Barclays Premier League

Chelsea 3 - 1 Tottenham Hotspur

4-3-3
Cech, Ivanovic, Luiz, Terry, Cole, Mikel, Lampard, Ramires, Kalou, Mata, Torres

Subs Used - Meireles, Sturridge

Man of the match - Fernando Torres

Great result in the London derby. Fernando Torres grabbed two goals and Salomon Kalou got the other one. This was our first league game of the season against one of the 'big' teams.
Barclays Premier League

Chelsea 4 - 0 Manchester City

4-3-3
Cech, Ivanovic, Luiz, Terry, Cole, Mikel, Lampard, Ramires, Kalou, Mata, Torres

Subs Used - Drogba, Sturridge, Vrsaljko

Man of the match - Fernando Torres

To beat a fellow title challenger like this was incredible. All four goals came from Fernando Torres, who is in amazing form at the moment. Another clean sheet just topped off a great team performance.
UEFA Champions League - Group G - Matchday Three

Chelsea 0 - 1 Bayer Leverkusen

4-3-3
Cech, Vrsaljko, Cahill, Terry, Cole, Mikel, Meireles, Ramires, Sturridge, Malouda, Drogba

Subs Used - Romeu, Felipe Anderson

Man of the match - Michael Ballack (Bayer Leverkusen)

Very disappointed with the result. I made a couple of changes to try and keep the players fresh but Bayer Leverkusen played well and fully deserved the three points. We are now second in the group.
Barclays Premier League

Everton 0 - 0 Chelsea

4-3-3
Cech, Ivanovic, Luiz, Terry, Cole, Mikel, Lampard, Ramires, Kalou, Mata, Drogba

Subs Used - Sturridge, Meireles

Man of the match - Tim Howard (Everton)

We were lucky to come away with a draw. The only positive was that we kept a clean sheet. I had to rest Fernando Torres who picked up a slight knock in the Manchester City game.

Barclays Premier League

Norwich City 1 - 0 Chelsea

4-2-3-1
Cech, Vrsaljko, Chalobah, Terry, Bertrand, Felipe Anderson, Ramires, Kalou, Mata, Malouda, Torres

Subs Used - Sturridge, Drogba

Man of the match - Kyle Naughton (Norwich City)

I decided to play a really attacking formation and use a few youngsters. It blew up in my face big time. Norwich played well and we maybe underestimated them. We were denied a very late goal which should have stood.
Competition and Results Update

A very slight dip in form, the Norwich result stopped us going three points clear. The youngsters have played in some of the fixtures and have hopefully gained some valuable experience. Looking at the bigger picture though, we have played some brilliant football, achieved some fantastic results and are top of the league.
Chelsea Boardroom News

The board are very pleased with my overall leadership of the team. They have made an extra £20,000,000 available for transfers.
UEFA Champions League - Group G - Matchday Four

Bayer Leverkusen 1 - 2 Chelsea

4-3-3
Cech, Ivanovic, Luiz, Terry, Cole, Mikel, Lampard, Ramires, Kalou, Mata, Torres

Subs Used - Drogba, Meireles

Man of the match - David Luiz

They beat us at Stamford Bridge so we returned the favour. A solid performance, goals from David Luiz and Ramires put us top of the group.
Injury News

Fernando Torres will be out for three weeks after twisting his ankle in the Bayer Leverkusen match.
Barclays Premier League

Chelsea 1 - 1 Swansea City

4-3-3
Cech, Ivanovic, Luiz, Terry, Cole, Mikel, Lampard, Ramires, Kalou, Mata, Sturridge

Subs Used - Malouda, Drogba

Man of the match - Salomon Kalou

Slightly concerned that we couldn't break them down, especially being at home. We had 22 shots and 70% possession but were unable to get the three points. Salomon Kalou scored our goal.
