Henry's thoughts

"It´s was a tough and long moth. We played a total of eight matches. I´m pleased with our start of the league. The game away against Toulouse was a little dissappointing, but their striker Ben Yedder was great. I´m very happy that we qualified for Europa League. It will give us great matches and it will be a very good experience for many of our young players. Next moth will be shorter with just four matches. But some really tough ones, against PSG and Monaco. I hope that we´ll keep up our good form!"

Henry's thoughts

"It was an okay month. I´m pleased with the wins in Ligue 1, especially against Lorient. But the draw against Monaco and the loss against PSG was dissappointing. PSG is a very good team but I think that we had a good chance to win that game. The first game in Europa League was a win, nothing more. We did´nt play good, but it´s good to start EL with a win. Now on to the next month!"

Ligue 1 table

We´re currently at a third place in the table behind the giants PSG and the surprise team Bordeaux. Top three and qualify for Champions League is my goal for the season. But if we play good and get some wins next month I think that we can be at second place when November is over.

Europa League Group A table

After three of six matches played were on top of the table. We did´nt play that good in the two first matches. But the game against Standard Liege was great. If we win the two matches in November we´ll secure the first place in the table and a place in the first knock out round.

Player of the Month - Alexandre Lacazette

The Player of the Month award of October goes to the striker Alexandre Lacazette. Alexandre had a great month, scoring five goals in four matches. He´s the key player of Olympique Lyon. It´s not just the goals he scores. A good player gets attention of the opponents defenders and that gives more space to the other players.

Henry's thoughts

http://i877.photobucket.com/albums/ab332/karam94/Thierry%20Henry%20FM14/9888.png
"It was a mixed month. I´m very happy with the win against Standard Liege in Europa League and the comeback against Montpellier in Ligue 1. But I think that the draws against Lille and Slovan Bratislava was dissappointing. In both matches we played good but we did´nt score. We need to be more effective if we want to have a good season."

Next month: November

Next moth sees six matches for Lyon, two in Europa League and four in Ligue 1. Lyon can secure thier first place in our Europa League group if they win both matches. In Ligue 1 Lyon should have a good chance to win all four games if they play as good as we know that they can.
very nice updates, and some good results too!
Tallery: Thanks mate! :)
Going well so far. Loving the layout of the updates, good job on that. I have had some success with Lyon before, a very talented squad if directed correctly. Keep up the good work. I am enjoying this a lot :D
Very good start in both Ligue 1 and the Europa League, that result against Standard Liege is pretty huge, surprised that they aren't doing better in the group. Hopefully you can keep up your form in the League and show those money spending clubs what real football is about :)
wellsy1498: Yeah they have a good squad, with some players with great potential. Thanks mate! :)

TheOtherSpecialOne: Thanks! Yeah I was surprised too, the games against Bratislava and Liberec has been tougher. It will be tough to compete against PSG and Monaco, but I´ll try my best and hopefully our youth academy will produce some great players for the future!

Victor Valdés signs for Lyon

Olympique Lyonnais are delighted to announce that Victor Valdés has signed a contract with the club until the summer of 2018.

Valdés has been recovering from a injury and has been a free agent since leaving FC Barcelona this summer. Victor made a total of 528 matches for FC Barcelona. He has also played 21 matches for the national team of Spain.

He said following to olweb.fr: "I´m very happy to have found a new club. Lyon is a great club with big ambitions, just like me."

Victor is still not 100% after his injury. He will start training with the club from tomorrow. He´s expected to be back to the game against Bastia the 23rd November. But he will not be able to play in the group stage of Europa League because he is´nt registered.
Really good signing, especially for free. He's probably one of the best value players in the game and you've done well to get him.
Toon: I´m very happy with the signing, Lopes has´nt been good and Valdés gives the team great experience. Thanks for the comment! :)
