I expected nothing but 3 points from this game and that's exactly what i got. Things didn't start well when Rio Ferdinand was forced off injured, Evans replaced him. Norwich never really offered us any challenge and that showed on the score line just past the half hour when Hernandez was played in to slot home, it was 2-0 soon after the restart & this time is was the ever impressive Valencia what a season he's having. Another goal soon followed soon after, a vicious strike into the bottom left corner by Wayne Rooney & we wrapped things up in stoppage time and it was the guy to open the scoring to also close it Javier Hernandez with his 6th in the league, Anderson had a great game.

Full Time: 4-0

Javier Hernandez (9.1)
Injury News:Rio Ferdinand faces a 6-7 week spell on the sidelines with strained knee ligaments cover should be alright though with Jones, Evans & Smalling all available.
Champions League Group A:Vs LOSC Lille (Away)

Giggs (62)
Young (84)
Rooney
Welbeck

Substitutes: Scholes (62) Nani (84)

We had already secured our place in the last 16 of the champions league however i still fielded a strong side as going to Lille is never easy. We started well and Jonny Evans gave us the lead after the quarter hour mark with a header from Ryan Giggs free kick, it was 2-0 just before half time through Danny Welbeck. Eden Hazard was Lille's main threat and he got a consolation goal in stoppage time to put abit of a damper on the result as we've only managed 1 clean sheet in europe this season. However we top the group with 5 wins out of 5, bring on Shakhtar!

Full Time: 1-2

Eden Hazard (7.8)
Injury News:Rafael has commenced full training and will look to get him involved in a couple of reserve matches with a view of his first team comeback in the Quarter final of the carling cup against Bolton in a couple of weeks time.
Premier League:Vs Wolves (Away)

4-4-2 Attack
De Gea
Jones
Vidic
Evans
Evra
Valencia
Fletcher (64)
Anderson
Nani (90)
Rooney
Welbeck

Substitutes: Scholes (64) Park Ji Sung (90)

I think the final score was abit light on Wolves considering how well we played. The only goal of the day came after 36mins, Anderson continued his fine form with another assist picking out Nani who found himself one on one with Hennessey to cooly slot it past him into the back of the net. It took until the last 5mins or so for Wolves to put us under a little bit of pressure but in the end it counted for nothing and we go 5 clear at the top.

Full Time: 0-1

Nani (7.8)
League Cup Qtr Final:Vs Bolton (Home)

4-4-2 Attack
Lindegaard
Rafael
Smalling
Evans
Fabio
Park Ji Sung
Pogba
Giggs (45)
Barmby (45)
Niang
Berbatov (62)

Substitutes: Anderson (45) Nani (45) Owen (62)

I opted to start Niang ahead of Owen to partner Berbatov aswell as recall Jack Barmby as he impressed in the previous 2 rounds. Things started bad for us when David Ngog put Bolton ahead after 12mins, they dominated the opening stages and it got me thinking have i made a mistake with my selection..we got back into the game but cuden't find a goal in the first half. I brung off Giggs & Barmby and replaced them with Nani + Anderson for the 2nd half and it gave us more energy but still no breakthrough. I made my final sub with just under half an hour to go with Owen replacing the lackluster Berbatov, and it changed things when with under 10mins remaining we were level when Owens cross met a magnificent diving header by Niang. 2mins later Fabio was forced off injured so i was forced to play Nani at left back with Niang in left midfield and Owen up front alone. Into extra time Bolton was the strongest but we got into it more and more and seconds before the end of the first half of extra time Park crossed for Niang who found himself on his own with so much space to get his 2nd of the night and the winning goal to take us through to the semi's!

Full Time: 2-1

Mbaye Niang (9.0)
Premier League:Vs Chelsea (Home)

Cleverley (58)
Young (79)
Rooney
Hernandez

Substitutes: Cleverley (58) Nani (79)

A big game for both teams, for us a chance to go 5 points clear before the rest of the days games & a win for Chelsea to get back into the title race who are already 12 points off top spot. Unfortunately for Chelsea, we performed today! It took just 7mins for Young to take a shot & hit the net off Cech's side. It were 2-0 at the start of the second half, Terry intercepts Rooney only to knock it into the back of his own net..2 own goals not Chelsea's day eh? It got worse soon after when Ashley Young played in Javier Hernandez to hit home his 7th of the season and secure the win for us.

Full Time: 3-0

Ashley Young (9.0)
Breaking News:In the wake of the 3-0 win over Chelsea, United have set a club record of 14 consecutive wins in all competitions!

The final game of the group stages, we had already secured our place in the last 16 & topped the group now we just aimed for one thing..A PERFECT GROUP RUN. Shakhtar had there moments, there best chance when the very impressive Willian hit a curler that smashed off the right hand post. We got the only goal of the game through Danny Welbeck with a real poachers effort, abit of a bore match but none the less we've done our job & can now turn our attention to the premier league for the next month before our FA cup tie with Blue Square South side Dartford.

Full Time: 1-0

Nani (7.8)
Breaking News:Aswell as Manchester United, Arsenal are through to the knockout stages after topping there group the same can't be said for Manchester City & Chelsea however. City could only draw at Partisan and Chelsea heavily beaten in France..Both finish 3rd and have to settle for the Europa League.
