You've had a few excellent updates on an equally excellent story for a fairly small league. You were unlucky against Real at Bernabeau, but, realistically, which of us isn't. The important thing is to secure both results against CSKA and hope for something against City and RM at home, because you should be able to qualify with "only" 10 points...

You never know... anything can happen in football.

In any case, I'd suggest, perhaps a more defensive counter-attacking approach towards City. A DM should go a long way towards forwards that like to track back and win the ball, so it becomes imperative to clear those balls out to the flanks and dash up the field.

All the best, continue the good work.

Second round match Group A, match between Serbian runner up Partizan Belgrade and England champion Manchester City. These two teams never played against before. It is well known that Manchester City has bought some Partizan players like Stevan Jovetic, Matija Nastasic and Stefan Savic. First duel between Manuel Pellegrini and MisterLister.

Even Partizan is playing on their home ground, Manchester City is big favorite. Aleksandar Kolarov will be unavailable due to suspension for Manchester City, Danko Lazovic for Partizan due to same problem.

Partizan has better chances in this match than in last match against Real Madrid but even if they win or draw it will be surprise. Manchester City's strongest player is Sergio Aguero and is expected that he scores, but on other side for Partizan many youngsters can burst and make a difference.

Potential squads:

Partizan: Lukac, Volkov, Ilic, Stankovic, Vulicevic, Alberto, Drincic, Marinkovic, Ilic, Skuletic, Ewandro

Man City: Hart, Zabaleta, Demichelis, Kompany, Sagna, Toure, Milner, Fernandinho, Silva, Aguero

Stay tuned to find out how will this match end.
nice update dude, just what your font colour doesnt drown the writing out, but still nicely done :)

Manchester City labor to draw! Partizan demonstrated potential!

FK Partizan 1-1 Manchester City

Edin Dzeko 63rd minute

Petar Skuletic 66th minute

Match full of entertainment with many shots on goal, 12 shots by Partizan and 20 by Manchester City. This draw was really unexpected as everyone expected an easy victory for Manchester City, when you look at club stature.

Again in this match Partizan showed how talented squad they have with fantastic match played by Petar Skuletic who is wanted by Juventus and Lazio. As he made difference tonight he was chosen as player of the match. This was his first goal of season for Partizan Belgrade. Manchester City will return sad after only draw that, said Pellegrini, is very disappointing when you look how much chances they had.

Match summary:

Start of match showed us that Manchester City came for victory as they had 6 shots in 10 minutes, when finally had 100% chance to score from white spot but Yaya Toure was not safe with his shots and Milan Lukac caught it really easily. In next 50 minutes there were a lot of shots from distance but no clear chance until 63rd minute when Edin Dzeko came behind Partizan defense and scored easily behind Lukac with safe shot in left corner. But their joy has finished after only 3 minutes as Petar Skuletic scored header from nearly penalty spot after Nenad Marinkovic crossed in. Next 25 minutes we saw much attack on Partizan goal but at the end everything finished with big surprise as Partizan 1, Manchester City 1

Next match Partizan plays pretty soon in Moscow against CSKA Moscow, Manchester City is going to Madrid to play Champions of Europe Real Madrid.
wonderful win! you might actually qualify :)

October Report: Unbeatable

So, October was like our last month victorius! We showed everyone our dominance in Serbian League. Our first match of the month was against our fierce rival in Eternal Derby. Good amount of possession and big amount of shots (20 shots for us 9 for them) secured us safe victory on Stadion FK Crvena Zvezda( Marakana, or from now Stadion Rajko Mitic). First goal scored by Danilo Pantic gave us big confidence to continue attacking style which proved me that it was not mistake as we scored another, Miroslav Vulicevic was goal scorer.

FK Red Star - FK Partizan
0-2

Danilo Pantic
Miroslav Vulicevic

Next stop was Cukaricki Stankom. We entered that match as big favorites and proved nothing else. Easy victory for us as Danko Lazovic and Ewandro scored goals but both got injuries so this match was in that shadow. Even though we lost them, the important thing is that we continued our win run in league.

FK Partizan - Cukaricki Stankom
2-0

Danko Lazovic
Ewandro
Danko Lazovic
Ewandro

After our new victory, next one is already expected as we were going to Kragujevac to play against Radnicki 1923. With big amount of shots and possession we secured victory thanks to Ognjen Vranjes, Vojislav Stankovic and Petar Grbic. With only 2500 fans we took our run on 10 games won in a row in league. We conceded really unlucky in 91st minute but it was not so important.

