We had a bright start to this game, with a couple of early chances we looked good & it showed on the scoreline after 22mins when Danny Welbeck intercepted Phil Neville's poor control and knocked it in past Tim Howard. Everton slowly got better in the second half and Jack Rodwell's fierce effort forced an astonishing save from David Da Gea however we cudent hold on and Time Cahill slided in the 6 yard box to knock the ball in past Jonny Evans. To be fair it wasn't a bad result as Everton are a tricky side but none the less its 2 points dropped in the title race.

This was by far the worst performance from my team since i took charge. Bolton played well all throughout the game and limited our chances, they took the lead just before half time when the ball was crossed into the 6 yard box for Gardner to toe poke in. We didn't improve in the second half and Rooney was continuing his poor form having not scored since the Norwich win, i brought him off and replaced him with Mbaye Niang for his league debut. We picked up abit and with 3mins to go we got the goal, Hernandez smashed the post and when it came out to Rafael to cross back in, Jay DeMerit got in its path and ended up in his own net. A point saved but in reality it's 4points dropped in the last 2 matches.

After the recent back to back draws our lead at the top was cut to just a point & i wanted a response from my players. Tottenham were by far the fastest starters and cut us open numerous times, Adebayor hit the crossbar and De Gea was forced into a couple of good stops. Towards the end i opted to get more men on the attack and it worked, we got into better positions and had more chances which was what i wanted & as we have a number of times this season we got a late winner..Valencia took the corner and thankfully it met Evans head to steer home, his 5th of the season. Nervy game but a good 3points even though we didn't play that well & i let my players know that!

Full Time: 1-0

This was a very entertaining game, end to end stuff throughout..Inside the opening 5mins Aguero struck a fantastic shot & it would of gone in if it weren't for an astonishing save from De Gea. For the next 20mins or so it was all us, Rooney Nani Valencia & Welbeck had good chances but came to nothing in the end, a great effort from Cleverley soon followed but was well saved by Hart. He had to be at his best again when Rooney went through on goal but cuden't get it past the in form keeper, at this point im wondering how we haven't taken the lead in this game! City went close on 40mins when City's free kick met Nasri's head but cuden't direct it on goal..The away side made the stronger start to the restart and forced a great stop from De Gea when Aguero played Silva in the strike but was met with safe hands. De Jong put the ball in our net an hour gone but was ruled offside, very nervy moments there however we got a massive break 2mins later when Richards interception from Nani fell into Rooney's path and he kept cool to drill into the net and give us a massive lead! For the remainder of the game we were calm and controlling but we still had time to seal the 3 points at the end when we went on the counter attack Rooney put a cross into the box and found substitute Anderson & he took his chance & secured the win over our massive rivals. This Boxing Day win means were now 7 clear of City and 4 clear at the top before the other days games.

Full Time: 2-0

David De Gea (8.4)

Young
Rooney (82)
Niang

An eight goal thriller at the Hawthorns & one we were on the right side of..just. Rooney put us ahead after just 7mins and it was 2-0 soon after, Mbaye Niang got his first league start of the season & repaid my faith in him with a slotted goal. Rafael gave away a penalty right on half time which David De Gea wonderfully saved from Shane Long. Within 10mins of the second half we were 4-0 up, extra goals from Young & Valencia getting us there, but all of a sudden we lost concentration..Simon Cox pulled one back for Bromwich & minutes later they got another from the spot, Rafael again giving away a penalty (il have harsh words with him.) They really went for another but when we broke them Ashley Young sealed the win with a scrappy goal in the 6 yard box, Olsson still had time to get himself a goal to give the home side a glimmer of hope but it weren't to be. Great game of football!

Full Time: 3-5

Ashley Young (9.1)
Contract News:On the day of our clash with Newcastle we recieve the news that both Paul Pogba & Paul Scholes have accepted new contracts..Scholes has a 1 year extention whilst Pogba has a deal which will run until June 2014, good news for the club.
Premier League:Vs Newcastle (Away)

De Gea

Vidic
Evans
Fabio
Valencia
Anderson
Carrick (45)
Nani
Rooney
Hernandez

Substitutes: Scholes (45)

There's nothing to say about this other than Newcastle were simply brilliant today & we just fell apart. They had 17 shot attempts & better possession (rare for both facts to go against us in a match) Fabio conceded a penalty & it was Demba Ba to step up and take it, thankfully we have a top goalkeeper in David De Gea and it was a top save from the spainard. The joy didn't last long as 3mins later Ba took his 2nd chance to drill home, he got a second 20mins from time after a good spell from us & they wrapped things up soon after when Ameobi smashed the ball past De Gea from 20 yards out. A day to forget for us & i made my players know how i felt about it!

Full Time: 3-0

Into the second half of the season now, i will be making no bids during the Jan window so will make do with the team i have until the end of the season, however if i spot a young talent i may be tempted. Following the heavy defeat at Newcastle i will be looking for a good run of games starting with the FA cup tie with Dartford.
