Squad/Staff Overview

The current first team squad looks solid. If I am able to bring in one or two good players then we could easily have two good players for every position. The morale is surprisingly high considering I am an unknown English manager. I have kept fellow countryman Paul Clement as the assistant manager, hired and fired some backroom staff so everything is ready to go on that front. First team and youth team training has also been set up.

Academy

I am a firm believer in bringing through and developing youth players. I am not the sort of manager who spends every penny the club has in every transfer window. I will promote any player who deserves it, regardless of their age. The Paris Saint-Germain academy has without doubt, the best talent pool I have ever come across. Listed below are the stand out players, but this list does not contain those youngsters who have two or two and a half stars potential, which there are also plenty of.

Tactical Systems



These are the two systems that are in place. I am looking for attacking, pressing football, whilst being disciplined all over the pitch. Pre season will give me a good indication of how the squad are taking to the tactics and I can then make any necessary adjustments.

Wage Structure

Key Player/First Team - £70,000 PW Max
Rotation - £50,000 PW Max
Back Up - £30,000 PW Max
Hot Prospect - £10,000 PW Max

I will keep a close eye on players contracts and bonus payments. The club will not back down in any negotiations with regards to paying a player/agent a certain amount. Any players joining the club will have to fit in with our wage structure. If our financial situation changes in the future for whatever reason then we will make the relevant adjustments.

Pre Season Analysis



A good pre season with four wins out of five. Both tactical systems were tested and I got to see what players worked best in certain positions. There was a strong showing in the squad and some of the youngsters also stepped up and made an impression. Hopefully the team can start the domestic season well and stay fit in the process.

Transfer Update



Diego Perotti has joined from Spanish side Sevilla for a fee of £10,000,000. A five year contract worth £50,000 a week was signed. We needed another attacking winger and he fits the bill perfectly. Also, at twenty three years of age he is one for the future. I hope he can settle in well and prove to be a great capture for the club.

As things stand, I don't need a new right back. I am using the Fahrenheit skin.
