
Good luck!

Tactics & Transfer Ideas

Tactics:
I have two tactics as you can see, I will probably add a third one during the season or at the end. I like to have three, makes the team less predictable. So, the two current formations, I have one attacking which I will use at home and against much weaker sides. The other is for when I play against the bigger teams or very threatening teams away. During pre season I may alter them if something isn't working.

Attacking Tactic:

Defensive Tactic:

Transfers
So far on this FM2015, I have only been Barca and a conference team. Therefore, I don't know this years transfer market all that well and who to get for a bargain. With £3M, that's what I am looking for. I won't be letting anyone leave until January and to be honest, West Ham made many signings in real life so maybe further additions aren't needed yet.

My next update will be my pre-season results. There are no difficult teams to face so I hope for a lot of goals! :D

Thanks! :D
The Hammers have been one of the outstanding teams so far this season! It will be interesting to see if you can emulate that. Good luck.

Thanks and that's the plan! :D

Pre-Season

Results:
West Ham Under 21's (H) 1-1 - Very worrying to not beat the youth team! However, we dominated the game but not enough shots were on target. And their goal was their only shot on target and it was a strike from 20 yards out.
Goals: Zarate
MOTM: Tomkins
Lechia (A) 1-2 - My first win! Being away and this game came only three days after the game against the kids, the squad was very tired. We played decent and deserved the win. This game also caused more injuries are added to the squad, Noble is out for a month and Reid is about a week.
Goals: Valencia, Sakho
MOTM: Valencia
Greuther Furth (H) 2-1 - The team is full of energy now after a week break. Just a few injuries that are disrupting the pre-season experiments. This energy gave us a decent result and some great performances. Once again another injury, this time to Vaz Te who will be out for a few weeks.
Goals: Morrision, Sakho
MOTM: Morrison
Preston (A) 0-1 - This is the toughest opponent I face being away so I thought to try my defensive tactic this game. We dominated the game from start to finish with about 60% possession, but it took us until the 77th minute to score and that was the only goal.
Goals: Amalfitano
MOTM: Amalfitano
Boreham Wood (A) 2-5 - Back to the usual formation, playing attacking football. A lot of goals in this game which is great. Even though conceding two goals to a team like Boreham Wood is concerning. But with five goals I wont complain too much.
Goals: Tomkins, Collins, Song, Valencia, Morrison
MOTM: Collins
Vit. Gulmaraes (H) 3-0 - A great result to end the pre-season. I am most happy about keeping a clean sheet, the first and only one of pre-season.
Goals: Reid, Zarate, Sakho
MOTM: Zarate

Player of Pre-Season

Final thoughts before season starts:
Being undefeated in the pre-season is great however, the amount of goals I conceded against weak teams is not. Hopefully that final game with no goals conceded is a sign of defending imporving within the team. Many players played well we scored quite a few goals. We have a difficult start with the season startin away to Everton. Although I would love to get off to a good start!

August - 2014

Results:

Everton (A) 1-1 - I wanted to get a result in my first game so I played my strongest side possible. We took the lead after just seven minutes but then lost it just four minutes later. And that was it for goals, we didn't play great, certainly didn't deserve to win the game. Getting a point against Everton is always good, especially away from home!
Goals: Cresswell
MOTM: Cresswell
Chelsea (H) 1-2 - We kept Chelsea at bay until the 65th minute but they had to score eventually and they added another just five minutes later. Sakho who come on as a sub, got a late 87th minute goal but it was too late and we didn't get anything out of the game. To make matters worse, Zarate picked up an injury and is out for about two months.
Goals: Sakho
MOTM: Amalfitano
Sheffield Wednesday (A) (League Cup Second Round) 2-2 (AET) (2-4 P) - I played a weakened side to rest some key players although with the amount of injuries I have I didn't have too many options. Despite needing penalties to win the game, it was a good performance. We was a goal down at half time, in the second half we dominated and played the best we have so far but only one goal occured. In extra time the team was tired, we scored and conceded.
Goals: Vaz Te, Sakho
MOTM: Morrison
Third Round Draw: West Brom (H)
Arsenal (A) 4-1 - We didn't play very well and being goals down at half time I knew there was an unlikely chance to get anything out the game. They scored another however, Cole got us a late consolation goal. Morrison had a great game but is now out for a few weeks. Another injury!
Goals: Cole
MOTM: Morrison

Month Review:
To be honest this hasn't been a great start. To be fair, I have had very tough opponents. One positive to look at would be getting to the next round in the League cup. Another positive would is it seems I have a easier set of fixtures next month, starting with Aston Villa at home.

