As the suns sets on the streets of Milan, Bayern and PSG fans converge on the San Siro

FC Bayern Starting Line Up:
GK: Neuer RB: Lahm CB: Boateng CB: Dante LB: Alaba CDM: Xavi Alonso CM: Javi Martínez CM: Schweinsteiger RW: Müller LW: Robben ST: Lewandowski

Paris Saint-Germain Starting Line Up:
GK: Begovi? RB: Carvajal CB: Thiago Silva CB: David Luiz LB: Dinge CM: Matuidi CM: Bradley CM: Cabaye RW: Gervinho LW: Depay ST: Ibrahimovic

FC Bayern 0-1 PSG
Thiago Silva (16)

Depay finds space on the left wing, fires in a ball towards the head of Ibrahimovic! Jérôme Boateng heads the ball out for a throw in...David Luiz comes across to take the throw. Thiago Silva begins to make his way into the box, Luiz throws the ball long into the penalty area, Thiago Silva rises highest! Goal! PSG take the lead as Silva heads the ball past Begovi?!

FC Bayern 0-1 PSG
Michael Bradley (31)

Lahm plays the ball to Schweinsteiger on half way, the German turns with his first touch, and Bradley slides in late, he's already been booked. Referee Mazzoleni is reaching for his pocket, and he's shown the second yellow. Bradley is off after just half an hour.

FC Bayern 1-1 PSG
Arjen Robben (42)

Alonso receives the ball in the centre circle, plays a ball forward to Schweinsteger. Schweinsteger goes to shoot from the edge of the area! And he's been brought down by Carvajal...Robben places the ball, the other Bayern players move away. Robben! Goal! A perfectly executed freekick into the top corner! The goalkeeper had no chance!

FC Bayern 1-1 PSG
After extra time

Robben steps up first. Scores! The other goalscorer, Thiago Silva is next...he scores! Xavi Alonso looks confident...he sends Begovi? the wrong way. Pastore stares the ball down...scores into the bottom right corner with Neuer only inches away. Javi Martínez walks up...he hammers it into the top corner. Gervinho begins his run...he hits the crossbar and the ball goes flying into the crowd! Alaba is next to make the advantage count, he scores! Incredibly! Asmir Begovi? is walking to the spot! It's keeper against keeper. He scores, with Neuer only just missing it once again! Who will be the player to take the winning kick for Bayern? It looks as if Franck Ribéry is walking up. The man that started on the bench! He waits for the whistle...the hits the ball...Goal! Straight into the top corner. Bayern have won the Champions League on penaltys!

Hodgson Sacked!

The axe finally falls on Hodgson

Roy Hodgson has been sacked as England manager following his team’s elimination at the UEFA European Championship in the round of 16 against Switzerland after 4 years of service. The latest disappointment for the national team comes on the back of the embarrassing elimination at the 2014 World Cup which saw England board the plan home without making it to the knockout round. Most pundits blame the lack of possession the England team had at both tournaments as the primary reason for his termination. The FA will now begin their search for a new national team manager, the rumoured names include Louis van Gaal, José Mourinho, Jürgen Klopp, and Gareth Southgate.
@Cappy13: Cheers mate. Really appreciate your comment
Might Gareth look at the England job???
good luck next season mate, cant wait for your champions league campaign
@Lippo: I cannot confirm, nor can I deny the rumours at the present time.

@The Motivated One: Cheers mate, me either. Going to be a massive step up. Thanks for your comment!

Lampard Breaks Giggs’ Premier League Record

A living legend: Lampard now has the most Premier League appearances ever

West Ham, Chelsea, and possibly soon-to-be Southampton legend: Frank Lampard, has surpassed Ryan Giggs’ Premier League appearance record this afternoon after coming off the bench against Everton in Southampton’s 3-1 away loss. In a touching moment, Lampard was met with a standing ovation from both the travelling Saint’s fans and the Toffee’s as he replaced Will Hughes in the 60th minute to record his 633rd Premier League appearance. In a career spanning 22 years, Lampard is showing no sign of slowing down as he played a vital role in helping Southampton secure their highest ever top flight points tally last season, and a new 1 year contract extension to keep him at St Mary’s expected in the near future. Perhaps the final laugh should go to a quietly pleased manager named Harry Redknapp, who famously predicted Lampard’s potential in 1996 by defending his young midfielder from a disgruntled Hammers fan. If there's one thing Harry knows, it's talent.
