February Story of the Month

What a bittersweet post this. My final chance to announce to all of you the greatest story of the previous month, my last time posting a celebration of story-writing. There's no better month for this than February SOTM, the month of love, for love is the only emotion I could possibly use to convey my adoration of stories on this site and this competition as a whole. Anyway, *wipes away tear*, here we go...

Walter for A Venezuelan Adventure!!!

It was neck and neck the whole way through, but eventually Walter garnered 14 of the 43 votes, or 32.6% of the popular will. His James Bond story of the lower-leagues of Venezuela has captured all of our hearts, and it is wonderful to celebrate our South America lover's first ever Story of the Month title. A special mention to first time nominee Starlord, who finished with 13 votes, just 1 shy of the eventual winner.

New SOTM Head Judge

Seems like a bit of a double whammy for Walter this month, as not only will he be the reigning Story of the Month champion of February, starting in March he will be the new Story of the Month Head Judge! I have full faith that Walter will improve this role while continuing the traditions of those who came before. Thank you all!

Couldn't have said it any better myself. Well done Walt!
Great job Walt, fully deserved. For both story and position.

Thank you for whoever voted for me and the support I have received. It's been a while, but I've finally got my hands on this prize and I can't thank you all enough.

Two things: firstly, special mention to Starlord, who pushed it to the very, very end. He demonstrates that anybody can win this award regardless of their stature on the site, contrary to what some people believe, so congratulations to him.

Also, to Neal. A beloved member of this site, SOTM will not be the same without him... although hopefully better ;) He's always put a lot of time and effort into making this a fair, fun and enjoyable competition which adds a little spice to story writing and gets the best out of everyone.

Also Josh_MU as he's just a beautiful man.<3

Once again, thanks and congratulations to everyone nominated.

El Presidente B)
Congrats on winning SOTM Waltttttt! Also congrats on getting head judge, you've got a lot to live up to taking the reigns of Neal's old job ;)
Congrats to Walter for winning SotM, and thanks to everyone who voted for me, I really appreciate it.

March Story of the Month

March's Story of the Month saw a lot of new faces in the polls, which is promising for not only their stories but everyone else's, and it was also a breath of fresh air to see some new competition. Once again, I apologise for the slackness in getting the poll and this thing up, there were a few bumps on the way, but now I'm back for good and ready to announce the winner of this prestigious title for the first time.

In contrast to last month where it was a neck and neck race to the finish line, Glenn T ran out comfortable victor in March with 16 of the 37 votes, a whopping 43.2%! Glenn's story has displayed consistency and quality throughout March and he's a worthy winner of the award for this month. The question is, though, can he retain his title in April?
Well done Glenn, great work and fully deserved!
Didn't expect such a landslide win! Thank you to the judges who nominated me and the readers who voted. I really appreciate it :)
Congrats on the award Glenn, you're a very worthy winner!
