Ligue 1 table

One place better since last month. Now were on a second place in the league with three points up to the leader PSG, but we have one game in hand! I´m very happy with our league form and our second place.

Europa League Group A table

We´ve secured the first place in the group wich mean that we´ll play in the first knock out round next year. I´m very happy for that. It was one of the goals for me when the season began. We have one game left, against Slovan Bratislava. Then we have to wait for the draw.

Player of the Month: Alexandre Lacazette

The Player of the Month award of November goes to Alexandre Lacazette. Who else? Alex had another great month, scoring six goals in six matches. He leads the scoring league in both Ligue 1 and Europa League. I´m very happy for him, great player and great guy!

Henry's thoughts

http://i877.photobucket.com/albums/ab332/karam94/Thierry%20Henry%20FM14/9888.png
"A good month. Securing the first place in the Europa League group was very good and I´m very happy with our current place in Ligue 1. There was only one little dissappointment, the 1-1 draw against Saint Etienne. I think that we were unlucky, we deserved to win. But the team has done well this month and it´s a pleasure to manage them."

Next moth: December

Lyon will play five games in December. Three in Ligue 1 against Stade de Reims, Evian and Bordeaux. The last game in the Europa League group against Slovan Bratislava. And aswell they will enter Coupe de la Ligue with a game against Evian. Hopefully Lyon will end the year in a good way. Stay tuned to find out!

Europa League first knock out round draw

Today the draw of the first knock out round of Europa League was held. Olympique Lyon will face the italian team Torino. The matches will be played the 19th and the 26th of February.

Torino has had a good season this far. They qualified for the first knock out round through a second place in their group behind Saint Etienne and they are currently 5th placed in the italian Serie A. Their key players is the italian international Matteo Darmian and the former Juventus player Fabio Quagliarella.

There are many good teams in this years Europa League and there will be some really good and interesting matches in the first knock out round, like PSG vs Tottenham and Sevilla vs Inter. If Lyon qualify for the next round they will meet the winner in the games between Sevilla and Inter in the second knock out round.
