" You'll never play football again"
The words that i was fearing. At just 19 years old my football career had so much promise, and now its over so soon. All because of a broken leg in two places. But that was then this is now.
At just 21 years old, I have recieved my Continental A license and can now become a manager!
Who would hire a 21 year old ? Someone will surely take a chance on me. Someone must.

Mick McCarthy has left his position at Ipswich Town to join up with the Republic of Ireland backroom team. This comes to a shock to Ian Milne the managing director of Ipswich Town and has given a statement exclusive to Sky sports HQ.

We wish the best to Mick McCarthy and the Republic of Ireland team. We are shocked by this move but have a couple of possible candidates in mind and will commencing with the interview process within the next week.

Could this be my chance ? The team where my Career ended in a under 21 match.
There is no harm in applying i thought to myself as i sit at my computer with my application all ready to send. My heart beat racing, palms sweating, I press send. and that was my first step and first managing job application.
We would like you to attend an interview with myself and Mr Marcus Evans
The email almost felt like a prank. Have i really just been invited to an interview with the managing director and Chairman of Ipswich Town football club?

As I enter the room with the two men i could feel how much i wanted this. The team i have supported as a boy and the team I played for would possibly give me chance.

It was a very informal interview, i almost felt like i wasn't being interviewed for such a pretiged position.
As i answered the last question, Marcus Evans, who didn't speak very much so far, uttered the words
We want to take a risk, we want to breath new life into this squad and are willing to give you the chance to do so.

I could feel my eyes widen. Questioning weather i heard right. They offered me the Job there and then. I was now the Ipswich Town manager and only being 21 years old it was plastered all over the place.

On the 1st of July 2015, i sat in my new office and got stuck into the job.

Ryan Humphreys the former under 21 Ipswich playmaker has been Hired as Manager of Ipswich Town in the biggest shock hiring in English football history.

As i sat and looked at my new team I neede to see what areas were lacking. With a budget of only 500,000 it would be a tough ask, but i didn't care. I was here and ready to work hard and get Ipswich Town back to the big league! The left back position is one of the positions I am looking at very hard also with the central midfield postion. and you can never have to many attacking players !

I knew one man who would be key to my push for promotion and that was Daryl Murphy. Scoring 39 goals in the last two seasons i knew he was the player that i needed to build around.

[i]Ipswich Town have put pen to paper and signed Stephan Ward for a fee to be believed of 250,000
The former Wolves defender joins on a 2 year contract and is said to be excited about the future for him and Ipswich Town.

Ipswich have also signed Martin Simoes on a free. The 18 year old Portugal striker has been a free since leaving Sampdoria in the summer and is definatly one to look out for in the future

Ipswich Town have just announced that joining the backroom team will be Terry Mcdermott, Kelham O'Hanlon and Carlos Lalin. The trio coaches bring a wealth of experience and can not wait to get started.
They are also announced that Jimmy Hampson and Mick Corderoy will join as a scouts.

Ipswich Town have just announced their squad numbers for the upcoming season and with only a couple of changes it seems like the same squad as the previous season.
The biggest shock is that the number one jersey has been handed to Bialkowski which was previously assigned the Dean Gerken, Joshua Emmanuel has been handed the number 2 jersey and would suggest that the young 17 young old will feature heavily in the new managers plans.

Daryl Murphy will miss the start of the season with a hip injury which will keep him out for up to 2 months. This was suffered in a 3-1 friendly match victory against anderlecht

After what i feel was a very good pre season the Championship will finally get underway ! Winning all of the friendly matches we are in fine form heading into the first match against Brentford!

Luke Chambers is player that i have selected to lead the team in the upcoming season !
A brilliant feeling came over me as we managed to get our first win of the season and my first win as manager. It never looked in doubt as we were by far the better team and in control for the best part of the match. Im extremely happy that Maitland-Niles, the Arsenal loanee managed to get a debut goal to seal the match. the first of many wins i hope !

Ipswich Town have signed Chelsea foward Bertrand Traore on a season long loan. He has been described as a player to look out for in the future but will be hoping to make an impact in the current season

A shock defeat in the Capital One cup left the team, me and most of all the supporters stunned. Poor performances from a couple of players and a own goal on Wards debut left us with a lot to do at 3-0 down, Larsen Toure and Traore with debut goals wasn't enough to prevent us from exiting the competition far too early.

An amazing amazing win in my first home match! The supporters gave the team the creit that they deserved as we come out as 7-1 winners against Sheffield Wednesday! A brace from Ryan Fraser and Freddie Sears helped with goals from Traore, Toure an Niles making it the perfect evening. The main point that i am happy about is that my players all done what was asked an more. The play was amazing and the team performance was outstanding!

Another impressive victory after we fell behind to a Sam Vokes goal. Goals from Niles and Sears again produced a lovely comeback against a top side.

Our 4th win out of 4 league games and it was a well fought contest going behind against the run of play but a brace from Ryan Fraser managed to get our side a very nice victory. No goals in the second half with the best chance falling to Niles but a very good double save from the Preston goalkeeper denyed him.
