The El Clasico Transfer embargo

  • So now when Barca can't make transfers until 2016 , alot of people are suggesting that they will struggle immensly without the ability of strenghtening their squad through transfers for the next few years.
  • But, are they? With the famous La Masia academy being in such a solid state, producing phenomenal players through the years, I don't need to list them, you all know them. With players like Sergi Samper, a player with incredible potential, Adama Traore, who's shown what he can do the past weeks, Jean-Marie Dongou, Joan Román, one of the brightest of them, Alen Hálilovic and many others, it's pretty clear that they have a generation of players who can, if handled correctly, lift Barcelona to being what they were a few years ago. But can their fearce rivals, the machine that is Real Madrid at the moment, handle the same sort of challenge?
  • Now to the actual save..
  • I was playing around in the editor and thought ''how will two of the biggest clubs in football manage to take what alot of FM players do, taking clubs to glory only through their academy?
I've put both clubs under transfer embargo until 2024, just to be more interesting and i'm excited to see how it develops. Real have a pretty decent academy, producing players of a very high caliber through the years, but can they suprass Barcelona and La Masia in the battle to glory ?

  • I'm excited to let you see how this is going in the next few days, and yeah..
  • If you have any suggestions go ahead , and i hope you like the story.
  • Sounds like an interesting idea, I´ll be follwing! :)

Barcelona transfer ban appeal rejected by Court!

  • Shockingly Barcelona will not be allowed to sign any players until 2024 after their appeal against a transfer ban was dismissed by the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
  • The lenght of the ban is mainly because of major breaches of the rules regarding the protection of minors and the registration of minors attending football academies.

  • Speculation is starting to surround Blaugrana rivals Real Madrid after the club being inspected in the past few days, but that is still not official.

  • Madritistas in absolute shock, Madrid given the same ban as Barcelona!

  • Florentino Pérez in denial: ''This is absolutely unacceptable! We are being treated too harsh for something we aren't even guilty of!'', claims the Madrid president.

  • With this being already official, a very interesting turn of events has come to a turn, after Barcelona being highly considered of failing in the hunt for trophies in the next few years, now Madrid are faced with the same challenge.
  • More to come...

Starting the season, saving the talent

  • So the season started with Barca renewing contracts with youngsters Sergi Samper and Rafinha Alcántara, while also letting Adáma Traore on loan to Celta Vigo.
  • With promoting 16-year old Ayoub Abou, and 18-year old Bicho, they certainly took the more ''academy'' approach than Madrid.
  • On the other hand, Madrid renewed Marcelo's contract and did no promoting at all.

    Pre-season Starts!

  • With both teams with their full squads, none of them struggled with friendlies. Both of them lost one, but all in all it was pretty standart.
    Real Madrid

    Barcelona

  • Madrid, having a harder start of the season with games against Atletí for the Spanish Supercup, and Sevilla - for the European super cup, should have struggled, but they took their chances and won every single one of the games.

  • Madrid win both supercups!

European champions - Real Madrid, continue to dominate european and spanish football, with winning both the European Super Cup against Sevilla, and the Spanish Super Cup against Athletico Madrid even after the shocking news that they won't be able to sign players until 2024.
