Hello everyone. Having never done a save with Manchester City I thought now would be a good time. Apart from the FA Cup win in 2011, the club have won no major trophies for a staggering 42 years. They won the division one title in 1968 and the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1970. I want to turn Manchester City into a team that challenges on every front, every season. Let's hope my first season in charge can be a successful one. Once the season kicks off I will be doing game-by-game updates. Thanks for reading...
TACTICAL SYSTEMS

There will be two formations in place, both using very similar tactics. I want my team to be disciplined, play attacking football and play the game at a high tempo. Closing the opposition down will be paramount to our success. With short simple passes and lots of energy, we will aim to put the opposition under constant pressure. I have appointed an all English backroom team (apart from the scouts), all with superb individual qualities that will help us grow as team.
TRANSFER UPDATE

I needed another defensive midfielder. Marouane Fellaini - Everton - £15,000,000.

A good central defender was another priority. Jan Vertonghen - Ajax - £8,000,000.

A great attacking right wing prospect. Gerard Deulofeu - Barcelona - £10,000,000.

A young keeper to take over from Joe Hart one day. Alphonse Areola - PSG - £3,000,000.
PRE SEASON UPDATE

v Dynamos 3 - 1
v Teraktor-Sazi 2 - 0
v Baniyas 5 - 1
v Alcoyano 1 - 0
v Al-Jazira 2 - 0

A very good pre season where the whole squad was involved. Joe Hart, Yaya Toure and David Silva were the standout players. The new signings have settled in well too.
You using the update? This will be an exciting story but whilst you do have world class players at your disposal not too exciting as other stories :P but will be interesting to see how you manage the players.

Subs Used - Vertonghen, Tevez

Beating our big rivals and winning some silverware. It doesn't get much better than that. We played very well and fully deserved the victory.

Thanks mate - I am using the update.
What players are you considering selling?
INJURY NEWS

Sergio Aguero will be out for 5 weeks after fracturing ribs during the previous match.

Mario Balotelli has joined Malaga for £10,000,000. He's a bag egg. As soon as the transfer went through, he told the Malaga manager that he wanted the team to be built around him because he was a world class player.
I've started as Man City manager and got rid of the likes of Savic on loan, Kolo Toure, loaned Zabaleta, got rid of Hargreaves, De Jong, Barry and loaned out Balotelli. Got in players to replace the ones I sold permanently and the few loanees So I got Ter Stegen, Vertonghen, yann m'vila and fellaini. So to replace Zabaleta I got in Van Der Wiel, for Savic I got Chiellini and for Balotelli, I bought Van Persie :). Some were through installments of course

What a start to the season. Back to back victories against Manchester United. Another fine display from the team and a great three points.

A massive shake up. I only need one more player and that should be it for this window. I do like Marc Andre Ter Stegen but £20,000,000 for a back up goalkeeper at this stage is ridiculous.
INJURY NEWS

Samir Nasri will be out for 5 weeks after fracturing ribs during the previous match.
It's a shame about your Chelsea career as i followed that well..however im looking forward to see how you do with City best of luck bud :)
