I finally decided to go along with writing up my FM story with the mighty United, as im writing this i am already 8-9 games into my season but all reports from them games and beyond will be written up. This club has stability however i aim to find the very best young talent to replace to older generation when they move on, that is how i intend to aim my transfer business..i will get the odd 'well known' footballer at a big price but with the current debt situation the club has i thought it would be best to just take it easy with the cash. I hope you enjoy this story of Old Trafford Post SAF.
Pre Season Results

Leyton Orient (A) 3-1
OM (H) 3-0
Atlas (A) 3-2
Antwerp (A) 2-0
Sheff Utd (A) 2-0
Malaga (A) 1-0

A decent pre season with 6 wins out of 6 however would of liked to of seen more goals, the team is trying to familiarise themselves with the formations i have set for the season ahead of 4-4-2 Attack-4-4-2 Support & 4-5-1. Hopefully things will work out & i can be a success and who knows if i get the sack i then get to read though all your successful story's YAY!

This was a very even game with possession at a 50/50 deadlock by full time. By 50mins played City were 2-0 up from Aguero & Silva. Nani scored a poachers effort just 3mins after Silva's strike & by the hour mark we were level through a Rooney Penalty. It went to full time at 2-2 which meant a dreaded penalty shootout. Silva & Toure both missed there spot kicks and it was down to Carrick to hand us the Shield and he did that.

Full Time: 2-2 (United win on Pens)

Newcastle proved to be a tough season opener for us. From a corner Ferdinand put us ahead on 17mins, the opposition pressed and pressed and they got there reward half an hour gone when Papiss Cisse was put through on goal and cudent miss. Just 4mins later we were back in front through Hernandez. We dominated the 2nd half however we could not find that 3rd goal but hang on for the victory.

Stoke is never an easy place to go to & that was the case here. Hernandez put us in front after 34mins but Stoke pressed and pressed and continued to make chances though the 2nd half, we thought we had done a good job by keeping Crouch quiet but they managed the equaliser without his help 7mins from time through Marc Wilson. Understandably i was disappointed with the result as i felt we should of held on.

Full Time: 1-1

Injury Update:Ferdinand missed the draw at Stoke & will also be missing when Swansea visit OT in my next match, however should be available to travel to Craven Cottage.

This was just pure dominance from my team today infront of our home supporters. Wayne Rooney put us ahead 10mins gone and soon after it was 2-0, a Jonny Evans goal from a resulting corner..HIS FIRST EVER GOAL IN UNITED COLOURS!! Leon Britton put the ball in his own net half an hour in & 4-0 came at the stroke of half time courtesy of a Tom Cleverley screamer! The game was already over at this point but Young & Evans 2nd goal of the day added to Swansea's misery. Cleverley was taken off injured 10mins into the 2nd half & Fabio put a small damper on the day when he got a 2nd yellow in injury time & with Evra still not fully fit it made me panic abit. Should also add that Valencia got 4 assists in that game..he's a beauty!

Full Time: 6-0

Jonny Evans (9.4)
Injury Update:Ferdinand & Welbeck are fit again. Cleverley only faces a week on the sidelines with a sprained ankle.

As with Stoke Craven Cottage is no easy ground to come and grab a good result & it started real bad for us, Fulham pressed at us constant thoughout the first half grabbing more chances then they should of had with our standard. We got a lucky break when Hernandez got put through on goal and slotted away 35mins in, and with that goal it seemed to calm us down. 2nd half i got us to retain possession and pass the ball to feet as the first half we had very little possession & ultimately we managed to see the game through.

We started off real well and it payed off when Rooney put us ahead 10mins in, Lille got into the game and at times played us off the park..even after Valencia had put us 2-0 up after half an hour they kept the heat on us and that continued into the second half. Ashley Young got us a 3rd soon after the restart and for the last half hour we calmed the storm, with just under 20mins to go Rooney added his 2nd and United's 4th of the night. The biggest suprise would be managing to keep a clean sheet cause they had there chances.

On paper this is my biggest test in management but in truth we were never really in trouble of slipping up. Antonio Valencia gave us the lead early on with a driving run and a good finish, it was 2-0 7mins later when Lucas somehow put the ball in his own net. Apart from a very good Gerrard chance L'pool never really looked threatening and we sealed the win 5mins from time when Valencia stroked the ball home from close range & a 4th followed soon after by Rooney. BIG WIN BIG 3 POINTS!

Getting a league two side i thought was the perfect way to give some of my highly rated youngsters a run out, only 2 of the starting 11 was over 30 and even then both were subbed for youth later on. Cheltenham were never in the game, 1 or 2 half chances. We took the lead just after the half hour mark with a poachers effort from Michael Owen. We carried on testing the goal but it took till 15mins from time to grab clinch the match and what a goal it was from Fabio drilling the ball from edge of the box into the top right corner. Jones added a 3rd soon after and a 4th was scored in injury time, a Alan Bennett own goal sending us into the 4th round.