Radnicki 1923 - FK Partizan
1-3

Ognjen Vranjes
Vojislav Stankovic
Petar Grbic

And last one is cup against Donji Srem. Not much to say as we were dominant in all aspects of game and secured victory pretty easy and advanced to next round of cup.

FK Partizan - Donji Srem
3-0

Vojislav Stankovic
Nenad Marinkovic
Ivan Saponjic

Player of the month was Miroslav Vulicevic thanks to his goal and incredible effort in defence.

Next update will be match preview and after that match report of CSKA Moscow and Partizan. See you soon!
Delightful draw with City ! Awesome win over Zvezda and a discipline defence with a mixture of a great offensive work out there for the rest of the matches !!!!!!!

Interest in Partizan youngster Andrija Zivkovic raises!

One of Serbian's best young winger Andrija Zivkovic is tempted by large number of European Clubs. Most interesting for him is Juventus, Atletico Madrid, PSG and Roma, but there are teams such as Inter, Napoli.

We have contacted MisterLister, Partizan manager and he said to us that Andrija is not going to leave until he receives offer that he can't reject. That means that he might be leaving on winter break because there is a lot of speculations that Juventus is ready to pay as much as Partizan asks for, but Diego Simmeone was asked on press conference and said that he is delightful young player that he needs in Atletico.

Andrija Zivkovic's agent told us that it is really flattering to receive such interest for his player and that he deserves but manager MisterLister has to approve that transfer.

So even if there is big interest in him, we shall see what will happen in January. So stay tuned and find out will he join any of these clubs
He is quite the talent not surprised to see so many clubs interested, at least you should get some good money!

Match Preview: CSKA Moscow vs FK Partizan

Third round match of Group A which includes CSKA Moscow and Partizan Belgrade. These two clubs are interesting because they have some kind of brothers relationship, old Russian-Serbian friendship. They have played two times, both in UEFA Cup 2004/05 season in which CSKA Moscow win on aggregate 3-1.

These two clubs are very similar so we can't say who could win this match but both clubs will have motivation as this match can be important for going in the next round of European competitions. Partizan has 1 point followin their draw against Man City, CSKA Mosciw does not have any point.

This match will show us how important European competitions are important to these clubs. We could see a lot of passionate football from both sides and some attractive moves by players from both sides because Partizan has bright young talents, but CSKA Moscow has already proven players as Doumbia. Bookmakers have made CSKA Moscow for small favorites but anything can happen.

Potential squads:

CSKA Moscow: Akinfeev, Fernandes, Berezutskiy, Ignashevich, Schenikov, Natkho, Eremenko, Cauna, Milanov, Panchenko, Doumbia

FK Partizan: Lukac, Vulicevic, Vranjes, Stankovic, Volkov, Drincic, Alberto, Marinkovic, Pantic, Drazic, Skuletic

Soon will be an update from match so stay tuned and get ready for match report!

CSKA Moscow dominate play but loses match!

CSKA Moscow 2-3 FK Partizan

Petar Skuletic 3rd minute

Nenad Marinkovic 6th minute

Andrija Zivkovic 71st minute

Match which showed us two faces. One is the power that CSKA has in attack and second, pace that Partizan has on counter attacks. In this match CSKA had 25 shots, Partizan 14 shots. CSKA had strong percentage of possession(57%} but even with these strong statistic numbers they have managed to lost match.

CSKA and Partizan showed some attractive football and gave fans something to cheer for. Petar Skuletic, Nenad Marinkovic got fans scared but they managed to get one back soon with fabulous goal by Seydou Doumbia. With this win, Partizan are one step closer for continuing season in Europe.

Match summary:

Partizan started strongly scoring first goal in 3rd minute with safe shot in right corner. This agony for CSKA continued only 3 minutes later when Nenad Marinkovic scored strong goal in upper left corner and stunned CSKA. But 20 minutes later Seydou Doumbia scored beautiful goal from 20 yards. As second half began CSKa started strongly and scored an equalizer in 48 minute by Ahmed Musa. Next 25 minutes less chances on both side but in 71st minute Andrija Zivkovic proved why is he one of brightest talents Serbia has and finished it easy for 3-2. The match was over and final result was CSKA Moscow 2, FK Partizan 3

Next match will be replay in Belgrade. It will be important match for both clubs if they want to continue their campaign.
