Aimar is a great signing, but Subotic is also a massive loss
I think you should really keep Subotic at Borussia

Reus signs new deal

Marco Reus has today ended rumors that he will be leaving Der BvB by signing a new five year contract with an estimated salary of around £98,000 a week, Reus revealed the reasons behind him staying at Dortmund in this month's issue of popular football magazine FourFourTwo.

His manager Mathias Iconic was also interviewed in the same issue of the publication questioned on Reus, life at Dortmund and several other things.

Dortmund fans will be jumping for joy once they hear 'Rolls Reus' is staying on Dortmund
Timo Horn is a massive signing. Will you use him from the start??

Hey peoples, so it's 2015 in a few hours as I post this and I just thought I'd post this update on here as I haven't really thanked you peoples properly and I think you peoples are deserving it. I have been really suprised at how many views this story has gotten in such a short space of time, I am trying to update as much as I can and play the game as much as I can so you can have regular content to view on the story. As you may know I am juggling this story along with 'Lyonheart' and may be helping Bahroo with his story, I did a small thanks on my Lyon story and I am having so much fun using them. I am now closing in on 3,000 views on this story and I want to say thank you, from the bottom of my heart thank you for reading this story, for taking time to read my updates, for commenting and welcoming me to this site with open arms, you have no idea just how grateful I am for your continued suport and thanks on this and Lyonheart.

I also have some aims for this and future stories in 2015 and Football Manager 2016

.To be nominated for Story Of The Month
.To win story Of The Month
.To manage 100 posts
.To manage 200 posts
.To be nominated for Story Of The Year
.To win Story Of The Year

I realise that not all of these objectives may well be completed but to achieve these things I must be ambitious, just so you know you are the reason that these stories go on we wouldn't be able to write such brilliant content with writers such as 'Glenn T' 'No1VillaFAN' and 'Louis O' among others. Thank you for tanking the time to read this and happy new year to evryone at FM Scout.

Pre season results

Pre season was an enjoyable affair with some good results and even better performances, there have been some big devlopments in the first team especially in the striker position.

Pre season match 1: Atlas 3-0 Borussia Dortmund

Managers' thoughts: I made the foolish mistake of handing over the responsibility of managing this game to my assistant manager, Zeljko Buvac, and boy did I pay for it! As such I can't really give my opinion on this game.

Pre season match 2: SV Reis 1-3 Borussia Dortmund

Managers' thoughts: A much improved display, as despite the team lacking in match fitness we played very well to my tactics as we marched on to a 3-1 victory two goals in the opening eight minutes sealed the game in effect for us after a penalty from Milos Jojic and a header from Pierre-Emerick Aubamyeng. The scoring wasn't done there either as in the 85th minute as Oguzhan Aydogan tapped the ball into the net from a Tammo Harder free kick.

Pre season match 3: FK Austrian Wien 0-2 Borussia Dortmund

Managers' thoughts: A quite cagey performance in truth where there were little chances for either side with game being a midfield battle we did eventually find the net through a Tammo Harder header on twenty eight minutes and four minutes into the second half after a superb curling effort from Aubamyeng just inside the penalty area.

Pre season match 4: Neustrelitz 0-2 Borussia Dortmund

Managers' thoughts: After a brace from Harder on fourteen minutes the game quickly fizzled out, Harder's double was brilliant however showing he has all the makings of a Dortmund legend for the future. His first came after just six minutes after a long range shot from Pierre Emerick Aubamyeng stung the palms of Neustrelitz goalkeeper Daniel Bittner who could only parry the ball into the path of Tammo Harder who made no mistake side footing the ball into the net. Just eight minutes later after an over hit through ball by Aubamyeng rolled into the path of Daniel Bittner who dawdled on the ball giving hardworking Tammo Harder just enough time to smash the ball into the back of the Neustrelitz net. These goals pretty much killed off the game and I was very pleased to see that we effectively sealed the game so quickly.

