I would like to tell you about my experience with Wavlink extender setup, which I recently got to increase the coverage of my home network. I noticed that many people have issues during installation, so I decided to share the setup process. It was very easy to set it up once I found the right steps.
This is what I did:
1. First, you should plug in the Wavlink extender to a power source near the router.
2. Next, you will have to connect to the extender’s Wi-Fi network that is set by default (usually named “Wavlink-N” or something similar).
3. After that, open a web browser and type in either wifi.wavlink.com or 192.168.10.1.
4. Now, you will have to log in with the default username and password (refer to your manual).
5. The site will then guide you through the setup wizard where the extender will be connected to your main Wi-Fi.
6. Once configured, move the extender, so it is halfway between the router and the area with weak signal.
My Wi-Fi after installation was greatly improved and there were no dead zones anymore!
In case anyone is experiencing disconnection, or issues with logging into the Wavlink setup page, please do not hesitate to reply to this post. I have done most of the common fixes and can assist you with troubleshooting.
