Mitchell Pavitt's Journey in football Management

I was thrilled to be offered the Roma job because the club were exactly what I was looking for. They were a team with a lot of talent who seriously underperformed last season Finishing 6th In Serie A. They had a lot of good players in the team, like Nainggolan, Strootman, Dzeko and Mohamed Salah to name a few.
The previous Manager left me in a good position, for players but a terrible position for staff as I had no general Coaches what so ever and only one Scout. However, the season prior he also brought in a Wonder Kid from Brazil for £14.75M
and also, hopefully the next Francesco Totti who has also become a major part of my plans for the future

However with all the good news always come bad news as the legend Francesco Totti retired after spending his entire career at the club I offered him a job as my under 18 coach but the club didn’t let him so I had to withdraw meaning after spending his whole career there Mr Totti is no longer with AS Roma.

The previous manager also brought in three defenders on future fees when they were on loan the year prior whilst also selling a few players who were originally in my plans but I still have £45M to spend and nearly 200K on wages to bring in the right players now. I still have plenty to spend and a lot of hope for the team.

This is the new kit that me and a few Designers have made for the next season. The Home kit was inspired by an older Roma kit, I can’t remember the exact season. Where as the away kit is just a re design of the previous seasons away kit. I didn’t have any sponser on the front because that has been some sort of tradition with Roma for the last few seasons.

Since the last update I have brought in two players. Mattia Perin and Karol Linetty from Genoa and Sampdoria respectively. I brought in Perin because we needed more competition in goal because all we had was Alisson, who is pretty good for the Serie A, but I only had Greco the 20 year old 1 star player as a backup and that wasn’t good enough. Unfortunately in the last game of pre-season Perin Broke his Collarbone and is out for 6-7 Weeks.
I also brought in Linetty as a backup for Nainggolan and Strootman in midfield. But after he impressed me a lot during pre-season I might start him as my Box to Box Midfielder with Nainggolan as CAM, I’m still undecided though. I may have over spended on him just a little, I hope he lives upto the price.

The best part of the Pre-Season was when the One and Only Francesco Totti made his glorious return for the club (as a coach) he is going to mainly be an attacking Coach for the main squad as he is terrible at tactics but is obviously a very attacking thinking player before.
I hope he is fine with me Giving his Number 10 to the future of Roma Mattia Compagno the 15 year old Regen who is already my Back up for Edin Dzeko along with Ezequiel Ponce.

As you can see we had an Amazing Pre-Season (he says sarcastically), Originally Losing 4-2 to Liverpool and losing To BMG In Danielle De Rossi’s testimonial. He deserved better than that. We then Drew with Seria C side Terek and lost to Title Contenders Inter before finally drawing again with Serie C side Fondi.
Hopefully we can do better in the league which we are predicted to finish 3rd in.

I am playing a 4-2-3-1 With Preferably a Deep line playmaker Defending and a Box To box Midfielder with a shadow Striker behind. The plan is for Dzeko to knock the ball and hold it back for Nainggolan to run in behind and score as long as a few other players scoring as well.

The first game of the season went underway. With me not being able to name a full bench due to injuries Luckily all my starting players were ok. We kicked off in the first half and not a lot happened until Emerson, who had a fantastic game, did a one two pass with El Shaarawy before crossing into Edin Dzeko to head past the keeper to make it 1-0 Roma after 25 Minutes. We went into half time at that score. It took us until the 61st Minute before we caught them on the counter attack with El Shaarawy having a shot that deflected straight into the path of Radja Nainggolan to make it 2-0 with Nainggolan starting the season as he ended the last one by scoring. However in the 85th Minute Sassuolo got a corner that caught us by surprise by Maxim crossing it near post and Pir Lirola having all the time in the world to slot it pass Allison. At the far post.
Man of the Match Went to Manolas with an 8.0 Rating. With Me handing Debut’s to Linetty, had a pretty good game, and 16year old Mattia Compagno who almost celebrated his 16th Birthday with a goal but only managed to hit the bar. The highlight of match day 1 was at newly promoted Entella who beat Torino 5-1

First Home game in charge for me against the team Entella who won 5-1 last time. I made two changes this game as Gerson came in at CAM replacing Linetty and Bruno peres at right back due to an Injury. The game kicked of and after 15 minutes Entella were looking the more promising as the only just missed a shot from about 20 yards out. That seemed to wake us up as we were poor before then. And then in the 33rd when Bruno Peres run down the right hand side and crossed it in to Diego Perroti who calmly slotted it home to make it 1-0 Roma at half time. We came back out after the break and Emerson made a great run down the left to cross it to the far post where Mohamed Salah slotted home to make it 2-0. Then in the 59th Minute. Caputo made a lot of space and shot from about 30 yards out with no chance of Allison saving it. Making the final score 2-1.
Man of the Match went to Francesco Caputo (Entella) with an 8.3 Rating. And Nainggolan made his 125th appearance for Roma unfortunately couldn’t get a goal after coming very close. With the highlight of the match day coming when Napoli Defeated Inter 2-1. Arsene Wenger was also in attendance apparently looking at Nainggolan who isn’t going anywhere for cheap.

You know I’m not even gonna write about this match because I played it 5 times winning 3 of them and drawing one and every time it crashed and the only time it didn’t crash was this one so I’m just gonna stick with it. Salah and Nainggolan scored
