FC Twente Charged for crowd trouble

Th Dutch FA have confirmed that they have looked into the incident and have charged FC Twente for not being making sure there where enough stewards on duty. They have been fined 30,000 Euros and have to play behind closed doors for their next two home games. Twente in a statement have said they have accepted the charge and will be working harder to ensure that a scene like this doesn't happen again.

After his sides 2-0 win at Heracles Capp commented on the charge to FC Twente. I feel it's right and the decision is correct I don't think having to play behind close doors was completely necessary but that is what the FA have chosen and we have to respect that.

The Miracle Man

It was not 2 and a bit months ago that Heereveen where being considered to be in the relegation scrap come the end of the season but under Alex Capp that looks like a thing in the past and are now looking at European qualification place.

They started off visiting (at the time) 1st placed AZ Alkmaar. The odds where stacked against them and rightly so, under Ronald De Boer they are on fire leading the scoring charts however AZ have a very leaky defense. Capp exploited this making his team play on the break soaking up the pressure. SCH scored 3 goals in the first half going in 3-0 up and having only 3 shots on target. Whereas for AZ they hadn't had one shot as of yet. AZ started to pile on the pressure and it finally helped as the scored in the 70th minute however it was merely a consolation as Heereveen went on and scored a fourth goal.

Followed next where two simply games for Heereveen were they ran out 2-0 winners at Heracles and 2-1 winners at GA Eagles. Not much happened in these games apart from an injury to back-up centre back Ciss who was out until January.

The last game of the month was a Cup match at home against RKC where they ran out 2-0 winners. It wasn't all brilliant for them at the start as Right back Estomba was sent off for a last man challenge with RKC on the break. It didn't worry Heereveen as they seemed to grow into the challenge playing like they where not missing a man. The goals came from brilliant play by SCH talisman Fetfatzidis who scored one and set up Striker Locadia with the big target man scoring and powerful header.

There are also rumors around this month that Free Agent Filip Djuricic could be coming back to the Abe Lenstra Stadion. With Capp not only commenting on the month gone by but also the transfer rumors going around. I felt the month went really well and we have now pushed on massively since when I joined. We look a completely different team and we are now looking to secure that European place available. Capp said to the clubs website in their monthly review. With regards to the transfer rumors I can confirm we are in talks with Djuricic and his people but whether we can come to a deal is another question. We are also looking to improve our defense as we are still light there and we are going to have to look at another goalkeeper as Nordfedlt is moving on at the end of the season. Whether we look for a keeper in January or in the summer that is still to be decided.

Filip Djuricic turned out 99 times for Heereveen before moving onto Benfica

Capp to look elsewhere after talks breakdown with Micah Richards

Reports are coming from Micah Richards camp that they have been unable to agree on a deal with SC Heereveen and are now in talks with other clubs. After a dispute between his wages and playing time talks stopped as Manager Alex Capp declared that there is no point in continuing.

Talks broke down after we couldn't agree on his wage packet. He also wanted to play in Europe but we could match that ambition as we are currently not there but we are working very hard to get there. Capp stated after his sides 3-2 win against Telster in the Dutch Cup Quarter Final. We are now looking at other possibilities as we still need a Defender. Both parties did agree however to meet again in the summer time if we where playing in Europe.

Heereveen are looking at Alan Hutton, Gregory Van Der Wiel and Daryl Janmaat as other options however due to SC Heereveen current financial status they may have to look at young upcoming players looking for a new club.
Excellent string of December results!!

AFC Ajax vs SC Heereveen for the Semi-final

AFC Ajax have been drawn at home to SC Heereveen with arguably Eredivise's most in-form team's going against each other for a place in the Dutch Cup final. Games between the two clubs have always been fiery affairs with the game early in the season finishing with 2 red cards and no less than 10 yellow cards. Frank de Boer was also sent to the stands in the game that finished 3-2 to Ajax.

