I think I will wait until the end of the season to make a decision on John Obi Mikel. He is putting in some good displays at the moment. I have been keeping an eye Michael Essien, it looks as though he will need a lot of time to get back to fitness when he recovers from injury.

Transfer Update

I have signed 17 year old dutch striker Anass Achahbar from Feyenoord for £2,000,000. He came highly recommeded from my dutch scout. The transfer will go through on 1st January 2012 and he will go straight into my U18 squad.

Back to back defeats in the Premiership really annoyed me. Manchester United are on a rampage this season and will take some stopping. 2 good wins in the Champions League and a League Cup qtr final win was nice. Some of the younger players are doing well when called upon i.e Jamal Blackman, Ryan Bertrand, Josh McEachran, Conor Clifford, Milan Lalkovic and Romelu Lukaku.

You can see what the back to back defeats have done to my league position but it's still early days.

I have opened initial talks with Barcelona about the potential signing of Sergio Busquets.

I do have John Obi Mikel and Oriol Romeu but Mikel has a terrible attitude towards me. Whenver I give a team talk he is unhappy, whenever I praise or criticise the team he is unhappy. I won't sign or sell any player for the sake of it but he seems to be the only player who I'm having problems with. Not 100% sure of what to do regarding this.

Dont worry about it too much mate. He will be demotivated like that for a while, but once youve played till November or so, whilst winning the majority of your games, he will become far more positive.

One thing is important though, do not change your style as a manager. If it doesnt agree with one player, then so be it. I had the same problem on my Man Utd save. I bought Tevez for £6mil and for the first he months he was a nightmare! But i played him, gave him regular chances, kept on praising the team when they one, motivating or shouting when we were doing bad, and within a couple of months he loved me.

So just stick in their. No need to sell him just because of that.

What i would suggest though is buying some players. You are in need of a decent right back, some out and put wingers and possibly even a class striker to partner Torres upfront. I know you have Drogba, Anelka and Sturridge, but Anelka and Drogba are ageing and you need someone who can help carry your team forward too.

I would suggest buying:

RB - Sime Vrsaljko (immense young player who can hit the ground running. He can also play LB and DM)
RW - Hulk (he can also play as a striker so may be pretty useful)
CF - Cavani (he can play RW and will defo be able to carry you team foreward! A must buy in my opinion)

GK - Ander-ter Stegen (a great young prospect. I know you have Cech, but he may be prone to getting complacent as there is no competition for a 1st team spot. Buying Stegen means you will get the best out of Cech as well as having an awesome replacement keeper)

You say buy ter stegen but what about courtios who is out on loan at atletico madrid

GK - I have Thibaut Courtois and Matej Delac to return at the end of the season. I am also bringing through Jamal Blackman.

RB - Sime Vrsaljko is very good prospect and I have been scouting him. I am also keeping tabs on Kyle Walker, who is the reserves at Tottenham, and a French U21 player called Sebastien Corchia.

AMR - Needs addressing, either in January or definately next summer. Hulk would cost about £25,000,000 and I'm trying to be cautious with the cash. I have been scouting Marco Reus, James Rodriguez and Gerard Deulofeu.

ST - Edinson Cavani is a brilliant striker but, the price tag of £30,000,000 is what's putting me off.

I don't want to spend money like Chelsea have in the past. If this way of doing things blows up in my face then so be it, but I'd like to take a different approach when it comes to signing players.

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

Chelsea will play Shakhtar Donetsk in the first knockout round

I signed Reus on my Newcastle game and I highly recommend him. If you instruct him to get to the byline and cross from there, I think you will have some success. He's a pretty good finisher too, so he will score you a few hopefully. His weakness though is his crossing at just 10 or 12, something like that, so don't ask him to cross from deep, because it won't be accurate enough.

That said, I've been playing him on the left, so he can cut inside, which has helped his goal tally.

Liking this story alot! you should definitely try to sign Gerard Delfeou he's a great player!

If you need a striker I would advise buying Seydou Doumbia normally costs about £18m.
Also for right winger wait until end of first season and Di Maria is normally transfer listed so get him.
