MJK: We will have to see about that boy, we did lose to Young Boys start of the season remember

Oh no...

This month did not bring good things for LASK as there were suggestions the bubble had finally burst on LASK's unprecedented season. Plenty of pundits predicted it, just like they did for Leicester in the Premier League, but to many people, LASK is a staple of defiance of the Red Bull superiority.

No win in sight

LASK began the month as they did the last, a loss. Austria Wien are sat in 3rd place and were worthy winners over LASK at the start of the month, who had no answer for a fluid and attacking Wienna side. This wasn't a league winning performance from LASK, not at all.

This was embarrassing for LASK as they failed to dispatch a poor Wolfsberger side who had 2 players sent off! This was ridiculous, the LASK were in the ascendancy but just couldn't finish for the life of them. Safe to say Holst was fuming with the lads after this

This was a crucial result, though LASK didn't win, they also didn't lose against second place, therefore stopping them from making progress towards catching them. This will definitely help in the grand scheme of the season, but LASK will be fearful of the time it's been without a win now.

Lead has been cut

LASK have seen their lead at the top of the table cut to 8 points now, as they struggled through this month. Times are going to be tough for LASK if they don't find some form soon.

Player of the Month

It's been a poor month for LASK but there's no doubt there has been one man who deserves the little bit of credit worth giving. Hans Sarpei has given everything for the side throughout the year and deserves POTM this month for sure.

Flop of the Lot

A man worth 2 million in this side should be making the difference in big games, the ones he started both ended up 1-1 and this man didn't score in either. Tomas Malec has not been great this year at all, but this was his chance and he's failed miserably.

Coming up...

It's vital LASK get back to form in the next month or there season will all come down quite quickly... They need to get a win, and then kick on from there.

Thanks for reading, all comments will be appreciated and reciprocated,
Cheers, Alex
Pretty big upcoming month in April. Good luck man!
MJK: Cheers man, always super grateful for your support, will be a tricky month

A big, big, big month

This month could be the defining part of LASK's season, a lot of big games to be played, and a lot of points to be won or loss. With the sort of form LASK find themselves in, they could be in deep do-do by the end of the month. Let's see how it goes.

Struggle to the line

Not a positive start to the month, losing to FC Admira for the 2nd time in a row. LASK looked to have earned a point, but for a late goal by Starkl. The poor form is continuing too long, Red Bull Salzburg are catching all the time...

Oh my word, LASK won a game. Holst would have flipped his s**t if he'd lost this one against non league opponents. Let's hope they can kick on from a good team display here, even Malec scored!!!

The game is clearly against LASK, 1-0 up and cruising against a much weaker Sc Neustadt side, when all of a sudden, Sarpei is sent off on the 75th minute, 10 minutes later an equaliser is netted and all of LASK's dominance is in vein. It seems all of the luck LASK had at the beginning of the year has come full circle.

Once again, LASK were denied vital points later on, with Rapid Wienna equalising on the 74th minute and winning it 10 minutes later again. Do these timings sound familiar? I couldn't believe LASK let this one slip, Holst was jumping around in frustration on the sidelines.

THE LUCK HAS RETURNED. LASK witnessed Sturm Graz midfielder Jeggo miss a penalty on the hour mark, a pivotal point in the game, to allow LASK to carry on fighting for a win. Mause popped up with 2 goals in a minute and all of a sudden life was easy. Hadzimesic added 1 late on to grab LASK's first win in SIX Premier League games.

LASK left it late to beat Sturm Graz in a replay of the Premier League fixture in the FA Cup. Once again Holst's side ran out as winners to put LASK in the FA Cup final, a huge achievement considering the way their form was going. Could a double be on for Holst?

Knocked off our perch

That's right, after all those months at the top, we find ourselves behind Red Bull Salzburg on goal difference. What a climax this season is coming to. I can't quite believe LASK have let it get to this, but a great finale is in sight.

Player of the Month

This lad has played well when his entire team seems to have been falling around him. He's incredibly consistent in the midfield and is a great staple for the side, he also scored twice this month, unusual for him. Well done to Sandro Djuric for a great month.

Flop of the Lot

This lads handling is becoming such an issue for the side now. The amount of time's he's taken a weak shot and just palmed it into the corner of his net is unbelievable and Holst is itching to get to summer to replace him. Dmitrovic just isn't good enough.

Coming up...

The final 3 games are here! Some may have thought LASK have the league won by this point, but it's not that simple. Instead, LASK find themselves needing to better the points total of Red Bull Salzburg in these final 3 games, or claw back a 5 goal goal difference.

UNTIL THEN, I leave you lovely readers with this... Who will prevail? Find out next time.

Scenes. Absolute scenes.
Gonna be one hell of a run in man! Confident you can come out on top though!
Man, I hope you can land the title. But even if you can't CL is still very good achievement.
WWred: The scenes are real my friend

mgriffin2012: Hmmm after LASK's recent form, it'll be interesting for sure

Hellsdoom: That is true, either way
This next month will be massive man. Good luck!!

The final run in

I KNOW, I teased that you'd all get a conclusion to the season in this update, but I want to have a proper big focus on the final game of the season.

Anyway, the LASK lot are in a situation now where the league isn't in their own hands, they only have Red Bull Salzburg to focus on, but they are hoping and praying for something to go their way.

Game 1

Kerhe missed a penalty which could prove to be season-defining, meaning LASK drew 0-0 with SV Ried, a poor result in retrospect. There was a sense of worry around the ground after the game, had LASK actually gone and thrown it away.

Fortunately, no. Salzburg drew 0-0 on the day, meaning the situation stayed the same and LASK hadn't thrown it all away, equally though, they missed a chance to go top.

Game 2

This time LASK did their job, they didn't do much in the way of clawing back the goal difference they desperately need, but a win is a win, and puts pressure on Red Bull Salzburg to do the same. The game was easy, certainly wasn't easy, but Blutsch's goal was enough to see LASk through.

However, Salzburg managed to do what they needed to again, beating Sturm Graz 2-0. This meant it would all come down to the final game...

It comes down to the final day

All this means the FINAL GAME OF THE SEASON will decide the title this year, LASK are still behind Red Bull Salzburg on goal difference. However, this can all change.

Who will win the league then? Find out soon...
I am so excited for that post!!!

A bitter end

It's 7am on the day before the final game of the season. A phone rings in the Holst household

Korbinian Holst: 'Hello? Mr Gruber is that you? Sorry, I'm not used to waking up this early.'

Seigmund Gruber (Chairman of LASK Linz): 'Football never sleeps my friend, I've just been a bit stressed that you've seen the headlines'

Holst: 'No Sir, what are they about? I can't see why they'd concern me other than tomorrows big game'

Gruber: 'You may want to have a look my friend, when you do, don't worry, nothing bad will happen. Give me a call back after okay'

Holst: 'Bad?!?! I haven't done anything, what could possibly be so worrying?'

Gruber: 'Just go and have a look, I'll talk this afternoon, as you can imagine I've got plenty of work to attend to'

Holst: 'Yes, of course, see you later Sir.'

Holst turns over to his tablet and scrolls through to the news pages, there, he found something quite worrying.

Looks like you need to hire extra security
MJK: Yeah I'm sure the side will be looking into it xD
