Welcome to my edition of [LFC - Road to the top] adventure

We start this adventure in the 2019/20 season, Expectations you could say where a little bit daunting the board handed out a £89 million spending budget with (100%) available towards transfer, However in return the board expected the following

- *Reach semi-finals of the champions league
- Win the league title
- Win the Fa Cup
- Win the club world cup
- Win the super cup
- Carling cup, Community sheild (not considered important)

After sizing up my team and my own expectations, it was agreed upon for a lesser budget that i would atleast achieve the following

- Reach semi-finals of the champions league
- Win the premier league
- Win the Fa Cup
- Win the club world cup
- Win the super cup

With the transfer window now open for another season, i wasted no time in dipping into the market to improve my team for the season ahead, first purchase was a young brazilian striker by the name of Cristiano, at the age of 20 years and playing for Internacional after scouting him for few games it was time to approach my DOF to make him a transfer target, With 5 star potential ability and a impressive 88 games played and 47 goals scored his record speaks for itself, and would be a pefect fit with Morata. Cristiano didn't come cheap costing me £20.5million plus another £12.5 million in addons/clauses.

Another target of mine was a player who i had previously on loan a few seasons back called Abdelhak Nouri who was playing for Ajax in the m/amc position, after Nouri handed in a transfer request due to wanting to go to a bigger club it was straight into the DOF office with another request, thankfully it didn't take long to sign this young lad and after shelling out £13.5million plus another £6million addons/clauses it was signing #2 of the season

Whilst i had a strong defense, i was always in danger of struggling if one or more got injured/suspended so a backup defender was needed, after checking out my suggested targets Otamendi currently (31) was not being used as much by Manchester City than in previous seasons, a useful player and a decent backup, bidding started at £7 million which was instantly, After checking out my finances i raised it up to £16 million with a 25% sell on fee which was accepted and Otamendi became my third signing of the season.

I did sign a few youngsters for the future but i will talk more about them in future seasons. With bringing in 3 players to bolster my team, It was time for some players to depart who i felt would not contribute or improve under my leader ship, I released Daniel Sturridge/Divock Origi and Sheyi Ojo and sold Joe Allen for £13m to Napoli (all be it, £5 million of that was in addons)

End of season performance

As you can see by my end of season performance i failed to reach the Champions league, Super cup, Club world cup targets, However i did bring home the most important prize the Premier league as you can see by the league table it was pretty close (and a few shock teams in there aswell)

Here is how bad my champions league performance was
