Record Breaker



This kid has the potential to be a future star for the club. I mentioned previously that I would give opportunities to players regardless of their age and this shows why.

Not bad for a first competitive month. For the most part we were using our 4-2-3-1 system and we played some good football. However, we looked vulnerable at times so we switched to the 4-3-3 system for the away game at Toulouse and tore them apart. Apart from the Valenciennes match, where we ended the game with nine men, we have picked up some good points in the league. We also qualified for the group stages of the Europa league. I was starting to get worried about our strikers' lack of goals but then Kevin Gameiro popped up with a hat-trick to settle some nerves.

This is a group that we are capable of topping but we will have to be at our best. If we can pick up maximum points at home then we should be alright.

After the last fixture in September the board sacked me.

Completely out of nowhere they made it clear that the poor run of form in the league had been my downfall. We were eleventh after eight games so I was a bit confused as to why I had not been given more time. The one experience I will take from the French league is that it is very difficult and anyone can beat anyone.

Unlucky mate, but teams with a lot of money are quite impatient. Just look at Abramovic and Chelsea.
