That is a sad day that Dziubek left the club. You made a lot on the sale, which secured the future for Gretna, but it still hurts. One wonders if your patchy form (2/10 wins to end the season) might have been reversed by one of his miracle goals (although you were some way off the 4th placed Ibrox crew and unlikely to move up in the standings).

The miracle you have made to make Gretna a mid-table team with the financial restrictions in place is outstanding. You are in Europe every year, have at least one deep cup run (Quarters+), and have a signature victory over a top side. This is really well done and IRL you probably would be considered for the Scotland National Men's Team job for this.

Looking forward to your next few posts covering your last year at Gretna. Weird it has been 10 seasons--the time has flown by!

Good first half of the last season: Semis of the Betfred Cup, Top of your Euro group, and a good recovery to be mid-table in the league. Hopefully you will be able to pull in some silverware your final season, despite the financial hardships.

FM Gamer, it got a little dusty in the room as I was reading the final post. It was a nice trip down memory lane with some people (Will Mannion! Glenn Hancock!) that were big for a time but moved on. It was good to see how well you did for little Gretna and how well they were established now compared to the start. I was excited with your two Cup Final's runs and had hoped they would have turned out differently.

This has been my favorite story on this site, including the ones I did, and I hope you do another story on FM21 after you take some well deserved time away from the game.

Cheers pal! Yeah it was fun looking back at seasons and the players we had. I was tempted to put the save out there but now FM21 is out people won't bother.
