JACK Aitchison has had a very busy and active last year for being only 16, but the young striker who has made several appearances with the senior team this season is celebrating yet again after signing a three-year contract with the Hoops.

The 16-year-old put pen to paper in Paradise a matter of minutes after landing back in Glasgow after Celtic's 3-2 victory over FC Porto at the Estádio do Dragão in Porto.

The Celtic Youth Academy prospect just turned full-time in February after being part of the St Ninian’s school programme operated by the Hoops and his new contract with the club, which starts today, will take him through to the summer of 2019 at the earliest.

“It’s a massive step up, but I have just tried my hardest and worked my socks off. I’ve just gone full-time after leaving school and if I keep working hard hopefully I can get more chances with the Development Squad."

“At the start it was hard but I’ve been building up my strength and speed. Training with the boys every day has been great but it’s still hard."

“It’s difficult both physically and mentally. You need to think sharper, faster and also do everything else quicker but I think I’m coping okay."

“I was worried it was going to be a big jump but my progression has been okay and I feel better about myself – faster and stronger.”

He added: “It’s a great experience training with the first team and playing alongside them with the Development Squad, but it’s all about playing against first-team players in the league and getting to know the game."

Manager Brendan Rodgers said, "I am very happy to have Jack sign until 2019, he is a great player and all these times he has been called up to the first team he has made a statement, I know the rest of the guys are just as excited over this news and can't wait to see what is next for him."

You can see Jack on Celtic TV in both senior and developmental team action throughout the season.
In depth interview man, will be good to see the lad progress and hopefully become a star for Celtic and Scotland!
Good to see you could keep him. Great prospect for the future
mgriffin2012 He is going to be massive, I can feel it

redvee35 I wanted to tie him up before the teams down south got word of him

Tyler Turner who has been with us for the past three weeks has signed a four-year deal with the club. After impressing both staff and player the 20-year-old American full back is now part of the Celtic family. After passing both a medical and gaining his work permit Tyler will be able to continue with the club.

Speaking with Celtic TV Turner had a lot to say, “It is an honour to be a member of Celtic, they are one of the most successful British clubs and being able to represent the United States here is very special.”

“The past three weeks have gone by real fast and I have learned a lot from everyone, I hope that I can make an impact with this team within the next few seasons.”

Turner will have a chance with both the senior and development teams. During his trial, he came off the bench in three matches and had three good games. This along with his work effort was what convinced Chris Davies to sign him.

“Tyler is a very impressive young man and his c.v. backs it up. I feel he will learn a lot here and develop into a leading defender here in Scotland. We were lucky to have signed him as many good American sides were after him as well,” said the very excited Davies.

He is expected to play in the next development squad match in the SPFL Development League against St. Mirren on 22 November. The match from Lennoxtown will be available an hour after the match is completed and will be shown only on Celtic TV.
Nice to see Tina signing for the club!
I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking of Tina Turner. Let's hope Tyler is 'Simply The Best.' ;)
Justice and ScottT He will be a star like Tina haha

Scottish Premiership: Matchday 12
Kilmarnock 0-7 Celtic

Moussa Dembele on 18 Nov 19:30
The Frenchman talks about his great day, his first cap with France and other things.

"Moussa I want to be the first to congratulate you on your first cap as well as goals with France, how does it feel to get such an opportunity as that, especially in a World Cup Qualifier?"

"It feels amazing and to get a chance to represent my country is special and being able to score two goals is even better, I want to thank Didier Deschamps for allowing me to play and Brendan for making me a player good enough to represent my country. It is something I will remember the rest of my life"

"This was a crazy match for you and your teammates, where did it come from?"

"To be completely honest we knew a game like this would come sooner than later, the way the previous matches and training sessions have went we knew a high scoring game would happen."

"You have scored two goals in a game again for the sixth time this season, is it getting frustrating not to get a hat-trick?"

"Well, yeah it is but I have had a few games of three goals in a game, I would say having two goals is enough to get this team a victory and I feel just as valued creating chances for the guys."

"We saw your face tonight when Erik Sviatchenko got his first goal today and it was full of delight, what were you thinking?"

"I couldn't believe it, Erik is a quality player but a goalscorer he is not, the shot he took was so wide open I couldn't believe how easy it was. I was the first person he saw to celebrate with so I was overjoyed."

"It seems that you have gotten out of that goalless streak, what do you think changed it?"

"Training was the key, the coaches kept seeing that I was rushing my shot and not taking my time, we focused a lot on concentration and I am starting to slow down my pace and it has helped."

"How have you enjoyed this team so far a few months since joining?"

"Everyone is great and we all get along well, to me Scott (Sinclair) and Tom (Rogic) have been the key to my success her, the three of us just link up well."

"How prepared are you for the upcoming match against Leicester City?"

"I think I am mentally ready for the match and so is the rest of the team. We need to have a good game and not make the same mistakes as before and make sure we can secure a spot in the knockout round."

"Thanks for taking time out after the match and congrats on another great day!"

"Thank you!"
Dembele is a star in the making, poor Kilmarnock found out the hard way.
Turner looks a decent acquisition but I think if Dembele develops at the rate he should this season, you're going to have a job trying to keep hold of him!
ScottT He is something special

mgriffin2012 That will be a fun challenge, if he goes I will want at least 30 million
Fantastic win for you against Kilmarnock. Keep up the great work Rodgers
