Whilst waiting in anticipation for genie scout 2011 to locate the cheap hidden gems within the game I was wondering if anyone had come across any so far?
I'm playing as Newcastle and have a really limited budget so have had to resort to trawling the leagues to locate some squad members.
looking through the leagues the Belarus and Swedish leagues look to have a few bargain buys available although work permit issues (and the fact the board can't seem to find a suitable feeder team to help solve this (thanks Mike!))have stopped me signing a few of the better ones.
My best find to date is Ihar Shitov he's 24 and can play anywhere across the back four and DMC at a push. he cost £190k from BATE and he's outperformed every other member of my defence averaging 7.38 after 13 games.
Anyone else came across some bargains so far????

for me a bargain would be alexis sanchez, who will eventually be offered during the first 2-3 months(i got him for 8mil).
Free is the best,mate. There's a palyer named Rios (DMC) from SouthAmerica, contract expiring winthin 6 moths when you start game. Low wage and free for transfer.
I know most of you don't play Polish leagues but there is Paraquayan left winger called Fernando Ismael Rodriguez Morales who just plays superbly in my Niecicza save.He is for free in the first season.

If you are still in the Championshiop and need a Striker - Leigh Griffiths at Dundee. Available for around £400k - £600k and is scoring at a rate of a goal every 1.8 games for me in the Champ.
Marko Livaja(16 years old,ex Hajduk Split) is probably best free player in game!
Also this guy is wonderkid!
Nemanja Pejcinovic (Serbia), a great DC, starts at a loan so you'd probably have to wait for a season for him to get released from the stupid loan.
Tomas Horava (Czech), MC/AMC, just paid 400k for him.
Lerato Chabangu (South Africa), ST, very fast, assign him a trequartista role and watch him do wonders, you'll get him for maybe 300k, had 28 goals in the first season.
Cléo, a Brazilian playing in FC Partizan right now, he's a bit expensive - 6mil, but he's great in FM11.
Henning Hauger, a cheap Norwegian playmaker. Also you can check out Hamed Kavianpour, also a nice (although a bit old) Iranian playmaker.
A couple of promising talents from Serbia: Slavko Perovic (ST), Vujadin Savic (DC), Tomic Nemanja (AMR/C), Nemanja Bilbija (ST) - Bosnian hot prospect for the future.
Also, Emmanuel Banahene (Ghana) and Idan Vered (Israel) - great and cheap AMLs.

are the best players i have signed for free also you may be able to get affelay aswell i missed out but you can best way to look is, go on player search expiring contracts and declare interest in the player to get him unsettled and when the time comes click on approach to sign works for me
Watch out with signing Marko Livaja, he was not allowed to play football for like 1-2 years when I bought him :S Not sure why though..
I bought some guy named Sayed Adnan Mohamed Sayed for like 170k with my FC Groningen save and he's actually a quite decent defender. His value increased to 2,6m after the first season
Also I bought Ouasim Bouy from Ajax U19's and he has an amazing potential, but I might've been lucky with his PA..
kevin (zaragoza), alan patrick (santos), dodo (corinthians) these players are really bargains. kevin and alan patrick are attacking and central midfielders, buy them both and they can become future's xavi-iniesta duo. dodo is a left back and has only 1.5M euro release clause.
there's also juan iturbe (AM R/L). now forgot his club but he's argentinian and he's a proper bargain, too.
Stojkic,Ibriks,Maglica and Milicevic from FC Osijek are great players for low price,also Oremus,Strinic(INT),Anas Sharbini(INT) and Vukusic from FC Hajduk are too good for their price.
How about Michael Rensing? I'm almost sure you can get him as a free transfer in the beginning of season 1.

Signed Arnold Bruggink for Scunthorpe on free transfer. Was immense for the two seasons I had him. Played in CM as advanced playmaker. Scored heaps and was top of the charts for assists and MOTM in the division 2 seasons running. Only released him after he got us promoted, sorry Arnold.
Also signed Lavaja but he was banned so didn't arrive till my 3rd season. Now he's unhappy because he doesn't start every game and has disrupted the whole dressing room. Mutual termination is looking tempting..
