FIFA World Cup 2022 Semi Finals

The Dutch duo of James de Bakker and Sybe Gillan-van der Putten had played their roles in a very impressive Holland side, who had marched to the semi finals of the FIFA World Cup. They were just one game away from reaching the final and Belgium stood in their way. Could they topple the European giants?

Semi Finals

Holland Recorded A Narrow Victory Over Belgium In The Semi Finals

Nany Dimata had given Belgium a very early lead, and they were defiant in a first half which saw Holland trailing going in to the half-time interval. However, the Dutch came straight out of the blocks and produced attack-after-attack. Sybe Gillan-van der Putten was instrumental in their comeback, providing Davy Pröpper with a superb long range through ball, with the latter tucking home Holland's deserved equalising goal. Holland were on the up, and pushed for a winner. Michael van Oeveren provided the Dutch with the winning goal, lashing home a fierce volley to send Holland to the World Cup final, where they will face fierce rivals Germany.

FIFA World Cup 2022 Final

The game we have all been waiting for! Just ninety minutes, and whatever follows, to decide who would be crowned world champions. We had two of our own competing in the final, in the orange of Holland. James de Bakker and Sybe Gillan-van der Putten had come a long way as players, and were set to compete on the grandest stage of them all.

The Final

Joël Piroe Bagged A Hat Trick As Holland Ran Riot In The Final

Neither of our players started, with James de Bakker coming off the bench. Anyway.... WOW! Joël Piroe smashed it in the final, scoring a tremendous hat trick in a very one-sided game. Congratulations to James de Bakker & Sybe Gillan-van der Putten for winning the FIFA World Cup, it'll be a big boost to your points for the season!

1
Congrats to Holland.
Nice. Worries about my team's safety, but great to see some world cup winners amongst us.

Overall, it was a fantastic season. Six players broke the 200 points mark, with just three people scoring below 100. Ten people saw their points tallies grow from the previous season, showing just how far everybody has come along.

Here is a look at the points accumulated by each team over the course of the sixth season. You can find the point calculator in one of my earlier posts on this thread. If you have any queries over your team's points, please ask me via Private Message.

So, it is now time where the team with the lowest number of points will be eliminated. There's no denying it, a huge slice of luck does come in to place now. You could be lucky and be part of a team which wins everything, or you could be unlucky and be injured for the whole season.

Congratulations to Thomas Murray (InfraRed) & Zlatanovic Pogbadinho (Justice) for winning the most points, as a team, in the sixth season! Both players ranked inside the top two for points, individually, and will receive potential ability boosts ahead of the next season.

Unfortunately, one team does have to drop out at this stage. Commiserations to Cathal Moran (Cathal Mufc) & Wayne Kerr (GleNelG) for being that team. You will no longer be a part of this competition, but once it is over I will show how each player who played part got on in their entire career. Who knows, maybe your players will one day win the Ballon d'Or!
Nice seeing James play in the final. Now having a Eredivisie title and KNVB beker, two times champion of England and world champion. Has to be my break trough season.
Well, surprised I haven't won anything yet a Barcelona, at least it's a positive to see that Jasso is now a World-Class CB. And the way it looks, Scott needs the move to Chelsea. We really need to go up in points to stay in the competition.
MilesPlaysFM, look again, Fabien Jasso won the Copa del Ray with Barca....
Ah, didn't see that. Good to see he's finally getting some silverware.
