Our once existent good form has now died away to become incredibly poor, scraping only 1-0 wins against poor teams and losing the rest. Matthew Fletcher has lost his firepower up top which he stored inside him a few months ago. Fortunately for him, Ross Allen is also in a poor show of form, scoring only one goal since he joined in December.

The Australian still remains top scorer in the league with 23 goals in 36 games. We scraped our way into the next round of the FA Trophy via a replay against mid-table National League South team Maidstone United.

FIXTURES

LEAGUE TABLE

Because of our shocking league performances over the course of February, we have lost ground on the title race dramatically, going from two points away at the end of January to seven points behind new league leaders Gateshead at the end of February. With only ten games remaining this is a very bad time to lose this amount of points, especially considering how close we were.

In the FA Trophy we will play Evo-Stik Northern Premier League outfit Blyth Spartans for the Fourth Round of the cup. It will be played at Blyth's Croft Park.

PLAYER OF THE MONTH

Our Player of the Month for February is Ben Blackmore. In our 2-2 draw Blackmore assisted Matthew Fletcher's goal in the seventh minute of the game. Since joining early on in January, Blackmore has been a calming influence in midfield, working well with last month's Player of the Month Samir Nabi and showing experience well beyond his age.

Huddersfield & QPR Look To Chabukiani

Following the sackings of David Wagner and Neil Warnock by Huddersfield and Queens Park Rangers, Sky Bet has set the odds at 3-1 for Bradford Park Avenue gaffer Adam Chabukiani to take over.

Wagner was sacked by Huddersfield Town chairman Dean Hoyle a fortnight ago after a 2-0 loss to Yorkshire rivals Hull City, sending them into the relegation zone.

Since the German's sacking, his right-hand man Christoph Buhler has taken them out of the relegation zone, albeit by one point.

Huddersfield Town fans have voiced their happiness to see Chabukiani linked with the job, with his tough-guy attitude towards authority and his players an attraction for The Terriers faithful. He is the front-runner for the job but Adam Chabukiani has stated that his loyalties lie at Horsfall Stadium, with his Bradford Park Avenue side in the Play-Off places heading into March.

Mark Cooper has also been linked with the job at The John Smith's Stadium.

As for Queens Park Rangers, Malaysian billionaire Tony Fernandes announced the sacking of former fan favourite Neil Warnock, ending his second spell at Loftus Road.

The 68-year-old joined the London club in early March 2010, and became a club icon a season later as he led the club to it's first return to the English top-flight since 1996, at which point Warnock promoted Plymouth Argyle from League Two via the Play-Offs.

He was removed from his post at Loftus Road at Christmas time the following season after failing to get QPR out of the Premier League relegation zone.

After a complete failure at Leeds United and a four-month spell as interim manager of Crystal Palace in 2014, the Sheffield-born manager found his way into Loftus Road again as an assistant manager just days after leaving his Selhurst Park role.

Warnock then took over as manager of Queens Park Rangers in July 2015 and after staying there for just under two years, he was finally sacked as manager after leading the club into eighteenth place following a Play-Off Final the previous season.

Now Tony Fernandes will look towards a more youthful manager, with Chabukiani front-runner, followed up by former Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe who has been unemployed for almost a year. Millwall's Neil Harris is also a contender for the Loftus Road post.

Fans of the club are enjoying Robert Green's caretaker spell of the club, with the former England international keeper earning himself a good managerial reputation with recent decisions regarding the matchday squad.

It is unlikely that Chabukiani will accept any offers, though, as he demonstrated last year by rejecting roles at AFC Bournemouth and a generous offer from Ryan Giggs over at Salford City.

The young Georgian has always claimed that his job at Bradford Park Avenue will stay with him forever until authority want him out. He has said that his mission to take Bradford Park Avenue 'to the top' is his life goal and will do anything to complete that.
Great update man, really enjoying this!
2016-02-17 21:42#226188 mgriffin2012 : Great update man, really enjoying this!
Thank for the support man :D

March was another relatively disappointing month, besides the fact that our FA Trophy cup run will continue into the semi-final stage with a game against Gloucester City. Although we went unbeaten this month, we still drew against three teams in the league, accumulating to the same amount of points as a single win.

FIXTURES

LEAGUE TABLE

Despite only managing to pick up a shameful point against them in this month, Aldershot Town were finally relegated from the division, with just sixteen points to their name. Karl Marginson was sacked as a result. As for our league position, we have distanced ourselves from an exit of the Play-Off places, gaining a four-point lead over sixth placed Boreham Wood. We still remain a distant three wins away from matching Gateshead's lead at the top, which looks impossible now.

