Our first league defeat of the season and a disappointing one at that. Being at home made us Favourites but that didnt stop Brighton ruining our day. The defense was caught out twice and had no reply to Sidwells winner, 4 wins out of 5 is very good but the high standards i have set is not good enough.

Ipswich Towns Maitland-Niles on loan from Arsenal has been awarded player of the month for August. The 18 year old has been very impressive with 3 goals in the opening 5 games. Freddie Sears picked up second place with Ryan Fraser in third.

Ryan Fraser has also been handed Young player of the month with 4 goals in the opening 5 league games and has been getting the supports off their feet everytime he picks up the ball

Another disappointing result and we should have easily taken the 3 points here with the clear chances we had. Also not happy that we failed to keep another clean sheet again.

A match against bottom place Leeds who only had one point didn't go to plan as we quickly went two goals down, a brilliant comback brought us level and thought from there we would go on to snatch the win but a dubious goal from the Leeds attacker put them back ahead before another equaliser. In the end not a great result but certainly better than a defeat.

3 points from a possible 12. That was how i stood after a thrid draw in a row. This time against a Birmingham side that we really should have beaten. The defending is definatly something i need to look at now with not one clean sheet all season and the defence is something i seriously need to sort out.

Our first clean sheet of the season and it was against suprise 2nd place Bristol City. goals from Niles and 19 year olds Teddy Bishops first goal for the club was enough to get us a good victory. The main pleasing point was the limited number of clear cut chances that they had with Dean Gerkin keeping a clean sheet in his first league game of the season!