The Form Table suggest this will be another great game between the two clubs with a fully packed crowd expected at the Amsterdam Arena. It is argued the winner of this game will go on to win the title and by the form of these two clubs those discussion could be correct. There will be a preview of this cup game however as Heereveen and Ajax meet in February at the Abe Lenstra Stadion where it will surely be an entertaining game for all.

Shakey after the Return

After an extended break SC Heereveen came back expecting to push on in the league and show what they are made of. They did show it but only just it has to be said.

SCH started their return with the visit of 4th place Feyenoord. A win for Heereveen and they would be level on points with their opponents of the day. Feyenoord started brightly playing quick possession football and putting their mark on the game. At half time it was nil-nil however Feyenoord fans would feel they should gone in with the lead after not being awarded the penalty after a blatant hand ball from Heereveen captain, Kone. He should count himself lucky after an injury to his partner in the centre midfield, Monetti. Capp must of said something at half time as Heereven came out a completely different side. With Koga down the left wing and Fetfatzidis down the right they started to tick and with the big man Locadia down the middle they started to threaten the Feyenoord goal. The breakthrough finally came from a smart bit of play down the left wing from Koga after taking on the Right back he found himself some space in the box where he took his chance and buried the ball into the bottom right hand corner of the net. Not much happened after that with Heereveen's defence cancelling out the attack of Feyenoord. SC Heereveen then hosted a much more simpler game where they ran out comfortable 2-0 winners not only with New signings Djuricic and Ntuli getting ther debuts but also getting the goals That won the game.

The last game of the month was a simple Cup game against Telstar however it was anything from that with Heereveen going in at the break losing 2-1. It wasn't until the 69th minute did Heereveen show any sign of a comeback with Attacking midfielder Djuricic coming on to replace Nhuli porved to be the change they required a he took the game by the scruff of the neck and t the Telstar defence on the back foot creating 4 chances in the first 5minutes of his introduction. Then with some brilliant link up play down the right wing with Fetfatzidis to play through Locadia who took his time and score a powerful strike past the Telstar keeper. The winner came from a goal that looked like they where on the training pitch. Filip Djuricic fund himself with a free kick around 25 yards out and with Fetfatzidis making the dummy run a gap opened the Telstar wall for Djuricic to angle his shot through this gap and to take the keeper by surprise wrong footing him as he watched the ball sail past his hands just out of reach.

We plaed good football but the result could of been better Capp stated We look a different side now with the signing of Djuricic and Nhuli. We also signed young defender Glenn Bijl who can play either at right back or centre back so he is a valuable addition to the club.
Well at least you won all three matches

Yeah I guess but the board weren't happy with the results

Evaluating the Transfer business

Hi there and welcome to our review of the transfer business by SC Heereveen in the January transfer window. We first look at who they have signed and then we will get on to who they have sold.

Who did they sign? Filip Djuricic, Nhlakanipho Ntuli and Glenn Bijl.

Filip Djuricic
The attacking midfielder can play anywhere along the three but is most prominent in the Central role behind the striker. He used to play for Heereveen and turned out 99 times for the club before a €6million move to Benfica in February 2013 happened. He played for Benfica 11 times before going on loan FSV Mainz 05 for the season of the 2014-2015. After not making an impact on loan he then flitted around Europe on various loans before his contract expired in the Summer of 2019. Not many clubs looked at the midfielder due to his inconsistent past but Manager Capp looked at him and after speaking to the player he signed with SCH. He has already appeared 2 times for the club and already looks to be a brilliant acquisition for the club making a team that have been brilliant in defense but seem to been lacking a bit attack and Djuricic looks to be that spark that is needed.

Nhlakanipho Ntuli
The young attacking midfielder who can play centrally or on the right wing has had a up and down start to his short career. Having been found by Barcelona he was contracted but after not impressing the coaches there his contract expired and he has been searching for a new club. Capp has taken a chance on the young midfielder who is a pacey player with two perfect feet. He has the potential to become a leading player and under the right guidance he could be.

