Sun Journalist: Italian striker (and amateur Johnny Depp lookalike), Pablo Dani Osvaldo has finally parted ways with Southampton, joining Inter Milan on a season long loan. The player failed to attract any transfer bids sizeable enough for Southampton to agree to. Subsequently, he has been loaned out due to the clubs rule of not fielding foreign players at any level. Osvaldo certainly has talent, but the lack of interest could possibly be due to him never being far from controversy. Last season, he was loaned to Juventus after instigating a training ground fight with José Fonte.

Guardian Journalist: After failing to agree terms on his Liverpool contract, Southampton have unveiled England wonderkid Raheem Sterling as their final signing of the summer for a massive fee which could eventually rise to 50M pounds after add-ons. Transfer records have tumbled as a result of the deal; Sterling is now Southampton’s most expensive player, surpassing Saido Berahino by 34M, the most expensive teenager ever, surpassing Wayne Rooney’s move to United by 24M, and the most expensive English player in history, surpassing Andy Carroll’s move to Liverpool by 15M. The exact figures of the deal have not been disclosed, however, it is believed Liverpool received 35M up-front for the deal, which is likely to be invested into the first team squad in the last 10 days of the window, on top of whatever is left over from the sale of Luis Suárez to Barcelona for 75M pounds. Rumours suggest Sterling could be earning a wage in the region of 100K per week at the club, with a sizeable bonus should the team qualify for the Champions League. For such a large fee, Southampton will pray the investment pays off and Sterling fulfils his world class potential.

Wow, never saw that one coming! I am actually really surprised that Liverpool let Sterling go, I mean if he does fulfill his potential then he is going to be worth at least double that!

@RD17: Good question. Some yes, some no. The one's who moved over summer, obviously yes. I'll admit, Sterling was an edited transfer. I saw a lot of people picking him up for between 40-50M, so I thought that was fair, provided I splash the cash due to Southampton's lower reputation. But I can promise all the finances between clubs is 100% correct, which took 3 days of editing and research to get right. If it wasn't, I'd consider that cheating. Some would consider what I've done cheating, I consider it creative license.