PLAYER OF THE MONTH

Matthew Fletcher seems to back in form again as he banged in goals for three games in a row against Blyth, Aldershot and Macclesfield. He scored five goals over the course of March and we needed him back in form for the last month of the season, and luckily he is!
Slipping away from that automatic spot but you've just got get a few more wins now to make sure you don't slip out of the play-offs :P

Bradford PA Head To Wembley

Following a 4-0 battering of Vanarama National League North outfit Gloucester City in the FA Trophy Semi-Final, they will play against Wrexham in the Final in May.

Adam Chabukiani has exceeded board expectations of the cup of only reaching the fourth round, by taking the team all the way to Wembley.

The club qualified for the cup through a 1-0 win against Farsley Celtic all the way back November 2016, with a First Round result of 2-1 against Bedworth Town.

After Bedworth, they played their only fellow league rivals Southport in the Second Round (not counting Wrexham), beating them 2-0 with goals from Harry Charsley and Matthew Fletcher.

Chabukiani struggled in the Third Round slightly, with Maidstone United taking their initial 2-2 draw to a replay which Bradford won 1-0 over at Gallagher Stadium.

In March, the club beat Blyth Spartans and Margate in the Fourth Round and Quarter-Finals. After an away tie against Gloucester City was announced to be played at the clubs' Whaddon Road, they knew they couldn't be complacent against the team the league below them. They replied to the draw by turning in one of the season's best performances as Chabukiani's men ran over Gloucester in a 4-0 win.

With four points away from first place in the league, and one game remaining for The Stans, it is now mathematically impossible to be promoted automatically, and since realistically guaranteeing a Play-Off place, there could be two trips to Wembley coming, should they reach the National League Play-Off Final.

The Final will take place on 21st May against Wrexham following the Welsh team's penalty win against National League rivals Boreham Wood, who may scupper their Play-Off chase on the last day of the league season in revenge.
Good luck in the final, great update as per usual too.
Congrats on making the final!
AliciaWAFC & MJK46: Thanks guys :P

A 1-0 win over Forest Green Rovers draws the curtain on the league stage of the Vanarama National League. It was an unfortunate season in my eyes as I believed at one point that we could go all the way to winning the title, but bad form in the middle of the season scuppered that belief. We will now have to settle for a fourth place finish, five points off the top spot taken by Gateshead.

FIXTURES

LEAGUE TABLE

At around December-time, we were flying high at the top of the table, so to come down to fourth heading into April is poor in my opinion. We can still hold onto the fact that our defence is superior to any other team in this league, conceding nine less goals than Wrexham, who have the next best defensive record.

At the bottom of the table, there was a shock as Cheltenham Town were relegated to the Vanarama National League North/South just two seasons after being relegated from League Two. Aldershot Town showed possibly the worst season this league has ever seen, picking up 21 points all season as they languished 27 points from safety. Alfreton Town and Havant & Waterlooville were also sent down.

PLAYER OF THE MONTH

Despite criticism in January for signing up the 34-year-old for a fee of £10,000, the former Pompey defender has really shown his worth this month, as he nodded in two goals and kept three clean sheets, conceding five goals in the seven matches he played in.

SEASON STATS

Avenue Take Healthy Lead To Wales

After achieving their Play-Off position in the league stage, Bradford Park Avenue have taken their first step towards back-to-back Play-Off promotion with a 4-0 home win against Wrexham.

Bradford Park Avenue are having what seems like a warm-up game against the Welsh-based side before their Wembley clash in the FA Trophy Final, which is also against them.

With Wrexham overtaking Bradford on the last day of the league schedule, Chabukiani's men have got their revenge by trouncing Gary Mills' squad 4-0 at Horsfall Stadium in the First Leg of their Play-Off Semi-Final.

It took midfielder Harry Charsley just six minutes to get on the scoresheet in front of the 4,500+ fans crammed into the ground for the most highly-anticipated home game of the season.

The move for the first goal started with a Ben Chorley pass to his Polish partner Piwowarczyk. Ben Blackmore took one touch before playing Sanchez Watt out wide. Clappison cracked Charsley as soon as he got the ball, taking it back to Ben Chorley. Some excellent interplay between Samir Nabi, Matthew Fletcher and Harry Charsley saw the Irishman one-on-one with Wrexham's keeper Alex Cairns before going round him and slotting it in the open goal.