Glenn Bijl
Bijl is another young player who can play right back or center back but is good with both feet. He is a solid defender who is more known for his defensive prowess than his attacking prowess. He will be seen as an understudy to first choice right back Omar Estomba but there will be enough chances for him to prove himself.

Who did they let go? Arie Pique, William, Saliou Ciss

SC Heereveen did have 4 players go out on loan but as they are coming back we will not include them. Arie Pique was their only player who they wanted to sell and they got £160K for a player who is not really destined for greatness. He wasn't given the play time he wanted and handed in a transfer request.

William and Ciss where both not needed sale but had to be done as if this was not done Heereveen could of been looking administration in the face. With these two sales they are now able to stay afloat for another year at least but if they can look at European football next season the money gained from that would help massively. Ciss will be missed more than William as the defender was 3rd choice CB. William was a very unpopular figure at Heereveen and after some very disappointing displays was moved on.

Pushing on For that spot

It was a straight forward month for SC Heereveen who played 5 games this month with only 1 team being in the top half of the table.

In what was dubbed the warm up to the Semi-Final an in-form Heereveen side hosted an in-form Ajax side. The game started lively with the game being end to end the game did show the distance Heereveen had come since Capp had come in as they looked at different side to the one that played back in September and lost 5-0 at the Amsterdam Arena. Heereveen started brightly defending deep and attacking on the break. Koga was missing due to injury so his place was filled in by Backajilou and the fast winger took his chance of a starting berth. Ajax where unable to handle his pace down the left wing and finally crumbled as he scored two quick fire goals. Ajax got a goal back just before half time due to an error from Mory Kone that allowed Bas Dost to run through on goal. De Boer must of said something at half time as Ajax came out a different team and inside the first 15minutes they found themselves winning 3-2 thanks to a headed goal from Bruma and another from Bas Dost. Capp ringed the changes to his side and they where back on the front foot drawing level on the 80th minute with Backajilou completing his hat trick. It then turned into an end to end game with Ajax looking the more likely of the two to find the winning goal and the winning goal came in the 91st minute. Capp will definitely not be happy after his side had a corner but Ajax cleared it quickly and on a quick counter-attack Ajax attackers found themselves 4 on 2 after some neat passing Fischer finishing the move by rounding Nordfedlt and passing the ball into the net. The game finishing 4-3.

After that disappointment against Ajax, Heereveen turned on the style with a dominant performance against a weak RKC side and should of probably won by more but thans to RKC keeper they did not. Backajilou scoring the winning goal in the 66th minute. Up next was a game against NEC who where in the other Semi-final of the Dutch Cup even though they are 13th position in the table. SCH didn't turn up for this game and should probably of lost but thanks to Backajilou and Lacodia's late late goals in the 88th and 93rd minute did they manage to salvage a point against a determined NEC side. Capp was not happy as he made his post match team talk in front of the travelling fans and it looked like the fans appreciated this.

After the disappointing draw with NEC, Heereveen hosted Roda JC and ADO Den Haag at the Abe Lenstra Stadion. Up first was Roda JC who play a very defensive game, but Heereveen where able to overcome this in a difficult game where they come from behind to win 3-2 thanks to goals from Estomba, Fetfatzidis and Locadia. The form of Backajilou has been keeping Koga out of the starting 11 with the winger putting in some very commanding performances and he looks like he could be able to push SCH on the the European places. Den Haag then visited and found themselves 1-0 up in the first 15 minutes however a 10 minute capitulation at the beginning of the 2nd half saw them goal 3-1 down and from then on Heereveen where in the driving seat controlling the possession unfortunately not be able to add to their 3 goals.

We came through a tough month Capp said We played top of the league and almost got a point out of them. We played teams all still in contention for relegation so they played well and battled hard. We dropped 5 points but we find ourselves in 4th place and I am now happy with that we are in a more respectable position now for a club of our stature.
Good results there even against Ajax as you almost beat them.

