Having been considered a backup option at left-back last season, 20-year old Wales-capped defender
Declan John is beginning to make a name for himself, consistently being a stand-out performer for the club. John already has 2 assists and a goal this season, but it is his all-round contribution to the team in defence and support that took him to second place in the Championship Young Player of the Month award.
In very close second comes pre-season performer
Kadeem Harris who continued his impressive form, netting a fantastic 5 goals in 7 games. It's safe to say that Pecchia has brought out some talent in younger players that was perhaps previously under-appreciated.
Pecchia's Thoughts
"Not a bad first month. I am happy to win in my first game, and keep that win streak at home, but in this country it is so important to have your fans behind you so being away is a lot tougher. We need to work on out strategies of breaking down home teams. We are not having a problem with scoring, though, as people like Kadeem have shown. The cup result against Leeds is also very positive."