It was Sanchez Watt who slotted in the second for his side in the 26th minute. Matthew Fletcher held up a long, high Charsley pass for more support to arrive. Fletcher then completed a long-distance one-two with Charsley by passing him the ball again in the middle. Charsley, from the edge of the box saw his teammates darting run into the box and found the Jamaican international with a beautiful through pass before Watt finished off the move.

Gary Mills' team-talk had worked for Wrexham until the 62nd minute when Charsley thought it was time to get on the scoresheet once again.

Samir Nabi received the ball from Blackmore in the final third of the pitch. A pass found its way to Matthew Fletcher, which he had to track back to control. The Australian then linked up with his attacking-midfield compadré to slot in the youngsters second of the game.

And of course, it wouldn't be a Bradford Park Avenue win if top scorer Matthew Fletcher didn't get on the scoresheet. The Australian netted one right at the death in the 90th minute.

As Sanchez Watt skipped around the tired legs of Clappison once again, it freed up space for the Arsenal graduate to run into. Watt played the ball quickly into Ben Blackmore, who then played his fellow Australian Matthew Fletcher directly through on goal with a first-time pass before the six-foot talisman placed the ball through Cairns' legs for a fourth as he celebrated right in front of the deflated Wrexham fans.

Adam Chabukiani claimed that he saw one of his team's 'best performances' this season with the 4-0 battering of Wrexham. He denied claims made by his opposite number Gary Mills of the Horsfall Stadium pitch deemed 'unplayable'.

"If it was such an issue, the referee would have felt the need to call such a vital match off," replied the young Georgian manager.

Both managers will be watching the Barrow vs Bristol Rovers fixture with interest, indicating who the two manager's may be meeting at Wembley later in May. However, Mills will have more to think about, as he hopes to chase down a 4-0 deficit as Bradford Park Avenue arrive at The Racecourse Ground at the weekend.
You are doing amazing man!!!

Bradford Book Second Trip To Wembley

Gary Mills' theory of bad pitch conditions at Horsfall Stadium resulted in loss for his Wrexham side were proven wrong as Bradford Park Avenue ran all over the Welsh side yet again.

Wrexham boss Gary Mills will not be looking forward to their trip to Wembley for the FA Trophy Final against a powerful Bradford PA which won 4-0 against his team again in the Play-Off Semi-Final.

Two braces from Matthew Fletcher and Sanchez Watt saw Adam Chabukiani's team double their First Leg 4-0 lead to make the aggregate score 8-0 with another 4-0 win at The Racecourse Ground in Wrexham, Wales.

After the Horsfall Stadium tie midweek, Wrexham Head Coach Gary Mills was quoted blaming his side's heavy loss on the 'shocking' standard of the West Yorkshire side's pitch, which was denied by opposition manager Adam Chabukiani, who claimed the referee would have called off such a pivotal game if he saw the field unfit to play on.

With a 4-0 defeat in his own back yard, Mills will have to face some real questions as to why his Wrexham team failed to prevent such a hammering home, and away.

Bradford's first goal came through lethal striker Matthew Fletcher in the twelfth minute of the game, as Samir Nabi controlled Charles Dunne's throw-in, before turning out into the middle and passing it to Ben Blackmore. The Australian midfielder played the ball to Harry Charsley, who was stood on the edge of the area who assisted the goal with a through ball to Fletcher, before the striker placed it into the near post.

Sanchez Watt then added his name onto the scoresheet in the 32nd minute when Charles Dunne threw the ball in to Charsley's feet on the left side of the area, before playing it out to Nabi on the edge. Nabi passed inside to Blackmore before finding Watt in the area, with the right-winger firing home Bradford's second with a left-footed shot into the left-hand corner.

Sanchez Watt scored Bradford's third in the first half in the 45th minute. As Caner Dumlupinar picked up the ball near the halfway line, the half-Turkish full-back found Ben Blackmore in the middle, before he turned to find Harry Charsley. Charsley linked up with his fellow Irish teammate Jack Hallahan as he sprinted into the box. Ross White made a great challenge on the winger, but the remnants of his tackle found Sanchez Watt who happily fired his second of the game with an open goal at his wake.

After Bradford's scoring halted in the first half, they came alive one more time in the second half, with a 65th minute goal from Matthew Fletcher.

As Kasjusz Piwowarczyk nodded the ball left to Charles Dunne, the former Blackpool full-back found Hallahan on his wing. Hallahan failed to find 54th minute substitute Adam Pepper with a through ball, but the young midfielder retained possession as Wrexham's Manny Smith fell over whilst trying to collect the ball. As Smith tried to put a tackle in as Pepper reached the byline, he still got the cross in as Matthew Fletcher waited to nod in from the six-yard box.

