Chelsea Revolution

I have decide to start a save with Chelsea Football Club. My aim with Chelsea is to build a new 'desperately needed' squad. I want to create a successful winning squad by utilising the youth players and without spending every penny Roman Abramovich has. I understand that this could
take 2,3 or even 4 seasons to accomplish.

The real question is whether I will still be in charge after any unsuccessful seasons?



I released the majority of my backroom staff, many of them were useless and it was a step towards reducing the club wage bill.



I decided to take a gamble in the summer transfer window and not sign anyone. But I also sold 4 'older' players and managed to bring in just over £16,000,000.



I have promoted several reserve and youth players to the first team squad:-

GK - Jamal Blackman (3rd Choice GK)
CB - Nathaniel Chalobah (4th Choice CB) 4* Potential
DM - Oriol Romeu (2nd Choice DM) 3* Potential
CM - Conor Clifford (5th Choice CM)
AML - Milan Lalkovic (2nd Choice AML) 3* Potential
AMR - Daniel Sturridge (1st/2nd Choice AMR)
ST - Romelu Lukaku (3rd Choice ST) 4* Potential

I had a great pre season, winning all friendly matches.

I am 5 games into the Premiership, played 1 Champions League game and also the 3rd round of the League Cup.



I will update after each FM month. My updates will be more in depth as the season goes on.

I think there is a fee involved whether you 'terminate' or 'mutually terminate' their contract. It would be nice to be able to sack staff for free if they have only been at the club for a short space of time. I released roughly 25 staff so god knows how much that cost!

I want my team to play short passing football, while pressing more when we don't have the ball. I also want to it be difficult for opposition teams to break us down.

It's nice to see the future of Chelsea doing well.

I have set up my reserve and youth teams to use the same tactics as the first team squad. I want every level of player coming through the club to play the same way. This will hopefully make it easier when introducing younger players.

Transfer Update



I have opened initial talks with Barcelona about the potential signing of Sergio Busquets.

I do have John Obi Mikel and Oriol Romeu but Mikel has a terrible attitude towards me. Whenver I give a team talk he is unhappy, whenever I praise or criticise the team he is unhappy. I won't sign or sell any player for the sake of it but he seems to be the only player who I'm having problems with. Not 100% sure of what to do regarding this.
