Celtic FC: Here We Go Ten In A Row

So, as you all know I am a massive Celtic fan and have been wanting to do a Celtic save along with my Paris one. You might think damn dude two stories at once, you are crazy! Well I am planning on having my PFC story have post on MWFSu and Celtic on TuThSa so that I can organize and space everything out. What is funny back in FM14 I had a PFC and Celtic save go along with each other.

Ok yeah I get it but come on man Celtic is easy and the SPFL is a joke so why?? The main goal is to become a Champions League Powerhouse and try to recreate what the Lisbon Lions had back in 67. Also, my goal is 10 league titles in a row, more titles than Rangers and more.

I will be Brendan Rogers and have the game’s rosters started at the beginning of 2016/17 with first window transfers off. I want this to feel as close to the current season as possible.

I hope you all enjoy this story even if you detest Celtic as this is going to be a very fun save.

Ronny Deila: Celtic manager to leave club in summer

Ronny Deila is to quit as Celtic manager at the end of the season, with the Scottish Premiership leaders saying it was the Norwegian's decision.

Neil Lennon, who Deila succeeded in 2014, has already said he would welcome a return to the Scottish champions.

News of Deila's exit comes three days after a Scottish Cup semi-final defeat by city rivals Rangers at Hampden.

"There have been some disappointments and times when we have not achieved what we had hoped for," he said.

"I'm realistic and honest enough to admit that."

Lennon is a free agent after leaving English Championship side Bolton Wanderers but is not the only potential candidate.


Republic of Ireland assistant manager Roy Keane has been mentioned as a possible replacement, while two other former Celtic players - David Moyes and Malky Mackay - have not distanced themselves from the job in recent weeks.

Deila, who arrived from Stromsgodset in his homeland, claimed in February that he would never quit Celtic.

He led them to the title and League Cup last season and they currently lead the Scottish Premiership by eight points from Aberdeen with five games remaining.

However, Celtic have had two disappointing European campaigns, failing to reach the Champions League group stage in consecutive seasons and finishing bottom of their Europa League pool this term.

Deila's position had attracted increasing speculation, especially in the wake of the cup defeat by Rangers.

"It is vital that the club comes first and, instead of me being the focus, hopefully now the team and the club can be the focus as we enter this final important period of the season," the 40-year-old told the club's website.

"It was an absolute privilege to be named manager of Celtic, such a wonderful football club, and I have enjoyed my time here immensely.

"There have been some great times and I am delighted that we have brought some trophies to the club."

Deila said he now wanted to focus on securing Celtic a fifth successive league title before leaving the Glasgow club.


Celtic chairman Ian Bankier said Deila was "a fine man with strong values of honesty and integrity".

"He has had some success, which we have enjoyed, and I know all our fans will back Ronny and the players as he looks to bring us more success in the shape of a second league title," he said.

"We are all Celtic supporters and we all know that there can be disappointments in football, but I know Ronny is a man who has given his very best to the job and someone who will always care passionately about the club.


"The club, as always, will give Ronny our full support until the end of the season. We will then make a decision regarding our next manager with the objective of remaining Scotland's pre-eminent club."

Celtic chief executive Peter Lawwell added: "Ronny has given everything to Celtic during the past two years and we thank him for his contribution to the club.

"He is a man of real humility, someone of tremendous character, and I personally wish him nothing but success for the future."

Stiliyan Petrov urges Celtic to make legend Henrik Larsson their next manager

Stiliyan Petrov has urged Celtic to appoint club legend Henrik Larsson as Ronny Deila’s replacement in the Parkhead hot-seat.

Concerned by performances, results and dwindling crowds, the former Celtic and Aston Villa midfielder midfielder admitted he was happy to see the end of
Deila’s failed reign after the Scottish champions confirmed on Wednesday the Norwegian is leaving at the end of the season.

Larsson turned down the Celtic job two years ago and the 44-year-old is currently enduring a tough time in charge of Helsingborg, who are 13th in the 16-team Swedish Allsvenskan after four games.

But Petrov believes the Swede, who scored an astonishing 242 goals for Celtic between 1997 and 2004, can work his magic in Glasgow’s east end and has the star quality to pack out Parkhead on a regular basis once more.

‘I hope Henrik Larsson is Celtic’s new manager,’ said Petrov, who played alongside the striker during his own time at Parkhead from 1999 to 2006.

‘Is he going to be offered it? Is he going to take it? I really hope so. I would love to see him get the Celtic job and I think everyone would feel that way, too.

