Introduction

Hello guys, my name's Sooraj Venugopal. This is my 3rd or 4th attempt at writing a story. The stories I had started in the past promised a lot, but since I couldn't save up time and failure to continue playing the game, they all ended up in failure. But I am rejuvenated after seeing and admiring the stories which currently thrive here in this site. So I decided to have another crack at story writing. I will do this story based on Football Manager 2015, because I am not comfortable with FM 16, also I couldn't get my mind out of FM 15 and the fantastic saves I had in it. I wish to continue this story for a long time, but to achieve this, I will need your full support and encouragement

Team Introduction and Tactics

As the title suggests, this will be a Newcastle United story. I chose Newcastle because this is a team I have experimented with many times, but they all ended up in failure. From my experience playing FM, Newcastle is a tough team to manage, like in real life. Although they are one of England's best club, they are struggling in recent years. This struggle period even saw them getting relegated to the Championship. It was under Alan Pardew, they found some stability. I hope to follow the footsteps of the great manager and lead the Tyneside club back to glory days.

Tactics

The tactics making is one of the hardest thing I have ever faced in FM. I am not much of a tactical genius, so the tactics I used earlier with Newcastle were all huge 'Flops'.So I decided to use some of the tactics I downloaded from here. I will post the link of the tactics, so that you viewers who still plays FM 15 can download and test them.

Tactic 1

Asymmetric Bulldoser tactic which heavily focus on attacking and getting men behind the ball. This is a high pressing tactic, in which the BBM and 2 CWBS play a huge role in this tactic's success.
Download it here: Asymmetric Bulldoser

Tactic 2

4-1-4-1: Great possession and attacking tactic. Wingers are the most important element for this tactic to work.
Download it here: 4-1-4-1

Tactic 3

4-3-2-1 Attacking tactic. High-pressing and fluid game. Found this one pretty good to use as my 3rd tactic.
Download it here: 4-3-2-1 Lavrador

Since I have finished a season in my save, I will be doing a quick full- season update of that season and catch up with my save. Until then, please enjoy reading this
A very nice update, and to add to that, I think the slightly larger text size makes the writing a lot easier to read. Great start and good luck!
Jack: Thanks Jack, Happy to get a comment from such a great writer :)
next update coming soon guyz
Nice start mate, good luck with the Magpies!
Chris: Thanks Chris. I hope to turn around their fortunes

Season 2014/15 Round up

This was Sooraj Venugopal's first season in charge of Newcastle United. This season promised a lot for the Toon fans. The question is 'How Newcastle performed this year'?

Transfers

The major transfers of this year was the transfers of Eder Alvarez Balanta and Dorin Rotariu for £6M and £5M respectively. Both players have great potential and most importantly they are young. These two players will be key to Newcastle's success in the coming years. Newcastle also brought in Man. United youngster Marnick Vermijl on a season long loan to fill the gap left by long-term injured Davide Santon. Bulgarian prospect Pavel Savitskiy also joined the Magpies on a free transfer in January.
Paul Dummett to Burnley and Gabriel Obertan on free transfer were the only main departures.

Balanta and Rotariu will be key to Newcastle's success

Fixtures/Results

Newcastle performed wonderfully this season, winning about 80% of their games. The fans can absolutely be proud of what their club acheived.

This was a season to remember for the players and fans alike, as Newcastle lifted the Barclays Premier League for the first time after 1927. A memorable season in which they finished in the summit with 90 points from 38 games, second- placed Chelsea further behind by 8 points.

Newcastle couldn't get past 2nd round as they were defeated by Sheffield Wednesday 2-0

This cup promised a lot but Newcastle once again failed. They flew past Wigan 4-1 in the 3rd round, but needed a replay to get past West Ham in the 4th round. Derby County proved to be a tough opponent but we scraped through 1-0. In the 6th round, the Saints of the South Coast proved to be too good as they thrashed us 3-0.

Wow! Steve McLaren, that's how its done!

Amazing effort to win the league first up, next stop European glory!
chris: not that fool of a mcclaren . it's me :P
To think Newcastle are all the way at the other end of the table irl :P Fantastic job in the league, will be interesting to see how you bolster your squad now that you're in the CL.
Great introductions to your story.
And what an amazing first season :D Fantastic really!
Excited to know where can you take them in the next year, it looks like a very interesting story, I'll be following.
Congratulations on the EPL title, keep it up.
And good luck ;)

Season 2 : Transfer Report

This season has a different aspect to Newcastle. They start this season as defending Premier League champions. This season is of huge important to us. Title defense will be very hard, but we will give our very best to defend our first Premier League title since 1927.
I have to make a few changes to the squad which won the league. This side is very capable but there are som positions that needed additions.