As the Bradford matchday squad paraded over to the travelling supporters at The Racecourse Ground, Adam Chabukiani stayed a little longer with assistant manager Paul Wiltshire to soak up the emanating delight on display by the Avenue fans as they prepare for a second trip to London the week before the FA Trophy clash against Wrexham.

"I'm absolutely delighted for everyone involved at the club - the fans, the players, the staff and of course myself. But now we have got to the Final it's the hardest job yet so we're not getting the champagne out just yet!" said the popular Georgian gaffer to BCB Radio.

During the game versus Wrexham, Gillingham gaffer Steven Pressley was in the stands, reportedly watching Bradford Park Avenue's Caner Dumlupinar. Dumlupinar is Bradford's 16-year-old full-back who has started every Bradford game this season, with the exception of one which he missed through suspension.

The wonderkid is receiving praise from national status pundits such as Football Focus' Dan Walker, who said Dumlupinar has 'big things' coming for him in the next few years.

His boss, Chabukiani wrote off any interest, saying Steven Pressley 'can go look elsewhere', as Bradford Park Avenue look to keep him at Horsfall Stadium for as long as they can, with the defender already worth £23,000 according to TransferMarkt.com.

Back to the Play-Offs, though, following their First Leg 1-1 draw, Bristol Rovers have beaten Barrow 4-1 on aggregate and will ultimately play Chabukiani's Bradford Park Avenue at Wembley in the Play-Off Final on 14th May.

NATIONAL LEAGUE PLAY-OFF FINAL: LIVE

'Good evening football fans and welcome to BT Sport. Today we have a cracker of a game, with Bristol Rovers going up against Bradford Park Avenue in the Vanarama National League Play-Off Final.

'Today is a tale of two completely different clubs, Bristol, who have fallen from League One into Non-League football in just the past few years. Bradford, a club who have risen up from the regional divisions, but stalled in the National League North in recent times before the appointment of current manager Adam Chabukiani, who is looking for back-to-back promotions today.

'The two managers, Chabukiani and Bristol Rovers' Harry Kewell have had a recent spat lately, with Chabukiani showing his hatred towards the Australian legend, with his resentment stemming from his Leeds United days, with the widespread dislike for Kewell coming from his move to Galatasaray after graduating for Leeds' academy just like Chabukiani did before his tragic accident. I think we all know the rivalry between Leeds and Galatasaray. We highly doubt there will be any handshakes today between the couple.

'The last time these two teams met, Bristol won 1-0 at The Memorial Stadium, with Nathan Thomas bagging Bristol's only goal of the game. But now the lineups for both teams have been handed in to the female referee Amy Fearn who will be officiating today's match-up between the league rivals.'

BRFC: 1. S. Moore, 13. C. Oliver, 4. T. Lockyer, 6. T. Parkes, 3. L. Brown, 14. C. Lines, 7. J. Wakefield, 24. S. Sinclair, 54. K. Woolery, 19. N. Thomas, 9. R. Boulding.
Subs: 25. W. Puddy, 2. D. Leadbitter, 29. A. Georgiou, 10. M. Taylor, 57. C. Adams.

BPAFC: 1. M. Wright, 2. C. Dumlupinar, 5. K. Piwowarczyk, 14. B. Chorley, 21. C. Dunne, 4. B. Blackmore, 8. S. Nabi, 29. J. Abubakar, 19. H. Charsley, 11. J. Hallahan, 9. M. Fletcher.
Subs: 24. S. Watt, 3. A. Breslin, 10. A. Pepper, 18. A. Fletcher, 26. N. Oseni.

'Certainly an exciting mixture of ability on show there, with a shock exclusion of Sanchez Watt out of the starting eleven for Bradford, with young John Abubakar playing alongside fellow youth player Caner Dumlupinar down the right-hand side.

'It's seventeen degrees celcius out there today, the sky is looking clear and it looks like a great Wembley final, with almost 40,000 fans here today. It's not the only time Bradford will be visiting here, either, with the FA Trophy Final against Wrexham coming up, shortly corresponding their 8-0 Play-Off Semi-Final victory over Gary Mills' side.

'The teams are out in position now, it's almost three o'clock, and it's showtime. We'll head to our commentators Robbie Savage and Alan Smith.'

1': 'It's Bradford Park Avenue to get us underway here at Wembley, with top scorer Matthew Fletcher taking the first touch of the game.'

