Yeah that was their youth team! You don't seem to have got much for those players, worst (hardest) part of Fm imo, selling players

I desperately needed to offload players, especially because i had signed some youngsters which i wanted to field. I could have sold them more, but desperation got the better of me!

I was in that situation with man united. I had to let valencia go for 8m and carrick for 2
Wow. How do you keep getting these bargains? Enjoying the story by the way.
#45348 Ezekiel_87 : Jan Vertonghen for only 4.2 milion? lucky you...

Yeah man..i was very happy with that deal!
#45390 Sundown82 : Yeah...lucky him.

Good story, but pure pure make believe fiction

Haha, fiction...and good management :P

Thanks man. Well i keep scouting and re-scouting people. The scout tells you how much they should be available for. Also you have to bargain hard, and sometimes just let go. If they are not accepting offers, withdraw and try again in 2 months or so.

Also i have a theory that smaller clubs get sold players for cheaper. Bigger players come for cheaper as the other club knows we cant afford more. Thats just my theory anyways

A decent home game, with a good score. We didnt create as many chances as i would have liked, but the it was a good scoreline. Im glad Nistelrooy is scoring too, hopefully he can keep it up for the rest of the season!

We were completely over-run. United spent long periods camped in our half, toying with us, like a predator does with her prey before a kill. But the kill never came. We stood resolute and subsequently they couldnt break us down again. We were very fortunate with Anderson's sloppy penalty miss though!

A great win for us in out first ever European game. I must admit, i did go out with a defensive approach, but this was our first European game, i didnt know what to expect, or how the players would handle it. But they did very well and gave us our first victory in Europe and that too away from home!

We played some brilliant football today, and should have been 4 up before half time. I cannot believe the strikers missed such sitters. Either way though, we played well and fully deserved out win. Another 3 points in the bag

A good Carling Cup victory, and it was nice to knock out Man City in the early stages. They played well, as did we, and it was a tightly contested match, but we triumphed, with a great performance from Gyan. It was unfortunate that he got injured. Early reports suggest that its a pretty bad one!

Injury Update

Asamoah Gyan out for 4 months with a broken foot

What the HELL was that?!? Yes we were away from home. Yes Liverpool are a good team. But to play over 70 minutes against a 10 man team, to miss a penalty, and then have the audacity to not score and let Liverpool play their football is unacceptable. I am FURIOUS!!
I see you took my advice and bought Vertonghen

Yeah he was one of many i scouted, and the main reason i bought him was the price. Lets see how he gets on though