‘It would be a good challenge for Henrik and an honour for him, too. I think he is ready for the Celtic job this time around. I definitely feel it’s time for Henrik Larsson.

‘As someone who is a former Celtic player, and still a Celtic fan, I really hope they turn to Henrik — and that he will say yes.

‘I think the Celtic fans would love having someone like Henrik, with all of his experience at Celtic and in big games in European football. He’s got great contacts and he’s got a winning mentality. The stadium has been empty recently but Henrik would definitely fill it up again. There would be no empty Celtic Park with Henrik Larsson back there.’

Petrov would like to see Deila leave quickly to give a new manager as much time as possible to bed in for a baptism of fire in the Champions League qualifiers.

‘The board have made a decision and I am happy with that,’ said the 36-year-old former Bulgarian international, who is now retired.

‘He’s going at the end of the season but will that be enough time for the new manager to give him some time to rebuild? I think getting a manager in quickly and giving him the best possible chance that he can have to build his own team would be good.

‘It’s a big year for Celtic, with the Champions League qualifiers and Rangers back in the Premiership from next season.

‘The new manager should get as much time as possible to prepare because it’s massive to have Champions League qualifiers as your first games in charge.

‘And this season is especially big because Celtic have missed out on reaching the group stages in the last two seasons.

‘If I remember correctly, (Parkhead chief executive) Peter Lawwell said Celtic need to be in the Champions League at least once every three years. So they need to make sure they get there next season — and to do that they need to make sure they get in the right man.’

Deila was once described by Lawwell as a ‘builder of teams’ but Petrov saw no evidence of that during the Norwegian’s ill-fated time in charge. The lack of progress was brought home to him as Mark Warburton’s Rangers played Celtic off the park in Sunday’s William Hill Scottish Cup semi-final.

Petrov believes the Celtic board missed a huge chance to outgrow Rangers while their rivals worked their way up the leagues post- liquidation in 2012. And the Bulgarian now believes Celtic need to top whatever Rangers spend in the summer transfer window if they are to guard against the prospect of the Scottish title going to Ibrox next season.

‘I thought with Rangers not being in the top league Celtic would have done their best to make sure that the gap would be even bigger when they came back,’ said Petrov. But watching the Old Firm game on Sunday I couldn’t see that gap — and that was the most frustrating thing.

‘Have Celtic spent well? Very doubtful. Have they built? I’m not sure about that.’

CELTIC Football Club is delighted today to announce Brendan Rodgers as the new Celtic manager. Brendan has agreed a 12-month rolling contract with the Club.

Brendan (43) is one of Europe's most respected names in football management and has previously held managerial positions at Liverpool, Swansea, Reading and Watford.

New Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers said: "I am absolutely delighted to be named Celtic manager. This is genuinely a huge honour for me. I have followed Celtic all my life and to be given this fantastic opportunity and to be part of such a truly great football club is a dream come true.

THE Brendan Rodgers Revolution will officially get underway in Slovenia after Celtic today confirmed they would head to Central Europe for their pre-season tour.

Based in the Slovenia, the Scottish champions will square-up to four teams over the space of 10 days as the new Hoops boss prepares his squad for the upcoming campaign, which will begin with the crucial UEFA Champions League qualifiers in mid-July. Including a trip to Bulgaria.

The Irishman’s first game in the dugout will take place on Thursday, June 30, when the Bhoys face NK Celje, who finished fifth in the Slovenian top flight, at the Arena Petrol (KO: 19.45 local time).

On Sunday, July 3, Brendan Rodgers will then take his team the short distance across the border to meet three-time Austrian side SV Mattersburg in the Pappelstadion (KO: 17.30 local time).

Three days later (Wednesday, July 6), Celtic will travel to the Slovenian capital Ljubljana to take on current title-holders Olimpija Ljubljana in the Stozice Stadium (KO: 19.45 local time).

The Hoops will conclude their tour against NK Maribor on Saturday, July 9, in the Ljudski vrt – the same ground where Celtic met The Purples in the UEFA Champions League play-off two years ago (KO 19.00 local time).

After the trip to Eastern Europe the Bhoys will be back in Glasgow for two more preseason matches. The first match will take place on Saturday, July 16 for a 3:00 kickoff against Czech side FK Dukla Praha, Four days later (Wednesday, July 20th)

Celtic will then participate in the 2016 International Champions Cup with two matches in the competition against English side Manchester City (Saturday, July 23rd) and Internazionale (Saturday, July 30th), times are still to be determined.

All kick off times are still subject to change.
