No mate, I saw they were up for sale and thought it would make for a good story

Famahov releases brief statement to fans

To all the proud Valiants out there, you are about to become a whole lot prouder of your football club. I understand some of you may be sceptical of me as you don’t know who I am. But I can assure you I am here to stay and make this football club even greater than it already is. I plan to keep the traditional values of the club the same and keep all the internal staff within the club the same. However, there will be changes to the coaching and playing staff. Mr. Rob Page will be leaving along with several of his coaching assistants, we are currently looking for a bright, young coaching with new ideas to take the club forward. Me and the directors have names in mind but nothing definite yet.

My overall plan is too become an established top four team within 8 years. I will not throw money at the club if it isn’t necessary and we’ll still spend within our means. When we get to the Premier League that may be a different story but that’s years away yet.

I hope you are all as excited as I am,

Sevda Famahov.
Good start here, mate, I wonder who the manager's gonna be! :P

Chris Ramsay favourite for lucrative Port Vale job

Football’s newest sugar daddy’s have opened talks with numerous people over the currently vacant managerial position. Chris Ramsay is the new bookies favourite for the job after MK Dons’ Karl Robinson officially ruled himself out of the running. Other candidates include Tranmere’s Gary Brabin, unemployed Jim Magilton and Paris FC’s talented Denis Renaud. Port Vale were recently taken over by Azeri billionaire Sevda Famahov who looks to employ a long term manager to take them into the Premier League inside 8 years. Famahov used to own Kazakh side FC Astana who now feature for the first time this year in the UEFA Champions League and German Holger Fach who managed the side under him said that ‘everything about him (Famahov) is brilliant, his charisma and ambition are unmatched however he could use some tips on his dress sense.’
Good luck man !

Managerless Port Vale Start Pre-season
Supporters of Port Vale have become increasingly worried that no manager has been appointed yet as the squad heads into pre-season with just a handful of coaches to take training. A fan-based website has been criticising Sevda Famahov and his relaxed attitude to appointing a first team coach, arguing Famadov does not understand the importance of pre-season and how it can be a huge factor in early success or failure.

Famadov has reportedly found the perfect candidate to take over and will announce the new manager within a couple of days.
Great update. I did a save with PV last year and got them to the Prem, couldn't do any more than that though so hopefully you do better than I!
This looks to be a fun story, a nice start! Keep it up.

PORT VALE ANNOUNCE UNKNOWN COACH AS NEW MANAGER

(Supan-Smith far right in conversation with Phil Neville)

25-year-old Englishman Henry Supan-Smith has been named as the new manager of Port Vale. Supan-Smith is largely unknown to just about anyone. He has been working in Spain for the past two years and recently linked up with Gary & Phil Neville at Valencia.

He started off as a youth team player at Brighton & Hove Albion before being released at 16. Due to his father’s Balkan heritage he left England to play for HNK Rijeka where he played once in two full seasons. Impressed with his attitude and education in fitness they appointed him as the youth team fitness coach before leaving for then Croatian cup winners HNK Hadjuk Split to become first team fitness coach at the age of just 19. In 2013, Hadjuk Split played a UEFA Europa League game in Ukraine versus FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk where he caught the eye of then manager Juande Ramos who was impressed with his confidence and such a young age. Ramos recommended Supan-Smith to Valencia CF manager Juan Antonio Pizzi who took him as firs team fitness coach and has stayed at Valencia CF until now.

New Port Vale owner and chairman Sevda Famadov released a mini-statement about Henry Supan-Smith that read “We are delighted with the capture of Henry as he has come endorsed by some big names in football management and knew straight away he was the right man to take this club forwards.”.

Supan-Smith will not be taking any press conferences until he is media ready according to co-director Edouard-Layvin Steffen.
Interesting choice! Didn't expect it.
