PSV Leave It Late To Seal Title
PSV Players and Mascots Celebrate with the fans at full time
PSV left it late in the season to seal the league title which many believed had been there for the taking since January. However, when the critical win came in the final game against Go Ahead, it was delivered with a style and substance befitting of the champions elect. But the road through the final months of the season was not a smooth one for Boeren.

PSV's month was not the most consistent, but they dug in, to secure the league title in style, edging past Schalke in the Europa League quarter-finals in the process. With one trophy already sealed, can this PSV side overcome Lille in the Europa League finals? Only time will tell, but manager Tony Young has already endeared himself to the fans at Phillips Stadium.
Luuk De Jong was the standout man throughout the season, scoring 19 league goals, helping his team to a league high of 90 goals across the season. He also chipped in with 9 assists, racking up 4 man of the match awards
Speaking to the media after the match, winger Memphis Depay was complimentary of his manager, saying
"We've had a good season, and Tony has brought out a side of the players that not all of us knew we were capable of. We've always been quite an attacking side, but the defensive discipline he's introduced has given us the dimension we were lacking in previous seasons. To help the club to our first title in 7 years is a massive honour, and Tony deserves a lot of credit for it. We've had ups and downs as a squad, and there had to be a lot of rotation to keep everybody happy, but he handled it well, and his man-management is probably some of the best i've experienced. I'm looking forward to continuing in Europe, and building the squad for next season."

Gerrard has had some golden moments at Liverpool, including a Champions League win
Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard is causing some concern to Liverpool fans, as he stalls talks on a new contract at Anfield. The 34-year old's current deal expires in June, but as yet he has not put pen to paper to extend his 19 year stay at the club.
In 505 league appearances for The Reds, Gerrard has scored 111 goals, including the first of Liverpool's incredible comeback in 2005 when they came from 3-0 down to triumph over AC Milan in Istanbul. Despite his title-race heartbreak last season, Gerrard is optimistic about Liverpool's future, but doesn't look like he is going to be a part of it.
With only weeks to go on his new deal, where will Gerrard play next season?