Player of the Month: Ravel Morrision
He has been the stand out player by far. Although he hasn't scored, he has set up a few. Its a massive shame that he is now out injured.

Good update :) I would try and get a neat structure next time though :P

Try and put the headings in some of bb codes like [,h1,], [,h2,], [,h3,] or [,h4,] (wihout the commas). This makes it look more professional :) Also I like to look at screenshots myself but that's personal preference.

Here's a couple of good sources and good reads:

Thanks a lot mate I will certainly try to improve with my next update. :)

September - 2014

Results:

Aston Villa (H) 2-0 - During the international break, Demel, Jenkinson and Jarvis returned from injury. Only Carroll and Zarate are out now for a while. I really wanted to win this game and we did! The team played well and we deserved to win the game. I hope this is a start to a good run. Diego Poyet got injured and will be out for about two weeks. The injuries keep on coming!
Goals: Downing (2)
MOTM: Downing
Stoke (A) 1-3 - A good solid performance and win. We never looked like loosing the game and we held the high performance level until the end. Valencia did have to go off the pitch which was a massive worry however he is not injured.
Goals: Valencia, Sakho (2)
MOTM: Sakho
West Brom (H) (League Cup Third One) 1-2 - I used the players that have been injured now such as Jenkinson and Jarvis who made the bench. Other players featured that haven't been given a chance yet. After Reid getting sent off in just the 23rd minute I knew it would be a difficult game. We got a penalty but in the second half they scored twice to win the game. The red card cost us the game.
Goals: Collins (Penalty)
MOTM: Morrison
Crystal Palace (H) 2-2 - Jarvis made his first start and I hoped he would impress. Furthermore, Reid missed the game due to suspension. Despite taking the lead after three minutes we were 2-1 down at half time. Jarvis didn't do too well and he came off. Both Noble and Tomkins had to go off injured, which left me with a nervy ending to the game but it stayed 2-2 and we got a point out of the game. Noble is fine however Tomkins is out for the next five months, this is really a massive blow.
Goals: Sakho (2)
MOTM: Sakho

Month Review
I feel like this has been a good month for us with decent results. Its certainly been better than the first month! I did want to do better in the cup but I got a bit unlucky with the red card. I'll have to look at the positive that I can focus more on the League and the F.A. Cup once it arises.

Player of the Month:
Diafra Sakho
Hes scored four goals in the three league games, its always great when your main striker is scoring. I don't have much backup while Zarate is out and Cole is far from great.

October - 2014

Results:

Southampton (A) 1-2 - Zarate is back from an injury and made the bench. Demel also made his first start of the season. Southampton aren't doing very well so I wanted a win. We played well and deserved the win. Zarate played the final ten minutes of the game, great that he's back.
Goals: Collins (2, one being a penalty)
MOTM: Collins
Swansea (H) 1-3 - There was an international break before this game, so I hoped to have a few players on full fitness once this game came. Swansea are on great form and they showed us that by thrashing us. We took the lead through an own goal but was losing once half time ended. They ended the game once they got their third goal. We were outplayed.
Goals: Own Goal
MOTM: Kouyate
Tottenham (A) 0-1 - Kouyate got sent off just before the half time whistle, which meant we had another 45 minutes to go but with just ten men. We were getting dominated in the whole of the second half however we hadn't conceded. But they then got a penalty in the 86th minute, bit unlucky but we didn't deserve anything out of the game.
Goals: None
MOTM: Morrison

Month Review
This wasn't a great month. We started well but to get no points from our next two games aren't good enough. Need to improve next month if we want to get into the Europa League places. Seems like we are having problems scoring goals, this is always a massive problem, need an attacking player to come into form. Perhaps Jarvis and Zarate will now they are back from injury.

Player of the Month:
James Collins
He scored the only goals this month, and won us the Southampton game which was our only win.

I would take on board the advice you were given; there is a lot of text bunched up together and it really does need to be separated with some of the features available to you.