Classy Ajax put Heereveen to the Sword

In what was touted as a much anticipated game in this years Dutch Cup Competition Ajax showed that they are a world apart from the rest of the Dutch League after a convincing 5-2 win over 3rd placed SC Heereveen.

Heereveen had welcomed back first team players Koga and Captain Moussa Kone but where without Defensive stalwarts Estomba and Mory Kone due to susupension. The way Heereveen set up you could see they where to play on the counter. Ajax had a full compliment of first team players and where going to look to control the game from the off. The Attacking Trident of Bas Dost, Fischer and Timo Werner had scored 50 goals between them and was going to be Ajax's biggest threat.

The game started a bit slowly with Ajax controlling the possession and play well but where not able to break down an organised Heereveen defence. Heereveen didn't see much of Ajax's half in the opening half hour but as the game wore on and Ajax became more sloppy with their passing Heereveen started to strike using their pace down the wings on the counter. Locadia was in the bench for this game as Capp looked to utilize all the speed he had in his team playing a front 3 of Backajilou, Koga and Fetfatzidis. The tactics looked like it would work until the 39th minute when an organised Heereveen defense found themselves 3 against 4 with Werner running down the left wing at Bijl and the young defender, who was starting only his 5th game since joining, got his feet tangled trying to track the pacey winger and tripped trying to run back. Werner went through on goal before crossing for Bas Dost to finish the goal. Heereveen weren't able to re-organise as from Kick-off Ajax won the ball back and where on the attack again but it came to nothing after a fine save from Nordfedlt. In the 45th minute Ajax had a corner and their big defenders came up to join the attack and the height differences could be seen between the two teams. The difference's paid as Ajax scored from the header with Bruma scoring a towering header.

As the half time whistle went you could see the Heereveen side deflated and not looking up for the 2nd half. Trudging down the tunnel the Ajax players where in a buoyant mood and where brimming with confidence.

The 2nd half started as the 1st half finished with Ajax on the attack scoring again in the 52nd minute after an error from Heereveen Captain Kone allowed Fischer to run away with the ball and chip the ball over a stranded Nordfedlt. Heereveen started to tick again in the 58th minute when their attacking 3 started to receive more of the ball and putting the Ajax defense on the back foot. With Fefatzidis and Backajilou playing leading roles. It wasn't until the 62nd minute did Heereveen reply with neat play down the right wing before Fetfatzidis crossed the ball in for Koga to slot home. Grabbing the ball they ran back to re-start the game. It took all of about 4 minutes for Heereveen to be back on the attack piling pressure onto the Ajax goal. Pummelling the goal with shot after shot after shot. Heereveen had finally turned up for the game and it had only taken them 68minutes. Finally the pressure paid off again with a long range drive from Kone did the keeper not collect the ball and Fetfatzidis pounced to score the 2nd goal for Heereveen.

What happened next can only be described as madness. With Bas Dost clean through on goal, Bijl took one for the team and brought down the big striker and had already started to walk towards the tunnel but the forward was infuriated by the challenge and went after Glenn, he started punching the young defender and as he fell to the ground Bas Dost then went and stamped on his leg. With this it just completely erupting and a mass brawl breaking out with Moussa Kone defending the young player by tackling the striker to the floor. It took the officials 5 minutes to calm the situation down were 5 players where shown red cards. 3 to Heereveen and 2 to Ajax players. With that the game kind of fell flat as the intensity had been taken out of the game and we watched the die out until the 90th minute where Ajax found a second gust of wind and hit Heereveen with 2 more goals in 3 minutes taking the scoreline to 5-2. The goals came from Bruma and an own goal from Koga.

Frank De Boer declined to comment after the game about the brawl but Capp was more than happy to. With regards to the fight it was uncalled for Glenn was already leaving the field of play and it just erupted. Glenn has already been assessed and he is out for the rest of the season with a broken leg. Which is definitely unfortunate for the young man

Capp is definitely not happy and it could be seen with him refusing to shake De Boer's hand. We will bring you more if there is any further fall out from this game.