Pre season match 5: Borussia Dortmund 2-0 Fiorentina

Managers' thoughts: The second best Pre season performance was in this match, the first goal was scored by Sebastian Kehl in the sixteenth minute after a cross by Lukas Piszczek was taken down beautifully by the defensive midfielder and walloped into the net. After much sparring we got another chance to score in the eight fourth minute when cross some shot from Piszczek hit Aleksandar Dragovic and as Micah Richards failed to clear Ivan Klasnic pounced to score a real poachers goal.(See I told you guys he could score)

Pre season match 6: Borussia Dortmund 3-0 AS Roma

Managers' thoughts: And our best performance of Pre season, (and result) all down to a brilliant hat-rick from Pierre Emerick Aubamyeng. The first came after just eight six seconds, the first corner was cleared to the halfway line by Sven Bender and Aubamyeng took it down beautifully and set of on a blistering run into the Roma half leaving Raja Nainggolan eating his dust as Ashley Cole (in no man's land) was trying to cover the shot (I think) then he turned, cut inside and pushed the ball through Nainggolan's legs and as Ashley Cole tried to close him down he fired an unstoppable shot past Lukas Skorupski into the net. His second came late in the first half after some beautiful passing football we worked the ball to Tammo Harder who squared the ball to the Gabonese striker who lashed it into the Roma net. His final goal came courtesy of the penalty spot, again we pushed the Italians back and after some pretty build up play Ashley Young threaded a exquisite through ball to 'PEA' whose left footed attempt was blocked by Morgan De Scantis. But as he ran to keep the ball in play he was hacked down by Kostas Manolas and the referee correctly gave a penalty, he took the shot calmly and into the top right corner it went beating De Scantis for shear pace and power on the shot.

Overall I think this Pre season has given me a lot to think about in terms of who do I play for the opening Bundesliga fixture against Bayer04 do I play, PEA, Ramos, Immobile or Klasnic? Immobile is hoping to shake off strained wrist injury and become match fit for the opening fixture before that though I must focus my effort on the first round of the German Cup against Speurtefrunde Siegen.

Player of Pre season

I could have easily picked Aubamyeng, Bender or Horn for this but I've decided to go for Tammo Harder as having impressed me so much having not played with the first team before I think he deserves it for how well he's gelled with Aubamyeng, he's scored goals and his general play has been excellent.

Suprise star

http://mackadrosu.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/Sebastian-Kehl-do-Borussia-Dortmund.jpg

Without a shadow of a doubt the suprise star of Pre season has been Sebastian Kehl, he was a sub player for the opening two games, but as Sven Bender was moved to Centre Back (after the departure of Neven Subotic) he exploded into life and his goal against Fiorentina was more than deserved. I really wasn't expecting the thirty four year old veteran to make the impact he did and he may well feature more than expected now.

A good start .. I hope they will continue the performance of the end of the season :))

Very interesting story so far! You've done some very interesting transfers, I am particularly looking forward to seeing how Horn will develop. Another good thing is that you managed to tie down Reus for a long time to come as he definately is THE key player of your current Dortmund side. Solid pre-season aswell, especially the wins over Fiorentina and Roma are pretty impressive, good luck with your competitive start as Dortmund manager!

Super Cup preview

http://www.thedrum.com/uploads/drum_basic_article/101702/main_images/bt_0.jpg

Mats Iconic is set to make his competitive managerial debut in this seasons' German Super Cup, with Dortmund being the current holders of the competition they will be determined to retain their title and earn some bragging rights for a while. However with many first teamers unavailable due to them being on holiday Der BvB will lack a full strength line up for the match at the Signal Iduna Park, with Mats Hummels, Roman Weidenfeller and Ciro Immobile all absent among others for the opening competitive fixture for Germany's two outstanding clubs. Although depleted Dortmund have been made favourites to win ahead of Bayern, Bayern's team news is little, other than which formation Guardiola opts with and whether he rotates his squad or not.

http://164.177.157.12/img/graphics/1255.jpg

Both managers were respectful toward each other in the Pre match press conferences with Guardiola praising his former teammates' professionalism and conduct 'When Mats was at Barca he was always the first one in and one of the last to leave, and I'm sure he will impose those disciplines at Dortmund, I do believe he has all the makings of a great manager.'

http://theoriginalwinger.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/Pep-Guardiola-BM.jpg

Iconic's response was respectful 'I am grateful toward Pep for his praise and kind words, it's always nice to receive praise but especially from someone as good as Pep.' This response did bring the media's attention to Iconic paying to much respect to Guardiola and asking whether it would hamper the team going into the game that Iconic lacks the competitive nature needed to succeed in football. 'I wouldn't say I lack a competitive personality at all it's just me taking praise from a fellow manager of course Pep is one of the top, top managers in football and I treasure his praise.' A dismissive response by Iconic who was also asked about his team selection, 'I am not going to give away any news regarding team selection and I don't plan to in the future either, I can tell you that Ciro (Immobile) will not feature he is injured and of course we won't have Mats (Hummels), Ilkay (Gundogan), Roman (Weidenfeller) or Marco (Reus) for the game as they are injured or still away on holiday.' 'I am confident that whoever I pick will give their all for the team and the fans to walk away with that trophy.'
