Matches

December 2, 2014
Leicester 5 - 0 Burnley
Although he was subbed early for precautionary purposes, Anthony Knockaert ran the show here, scoring a hat trick. We were up 3-0 at halftime. Kramaric also had a good showing. We almost conceded in the 90th minute, but it would've been a consolation anyway, Burnley were execrable here.

December 8, 2014
Hull 1 - 1 Leicester
This match was a disappointment coming off the Burnley demolishment. Andrew Robertson scored on a corner to give Hull the early lead, but Ulloa scored a long shot to equalize just before halftime. Knockaert had a bad game and had to be subbed off prematurely.

December 13, 2014
Leicester 0 - 2 Manchester United
Since both Morgan and Huth were unavailable for this game, I played a counterattacking tactic with a deeper line to try to negate their lack of speed, but it didn't work as Rooney put two past us anyway.

Capital One Cup Quarterfinal
December 16, 2014
Leicester 1 - 1 Fulham after extra time (Leicester wins 5-4 on penalties)
We had injuries to Dean Hammond and Luke Garbutt in the first half that would hamper us later on. Dan Burn scored first for Fulham on a free kick save rebound, but David Nugent equalized. We couldn't get the winner in 90, or 120, and Cambiasso picked up a red just before penalties. All penalties were made except for Fulham's fifth taker, Kacaniklic, who bizarrely double-clutched, and our keeper Schmeichel easily saved for the victory, although it should've been much earlier and playing 120 minutes again is going to hurt us.

December 20, 2014
Liverpool 1 - 2 Leicester
Another shocking win coming off playing 120 minutes! Ulloa found a pocket of space and ran onto the ball for our first goal, then Kramaric did the same for our second. Liverpool had plenty of chances but they were offside or shot wide. Borini pulled one back and Liverpool threatened to draw but we hold on for the victory.

December 26, 2014
Leicester 3 - 2 Chelsea
It was a Boxing Day shocker as Leicester came out to an early 3-0 lead with Ulloa and Kramaric scoring, then De Laet rising over Cesc Fabregas to win a header and score Leicester's third and final goal. Even down 3-0, Chelsea were as threatening as ever and Cuadrado pulled one just before half time. In the second half, Garbutt scored an own goal and Limior looked pained as Leicester had to bat away attack after attack, but Chelsea ran out of time and Leicester got another shock win.

December 28, 2014
Aston Villa 2 - 0 Leicester
Injuries and two days of rest between matches really exposed our lack of depth, and we had to take a step back here. We kept trying to come back when down 1-0, but a Benteke tap-in of a cross buried us.

Premier League Table

The mid-est of mid-table, which is perfectly fine with me. I still want to push forward, but limited depth will likely hold us back. Still, we should be able to ensure survival long before the end of the season.
Some fantastic results there like Burnley, Liverpool and Chelsea mate! :)

Leicester bolster squad with Ansotegi, Madinda loans

Despite limited funds, Leicester have managed to bolster their squad for the second half of the season by signing center back Ion Antosegi and central midfielder Levy Madinda to end-of-season loan deals. Antosegi, signed from Real Madrid, will slot in as a rotational player behind Huth and Strandberg, and above Wes Morgan, who Limior sees as a walking red card, and Marcin Wasilewski, who Leicester have released from the club. Madinda will rotate in the roaming playmaker role, although he may see play elsewhere in central midfield. Both deals are seen as temporary, there is no chance of either signing a permanent deal at this time.

There are rumors that Leicester is not done yet, as the current word is they are looking to sign Danilo Pereira from Maritimo, but it hasn't been finalized yet.

Matches

January 1, 2015
Sunderland 0 - 1 Leicester
It was a hard-fought battle, and Schmeichel saved our ass numerous times. We got the winning goal when Danny Drinkwater launched a high pass to Ulloa that the Sunderland defense failed to intercept.

January 4, 2015
FA Cup 3rd Round
Cardiff 2 - 3 Leicester
It was loanee Ion Ansotegi's debut, and the center back from Real Sociedad had a poor showing, he had to be subbed off early. Despite that, we got off to an early lead, with Ulloa picking up a hat trick. Despite subbing off Ansotegi, our defensive performance suffered and we almost let Cardiff back in the match.

January 10, 2015
Leicester 1 - 1 Tottenham
Ulloa is starting to become more and more reliable. Again, he equalized after Soldado put Tottenham up. Strandberg's red card for a bad tackle forced us to play Matty James at CB, which isn't an ideal situation, but we ended the match 1-1, which isn't a bad result.

January 17, 2015
Southampton 3 - 2 Leicester
A test of our ambitions, as we had to win this one to prove we were real contenders for Europa League, and we failed. Despite having a 2-1 lead at one point, goals from Shane Long and Florin Gardos resigned us to defeat. Of note was Southampton's first goal, an effort from Victor Wanyama where he showed great striker's instincts by moving into the space our center backs left him and putting one past Schmeichel. And they say he's just a destroyer...

January 21, 2015
Capital One Cup Semifinal First Leg
Arsenal 2 - 1 Leicester
We got the early lead on a penalty after Gabriel Paulisa fouled Ulloa in the box, but Welbeck's two headed goals give Arsenal a one goal lead heading into the return leg.

January 24, 2015
FA Cup 4th Round
Leyton Orient 1 - 2 Leicester
It wasn't the best of wins, but we got it done, unlike Tottenham, who lost to Chesterfield.

January 28, 2015
Capital One Cup Semifinal Second Leg
Leicester 1 - 1 Arsenal (2 - 3 on aggregate)
A one goal deficit was too much for us to overcome, it was a dull match, and Mertesacker's goal made it a 2 goal deficit. Ulloa got in a great header to make extra time a possibility, but we couldn't score again and Arsenal are through to the final.

