A good game where we created a fair few chances. Blackburn looked dangerous on the break, but werent good enough to actually break us down. We held firm and secured a win to take us to the next round

Unbelievable!! I cant believe we won this. I was expecting us to put up a good fight, and maybe, just maybe, grab a draw, but certainly not a win. But my did the boys perform today. They played their hearts out and never let United settle. Vaughan was sublime in the middle and truly deserved his man of he match award. I really hope we can continue to perform like this at home, and make it a fortress!!
Good luck for the season mate, You have made some shrewd young signing with future in mind and results have been brilliant for you imo, I am sure you are gonna take Sunderland to a new level. Cheers
Nicely done! 4-2 against ManU!
Also, Ji-Dong-Won, 90+5 minutes... Sunderland Vs Man city much? XD

Thanks! I was delighted with the Man Utd result. Lol hopefully we can replicate that 90+5 minute result against Man City in my game!!

Not a bad performance away from home. Anfield is a difficult location to play at, but the team didnt get intimidated and played some good football. We had the better chances though and i think if we had pushed a little harder we could have won! But what was annoying was the two injuries sustained during the match. I will have to wait for the physios report to see how bad things actually are.

Injury Update

Felipe Anderson out for 6 weeks with strained knee ligaments

Danny Welbeck out for 6 weeks with strained knee ligaments

These injuries pose a massive blow to the team. Felipe Anderson is a brilliant playmaker, and Welbeck a big thorn in the oppositions defence. With them both injured, we will have an interest 2 months ahead of us!

Fulham may have had more shots, but we made the better chances. Not only did we make chances, we made them count, and that was pleasing to see. Kadlec was great up front, and I cant wait to have Bendtner back to partner him. Current he is lacking a partner to link with!

An easy win in which we dominated the game. We had the home advantage and used it well. Another home win which means we continue our undefeated spout at home, and in the Premier League
Nice wins :)

Injury Update

Bramble out for 4 weeks with a sports hernia