28': 'It's Caner Dumlupinar with a throw-in over on the right touchline, right next to the manager's technical areas. It's worth mentioning that the two managers did not shake hands before the match. Harry Charsley is on the ball after controlling the throw. It's Samir Nabi who has switched the play over to Jack Hallahan over on the left. The Irish winger has skipped past his marker, Oliver. Hallahan has whipped one into the far post... It's Abubakar!!! GOAL! John Abubakar has given Bradford the lead with his first ever goal for Bradford's first team! What a day for the youngster! A brilliant cross from Jack Hallahan as well!'

45+2': 'With no real highlights in the first half other than Hallahan's excellent cross which was volleyed in by John Abubakar, that calls for half-time at Wembley. Bristol Rovers nil, Bradford Park Avenue one.'

46': 'It's Rory Boulding of Bristol Rovers to kick off the second half.'

54': 'Changes for Bristol as Taylor replaces Boulding and Adams replaces Wakefield in midfield.'

65': 'Change for Bradford as Nathaniel Oseni replaces Ben Chorley, who has just received a booking from referee Amy Fearn.'

69': 'Wright will take the free-kick for Bradford just outside his area. Oseni passes it short to Piwowarczyk. It's a wonderful long-range pass by the centre-back to find John Abubakar out right. The winger turns back to pass to Ben Blackmore in the middle. It's played back to Dumlupinar. Nabi tries switching it but it's cleared by Oliver. It's landed with Woolery who's picked out a wonderful pass for Taylor! He's one on one with Myles Wright! Parried away by the keeper! A fantastic piece of play ruled out by an even better save!'

73': 'It's Dumlupinar with a throw-in on the near side. Charsley completes the one-two with the right-back before it's played to Ben Blackmore. Blackmore plays it to Charsley, a first-time pass to Abubakar. Abubakar's spotted a fantastic run by Matthew Fletcher here... Matthew Fletcher shoots! Parried away!'

80': 'Oliver has a throw-in on the far side of the pitch now. It's Chris Lines, one of Rovers' stand out players this season. Adams and Lines play a very neat one-two. It's Georgiou on the edge now... Takes aim and shoots! Parried away by Wright to the feet of Taylor! It's in the net but it's offside! No goal for Bristol as it starts getting desperate now!'

86': 'Oliver has another throw-in here. Adams knocks it back to the thrower Oliver. He rolls it under his boot, sends in a cross... Taylor's met it! GOAL! Bristol have equalised right at the death! Matty Taylor the substitute! He's kept Harry Kewell's team in it!'

90+4': 'Normal time has finished here at Wembley... It's going to Extra-Time!'

91': 'Fletcher restarts the game at the beginning of extra-time here'

105+1': 'That's the end of the first half in extra-time!'

106': 'Taylor kicks off the second half in extra-time'

110': 'It's a last throw of the dice from Chabukiani, as Sanchez Watt replaces goalscorer John Abubakar, as Hallahan switches to the right-wing. Nabi applauds the fans as Adam Pepper replaces him.'

112': 'Bradford have a corner, Sanchez Watt is taking it for them. The ball is swiped away by the Bristol defender, but there's nobody upfield, meaning Dumlupinar has bags of time and space at the halfway line. The ball is sent out spectacularly by Dumlupinar to the left finding Watt again. The substitute goes past Oliver and gets the byline... He sends a deep cross in, it's over the keepers' head... Hallahan at the far post!!! GOAL! Bradford have taken the lead again! Sanchez Watt with an assist just two minutes after coming on, Hallahan with the header from point-blank! Goal!!!'

120+2': 'Bradford Park Avenue fans are whistling from the stands as Amy Fearn lets Bradford have another corner. They want the final whistle right now! Charsley sends in a weak cross which only reaches the front post. It's cleared by Oliver... And that's it!!! Chabukiani has led his Bradford Park Avenue side to the Football League for the first time since 1969!!! It's unbelievable scenes here at Wembley! A goal from John Abubakar, and then by Jack Hallahan following a late Bristol equaliser in normal time, it's crazy!'

'Yes, we've managed to get hold of the dreamworker himself, Adam Chabukiani. Adam! It's unbelievable isn't it!'

'Fucking hell, Ian, unbelievable is an understatement, we are Football League now!'

'I can understand your delight. It's Bradford's first return to the fourth tier since 1969, how do you feel about being the man to take them back?'

'Ian, mate, I'm not being funny but I'm proud and everything, but I need to celebrate, thanks for your time, though.'

'No problem, Adam.

'That was Adam Chabukiani. The next time you see him is in League Two with this squad of heroes that the young Georgian has assembled. He really is Defying All Odds here at Bradford Park Avenue.'