Premier League Table

12th looks bad, but we have a couple games in hand since we focused the end of the month on tournament play.

Leicester continues to go Spanish - More signings to announce

Leicester have three more signings to announce. The earliest is that they have signed midfielder Sergio Alvarez from Sporting to a pre-contract, and he will join on July 1, 2015. The most sensational is that they have signed 18-year old center back Jesus Vallejo from Zaragoza for his release clause of 1.1 million pounds on transfer deadline day. Malaga and Arsenal were all in for the hot prospect, as well, but he chose to go to Leicester, and it's seen as a major coup, as he could play today if the manager wanted him to, despite his young age, and obviously, a club like Arsenal wanted him.

Leicester have also come to a pre-contract arrangement for English-American striker Nicky Muller at US Developmental Academy, he will join the team when he turns 18.

Jesus Vallejo is a brilliant capture, as he turns into one of the best defenders in the world on the game. Some great results mixed with some good ones (how do you win at Liverpool and lose at Villa?! only FM knows), but you're on course for safety and that's the important thing.
What skin do u use
Some brilliant signings as of late and the league season is going well now!
@joncs23: http://www.fmscout.com/a-fmtgw-dark-and-light-skin-fm15.html I use dark skin and regular sidebar. I love the skin because it's basically the same as the default skin, just with background selector, instant result, and some cosmetic changes that make it look sleeker. (I had gotten tired of the default skin's look but it was the best skin I had ever used for FM15, Vitrex is better but isn't good enough at the resolution I play at, if that makes any sense.)

February 1, 2015
Crystal Palace 2 - 1 Leicester
I wish Jason Puncheon was this good when I had him on FM, he assisted with both goals and was the man of the match.

February 4, 2015
Leicester 1 - 0 Swansea
This was the first match Vallejo could play in, but he didn't start due to fitness. Ion Ansotegi's header marked his first goal of the season for us and the winning goal. Vallejo came on as a central midfielder, not a center back, although he's only a yellow at CM. He's being trained for the position and should be deployed in both areas of the pitch as needed. The other big news is that Leonardo Ulloa broke his ankle and will be out 3 months.

February 7, 2015
Leicester 2 - 1 Manchester City
Due to short rest, some unlikely heroes turned out for Leicester today, as Danny Drinkwater and Jamie Vardy scored goals to give Leicester the lead. Wilfried Bony pulled one back in the 90th minute, but was ruled offside to stop City's last attack and secure a season sweep over them.

February 10, 2015
West Brom 2 - 2 Leicester
We blew a 2-0 lead, although Brown Ideye's equalizer looked offside, the referee counted it, but it was our fault for losing control of the match. Jesus Vallejo made his debut as a center back, he had a good performance as a ball-playing defender, he just needs to work on his stamina as he had to be subbed early.

February 14, 2015
FA Cup 5th Round
Chelsea 3 - 0 Leicester
Kasper Schmeichel tried his best to keep us in it, but Chelsea's attack was too strong and Dominic Solanke scored twice. Kramaric had to come off with injury and we were down to 10 men, Diego Costa scored from 35 yards to add insult to injury.

February 21, 2015
Leicester 1 - 0 Queen's Park Rangers
It wasn't pretty, but a stunning strike from Jamie Vardy gives us a 1-0 nailbiter win over QPR. Hamza Choudhury is starting to get a run in the side, maybe Limior sees great things in him? He did okay, and knocked away QPR's last effort to get a share of the spoils.

February 28, 2015
Everton 0 - 1 Leicester
Another nailbiter, this time it was Knockaert who scored the winner from distances after running onto a wonderful pass from Kramaric, and he just beat Tim Howard. This time we passed the test of our ambitions, getting a scrappy win over 7th placed Everton on the road.

Premier League Table

We're edging closer to 7th, and continental aspirations are real for a team that most considered relegation fodder at the beginning of the season. Hamza Choudhury is starting to be integrated into the squad, although he's only 17 and a tad undercooked, and next month, we'll get the youth intake, with hopefully more players that I can work on integrating into the first team.
Some great results there mate.
What a season you're having now!
Things are going well I can see, if only you were as consistent against the smaller teams as you are against the big'uns! I really like some of your signings and I'd like to think I influenced the Sergio Alvarez capture just a little :P If he performs for you like he did for me then you're in for a steal.
@Rablador - You did, I saw he was available on a pre-contract signing and remembered him from our save. Also, a Jeet Padaruth generated in this save as well, but he's much worse than the one in ours.

Leicester 2 - 0 Newcastle
Our third league win in a row and our sixth league match without a loss in a row! Kramaric is replacing Ulloa very well, he picked up another goal with a solid finish after finding space in the defense and Knockaert found him with a pinpoint pass. Robert Huth scored a header on a corner kick, and adding on to his solid defensive performance, made him man of the match.

March 14, 2015
Arsenal 2 - 1 Leicester
2-1 was a flattering scoreline as Arsenal should have had way more than two goals, they had great chance after great chance. We pulled one back late with Vardy, but we lose, and even worse, Knockaert is out 4-5 weeks with a twisted ankle, and we're bereft of attacking players.

March 21, 2015
Leicester 1 - 0 West Ham
Back to the narrow wins. In the 10th minute Levy Madinda tried a speculative shot that Adrian saved, but he couldn't capture, and De Laet pounced on the rebound and scored the winning goal.

Premier League Table

We've had a good month, and we're within 2 points of 7th place. The last win against West Ham secured safety, although that was all but virtually assured given our point total.
Great month imo, you're in a great position in the league!
