when will GenieScout11 come out??

For those who cannot wait until FM Scout is released:

- Download and install FMRTE Beta for fm2011
- Open your savegame in FM2011 and go to search players
- remove all filters
- go to the shortlist tab and press save
- open FMRTE and press 'load game'
- go to the shortlist button and open your previoustly saved shortlist

Here you can see almost everything you also see in fm scout (go do something else for half an houre, because the loading whill take a while!)

Thats a pretty good idea and certainly helps pick out some targets...But, doesnt the number of players you see on player search depend on how good your scouting is?
So not all the potential gems out there would be uncovered...

For now, the search function in FMTRE should do fine..
It's a bit trickier to get a good overview, but it's basically the same...?

I don't get why all this should be necessary. Just use the filters in the search-function in the RT editor and you can basicly find what you want.
E.g.:
I wanna find a free-transfer guy with pot. 120+ from Denmark with finishing 11+.
Put that into the editors search filter and you'll get a list.

I have done as you said and I have 100 messages per day in transfer season Although i delete the shortlist i created still i am getting the messages is tehere any way of disabling these massages?

You need to remove all the players from your subscriptions. Go to manager overview - news - manage subscriptions and then remove the players. Fortunately this year theres a select all button... Last year you would have had to remove all those subscriptions one by one

# stam : I got a reply from Eugene. Apparently, he is unable to follow this model because he would have to face lawsuits from SI. This means he cannot actually sell Genie Scout because it's using the FM brand.

I already said he had attempted that in the past, but he had to stop because SI threatened him... so he refunded all the money he received losing a lot in the transaction fees as well.

As a result, the only way to go is through voluntary donations.

This, sadly, throws the only 'sure' way of keeping Genie 'released on time' out the window. Shame.

I'm well aware of this, it's what I've been doing in the past while waiting for Genie and what I'm doing currently. But put it simple FMRTE can't be compared with Genie when it comes to speed of research/scouting/shortlists etc, intuitive accessibility to menu options that perform those functions as well as the smooth/fast responsiveness of the application itself (I'm putting the emphasis on speed and functionality), hence the hype-talk about Genie as it's THE tool in my book when it comes to anything/everything related to scouting. Furthermore, the way Genie feels 'light' during use makes it all more pleasant to use it, while FMRTE seems like I need to whip it for it to 'listen' to me and runs on my i5 rig like Crysis on a PC 386 (note the sarcasm..)

In my opinion, FMRTE will never substitute FMscout, because the player searching and forecasting fuction of FMscout is more more better than FMRTE. Actually I only use FMRTE to fix injury, and when I want to scout players, FMscout is my first choice.

# kraex : Most likely you're looking at weeks. This isn't a priority for Eugene anymore and the updates are slow. Unfortunately, no one else has come up with a comparable program, so you're sort of stuck waiting. If you think you can do it better, there are guides on how to create your own scout program.

Is there anything new about the new version of Genie Scout ?

I am watching this forum for a long time now. Finally I decided to register myself here. A maybe weird question;

Eugene is maker from Genie Scout right? Why I never see him post here but only messaging through Stam?

I'd kill a bus of nuns to have genie scout I cant wait for it!

To be honest it's doing my head in waiting for this hahaha!
I've tried and failed so many times to start a game without genie scout.

Any release date info?
