Landon Donovan adds new faces to the coaching staff and other news
Happy Festivus to all in Galaxy Land. In the two weeks that Landon Donovan has been in charge of the galaxy has been real busy. During this time has has added new staff members, signed a key player to an extension and participated in the Re-Entry Draft. Here are some highlights of the past two weeks.
From the beginning of his tenure Donovan has said he was going to keep the coaching staff in place but did say he would add several new faces. Well he has completed the signings of five new faces to the Galaxy and here they are.
On their appointments Donovan said,
"I am really looking forward to working with these five gentlemen and they will be a big part in making the Galaxy great again."
On the player front star midfielder
Mike Magee has decided to sign a contract extension with the club until the end of the 2020 season.
"I am very happy to extend my stay here in LA especially with Landon (Donovan) as the new boss," said Magee when asked about his feelings on the extension.
The 2016 MLS Re-Entry Draft has come and gone for the club. There were no new faces added to the club from it. Assistant Manager David Sarachan reported that there was no talent available in it that warranted a contract. With the reentry draft complete the league now prepares for the 2017 MLS Super Draft that will take place in Omaha on January 12th.
